Her parents died when she was young, her grandparents were the ones who raised her. In our culture, the concept of filial piety is strong and she's repaying her grandma for the years she spent raising her like a mother ^^

@@GreenMoonGirl not sure what video it was... but someone left a brief translation of Liziqhi's story on it. Nevertheless... her content is quality be it staged or no. And her skills are out of this world.
In case a lot of you don’t read Chinese, she explained how she was accused of being fake 2 years ago and decided to take a break and look for a cameraman and assistants to help her. So yes she does have a “crew” with 2or 3 members. She was doing it all by herself for the first year or so and it was extremely difficult to set up the camera and edit raw footages by herself. A simple 7 minute video might take her days, weeks to finish. Of course she’s not going to show you how she gets a cut or having a high fever. What she wants to present is a balance between nature and daily life in the village in an aesthetically pleasing way. So haters please be nice once online, stop the hating and calling people fools just because they believe the hard work and enjoy the videos.

Most natural fibers in their raw state are very short and need to be woven together, silk however is what's known as a filiment fiber meaning in its natural state the individual fiber strands are really long.

With the price of a yard of silk fabric, the idea of a conforter made entirely out of silk is a bogling though. I imagine thats kind of thing is passed down family and well taken care off

elarhy It's a lower quality silk, which is why it's being used as stuffing. The kind used to make clothes uses a different species of silkworm with a smaller cocoon, and also a different extraction technique. Regardless, this is probably still a very pricey quilt, considering that it's 100% handmade. I can't imagine all the time and effort that went into this one blanket.
I have one. It's very light and warm.
It lasts a long time. But not sure about generations. I had one for 30+ years it’s warm and on the heavy side
@@raerohan4241 yea less quality but still no less than 3 or 4 thousand dollars for that quilt... Not only is it hand made but its organically and locally grown... And 4 k is a humble price.

I myself, am a Chinese teen girl in America , and having experience with silkworms. For a bit of info, silkworms only eat mulberry leaves, and are really fun to take care of. They helped my sibling get over his fear of bugs, and are very gentle, and as moths, cannot fly. I can tell you guys that I am so happy that there are still people out there that appreciate the beings that make raw meterials such as silk. Lots of love from America!

There is so much beauty in what this woman does for her family and community. Her commitment to them and to the old ways is literally breathe taking.. Watching her video's brings hope and joy to so many of us who watch. I personally would give up my life here in the USA to live the remainder of days, living to assist her, in all she does.. to be a student of what she knows in that way of life, on a daily bases.. I am blessed just knowing some one with her devotions and work ethics being a good steward of the earth, it's animals and its People. I aspire.

She is a very sweet person both with other people, her grandmother and with herself. She did all of that to take care of her grandmother and keep her healthy. I admire her a lot, she does things that many of us would not be able to do, she is a very strong and hard-working woman. An example to follow for many of us.

It's just hateful people in denial. Instead of loving beauty in the world they hate it and want to deny/reject it. What is this "fake" business suppose to mean anyways? All her videos could literally have been re-enacted as some hand drawn cartoon/anime instead of her a real breathing person in a real life video footage, and it would still be some of the most beautiful artistic depiction ever created.
