@@julianshepherd2038 I wouldn't say that, I'm 60 and I remember as a teenager travelling on the bus to work in Aberdeen and on may occasions the rivers burst their banks. I also heard my mother talk about floods and snow storms long before we spoke about climate change.
@@bikergirl7823 rivers flooding is not a particularly good measurement of climate change. some rivers are prone to flooding on occasions with heavy rain. Scotland itself is a very rainy country, but the last week it has been raining constantly. Almost every hour of everyday, and that does make rivers prone to flooding. Climate change is obviously going to effect how often rivers flood if we start to get hit with even more torrential rain. Or for example if we experience weeks of drought the river will be lower along with lakes. Climate change doesn’t happen overnight 60 years to you is the blink of an eye on cosmological scale. As a school kid, i was told heat rises, it goes up into the sky in an almost invisible mist, there it begins to gather more mist which gives us "clouds" when its hot in some countries more mist, even sand is lifted up until the cloud becomes so heavy it turns to rain. This is what happens when you lose so much forest to build wind turbines further north, the felling of whole forest's and destruction of the cover for mountain hares to build wind turbines because you do not want bird strikes to damage your blades leads to the topsoil being washed off and the water just runs straight down the mountain sides
Sepa has a lot to answer for . Not letting farmers clean out ditches to let water away in its natural ways . Nit forcing it out onto roads and into villages and towns all to save insects of certain types . Humans obviously dont matter to them .
Sod’s Law that we had an exceptionally dry Spring & Summer in the north-east 🏴 with rivers down to a trickle - and all that missing water falls now 🌧 within a couple of days 🥺.
Exactly, perfectly normal and has been like this for thousands of years, yes it's humans fault for building so close to the water, never learn, still doing it now!
Imagine the dangers for people when that house was inhabited, and there were always bad floods in winter although they weren't as frequent because there wasn't Geoengineering being carried out in times past.
You dramatize, because the rivers often burst their banks. Also, there wasn't that much rain, it was flooding so you would think clim ate change is happening. There is no clim ate change

River and waterway management does help. Dredging and cleaning the rivers. Building on natural flood plains etc etc......
Thanks for uploading I live locally wanted to see the flooding without travelling and potentially putting myself in danger

Climate change means more erratic wether so droughts floods storms

Much of Scotland’s forestry was cleared prior to the end of 1200AD. Don’t agree that wind turbines are nature’s enemy.
Is that house built in the river?
A water mill !
Holy Moses …. That’s so upsetting again for all in this flood’s path … stay safe and god bless you all … fellow Scot in central, belt 🏴🥰
Please be safe its just awfull same areas being hit defences not strong enough
Wow that's a bad down pour.
A well constructed foundation.

Try to beat Winter, it gets crazy in Europe, especially weather part
Strong flow going on there but look what a New Zealand river can be like as an example of the difference type in Cyclone Gabriel New Zealand.

Not having ditches is the natural way.

The same law said, it won't always fall over the sea
A lot of gold being displaced in that torrent, ✨✨✨✨✨🤔
Yeah but, theres still a water shortage, apparently.
I’ve got an idea, let’s build some things to store this water until the summer time.

No golf then.
If you fell in that water, don't bother trying to escape, you are fish bait. No more than that. Very frightening.
A woman did about 40 miles further down at Monymusk trying to save her dog , she still hasn’t been found , the dog has , it was dead !
