    Have used this kit for sometime now. Noticeable increased Milwaukee hole saw kit speed, along as the lenght of life. Excellent for clean quick holes in Union made duct work for those all important smoke detection housings.

    Great demonstration Sparky. Milwaukee is really putting out the new products. Hand tools, electrical and plumbing specialty items., automotive. Wow.

    The largest of the 4 smaller hole saws, if you look at the bottom, you'll notice that there are matches that allow you to use the larger mandrel with the pins.

    A second WSU thi get that plug out is to take two 3" screws and screw thru the wood plug and the screws will pull that plug right out add you tighten the screws down.

    I recently used the red version of these (with the quick connections). It says any material, but I wore out all the teeth drilling metal boxes.

      Did any teeth break off or did the teeth just wear down?

      i always drill my 1/4" hole before attaching the holesaw. saved a number of holesaw teeth that way because you will inevitably slam the saw down on the workpiece after the pilot bit punches through

    I prefer the milwaukee bimetal blades for cutting stainless. and the true test is cutting (James Hardie) fiber cement board. I can get about 50 cuts out of a Lennox carbide blade before it stops cutting the wood sheathing.

      @@SparkyChannel another tip for those thinking of switching brands: the manufacturers of most holesaws make the blades and mandrels interchangeable, so you can use one company's blade on another company's mandrel.

    Thanks for the hole saw demonstration. I noticed the nut loosened up when you were cutting one of the holes. Is that nut just supposed to be hand tight?

    • @SparkyChannel
      @SparkyChannel  2 роки тому

      Welcome. Yes, it's supposed be hand tight. It may have started coming loose going thru the sheet metal on speed 2. I should have been on speed one. Good idea to check that nut after something like that.

    Know what size hole saw you need before using this kit. This kit sucks, it's for wood and soft metal, I bought this kit and the 3/4" conduit holesaw is 1 3/8" diameter , should be 1 1/8" , also after one hole in a standard panel the saw was garbage, I have the smaller holesaw kit and had it for a year, drilled allot of perfect holes and still has life in the saws, my basic opinion is that kit is junk, get the small kit and pay attention to the saw sizes

      Well if you didnt have to start with a holesaw then I would, maybe I will invent a box of 3/4" holes
