That's true, they never stopped loving each other. They weren't together because Ross cheated Rachel and slept with that copy girl the very day they argued so much.
They are meant to be with each other. They weren't toxic , it was just jealousy that took Ross off. I mean seriously Mark had a major crush on Rachel. Who's boyfriend wouldn't be jealous? And when people say Rachel is selfish, don't you think that if she was really selfish why would she leave her dream job for a guy like that? Now that's true love. Everyone says Mondler is perfect. But love isn't perfect. There are ups and downs but Rachel And Ross didn't try to go through it because they weren't that serious and when time passed they got more serious and realised their feelings.
And his Insecurities - which many of us in the world have. Ross and Rachel are / were not toxic for each other - it took a crazy moment ( Rachel leaving ) to make Ross get that 'kick up his ass' he needed to just admit how he truly feels instead of being afraid. Love Ross and Rachel !!!

I love this relationship, but when they were trying to get an annulment/divorce, Rachel wrote the reasons they were doing was because Ross was gay and a drug addict, which is very far from the truth 😂
For me I feel like it had toxic vibes because Ross put Rachel down a lot, he hooked up with someone less than 24 from a break and they both didn’t heal from it before they started trying to work things out. Also whenever they were in relationships with other people they’d be kind of disrespectful to their partners. (Emily doesn’t count cause she was crazy like you can be friends with whoever and should trust your partners) And why couldn’t Ross have moved to Paris why did Rachel have to give up on her dreams? I don't really think they were toxic, just young people that made mistakes then learned from them. I think people tend to forget that's the whole premise of the show. Yes, they are adults, but Friends is about people in early and emerging adulthood. The characters make mistakes, learn and change as sort like the completion of growing up. That's why it ended when it did. By the end, all the Friends have steady careers, spouses and/or families of their own. They're not in that phase of life anymore.
My view of this relationship and of this show is the exact same as yours. I just don’t understand why people can’t differentiate toxicity from immaturity. All the mistakes they made were classic mistakes you make in your youth and it’s why many people can’t make a relationship last at that age. They have grown a lot during those 10 years. The only thing that stayed the same was the love they have for each other. ♥️
