- Pablo Picasso is one of the most recognizable artists of our time. Nearly one hundred of his works on paper are on exhibition at Houston’s Menil Collection. It’s all part of a study on his incredibly distinctive use of lines.

The genius of Picasso is that he has controll of all the elements. That is design, composition, and colour. In alot of way`s the scenes are often quite conservativ. That is often it`s just paintings of fruit ( still life) or female act models . The Italian Futurism movement that came after Kubism was in alot of ways more radical because it used the same kubes and ways of seeing form, but also had the element of movement. But Picassos avantgarde design ( kubeism), was ahead of the time

True Picasso was a master of line but don't forget the debt we owe to Japan and the East, that artists like van Gogh recognized, which artists like Kim Jung Gi, Katsuya Terada and others carry on today.
any little dodad is a masterpiece...give me a break
The drawing of the animals he draws 3:12 are so cave painting like and childish in a way but I'm just seeing it from the outside.
Michaelangelo and Leonardo would being turning in their grave, if they saw Picasso's crap!
He was Leonardo plus Michelangelo and triple Mozart !

I tend to agree with you. Both of those artists would not give Picasso the time of day. You have to remember, Da Vinci, Michelangelo and Raphael were exceptional artists. However, some of Picasso's works are interesting. Guernica is well constructed.
@@KDRRalways I'm afraid Vika you need to revisit all of the above. Picasso does not come close.
