Hello again- now getting into squash I was looking into Salming stuff and the Kobra 2s are catching my eye a bit.. would you say these Kobra 1s fit true to size? Or would you go a half size or full size up from what you'd normally wear in leisure everyday sneakers? Thanks!
hello, just one quick question. Does the outside (softer) part of the toe box strech out after its been worn some time or it stays that way? I'm curious because i have very wide feed and hope to know how it would fit. Thanks!
Hi Milan, unfortunately I don't have a clear answer for you. I don't think that area expanded for me, but I don't have the shoes anymore to check on it. Also I have average-width feet. Sorry not to be very helpful there
Hi. I am relatively a new squash player. Started about 10 weeks ago. I’ve been playing casually and recreationally. I dont think I’d ever compete competitively. Do you think it’s still worth it to invest in a good pair of shoes like the salming kobra/race or dya have any other recommendations for someone like me? I play on average about 2-3x per week (some sessions are just me dng solo drills). My concern is that if i do invest in a good pair, it has to last me for a long time! (Say one year and above?) I also have somewhat of a flat foot. Hope to hear from your soon!
Honestly I'd go for something simpler like the Asics Gel Rocket series, which are less expensive but still good enough that many pros use them. I don't know about how they work with a flatter foot. The Kobras are a really nice shoe with probably more padding than the Rockets but they are one option of many.
I like the Kobras better. The Vipers were a little too flat for me and weren't as comfortable on my knees. Some people like that about the Vipers but it was not the best for me.
Dont buy these or Kobra 2, I've had 3 pairs (replaced by manufacturer), in each case, the ribbon on which the laces attach has come loose. The Hawk is much better.
Thanks Steve. That happened to me too (original Kobra). Seen in this follow-up video: ua-cam.com/video/6xeGlxolp5k/v-deo.html Shame they didn't fix it with Kobra 2, which I never tried

Hey I just went for my regular size but some readers found them too big and went a size down

Squash Source thank you! I'll try out the the various models before making my decision then!
Hey Pierre, which shoes would you say are better? The Kobra's or the Viper 3s?
I like the Kobras better. The Vipers were a little too flat for me and weren't as comfortable on my knees. Some people like that about the Vipers but it was not the best for me.
Squash Source unihoc u4 vs salming kobra for floorball? hard To make choice😕
Teemu H Ite ostin U4 pari päivää sitten ja en ite tykänny hirveesti. Palautan nämä U4 ja ostan kobrat 👍
markantoinio777 ok vois syksyllä ostaa uudet kengät vasta syksy peleihin
Hannes Juhaninmäki mietin myös noita gel blade5 vs salming kobra
can you do mizuno rewiew? your videos are amazing!
Thanks, I haven't really tried Mizunos before but I will see what I can do...
Which is lighter ?
Kobra = 355 grams per shoe. R2 333 grams. I played in the Kobras yesterday so that probably adds 5-10 grams of sweat!
Squash Source thanks, in your opinion wich one like you most, Viper, R2 or Kobra ?
R2, most comfortable on my foot. Kobra 2nd, Viper 3rd.
Kobras have this huge design flaw with eyelets....for most people they are breaking....i guess thats why they are not going for that style anymore

Sorry but I find it annoying every time you say ummmmm and the voice before it.
Yeah it is kind of annoying, something I do without thinking
