very recently, Sophie i read a news report of the wealthy traders of Delhi, raising lacs of rupees to buy goats on the Bakri-Eid occassion, buying them, apparently to save them from being sacrificed..... what was that brouhaha abt, Sophie....?

Off course yes... the Lal - temple bang opp Red fort, a historical Jain temple since Emperor Akbar's reign & numerous such small, big tJain temoles dotting the by lanes in Chandni chowk & elsewhere... but am sorry to share with u the depressing scenario inside these temples of, administratorsz office-bearers, routinely openly consuming, tobacco, conduct & discourse utterly loud, foul & coarse, un clean washrooms, within these sacred holy places of worship, in almost most parts of west & north India, barring a tiny miniscule temples....!!!

The Telegraph - Calcutta recently reported an education - initiative by the WB govt, adopting the Union edn ministry under the N E P policy ie National edn policy, proposal to introduce an 11 digit unique identification number - - P E N ie permanent education number - - to each & every student, across the country, apparently to facilitate the easy transfer of students across schools....
P E N... Sophie? that sounds an alarmingly disturbing initiative, Sophie....
like the chaos forecast by Mnsr E Macron - Presidente'- France.... Mr J Stiglitz...?
What else does it mean but, a small claustrophobic enclosure for animals ie a PEN....?
