    Give kayo the ability to self destruct with a detonation radius that can be self activated if he goes below 20% during his ult instead of the 800 hp. Would be more viable to the them

    Great tip for kayo:
    His Molly is loud af and it can cover your footsteps so you can throw it in an area where you know there's an enemy and run full speed and they won't hear you run

    To improve his ult, they shud allow him to crawl to move to a safer position to get rezed by a teammate so that way teammates wont have to go to you in order to be reseted

    I think if he was able to self revive but the revive stops once he gets hit by any bullet it would make him more viable. it would give the enemy's incentive to damage him whilst he's down and it would make him a lot more annoying when ur defending a site from him

      KAY/O revive is a bit bad bcuz it takes 15 secs to revive and Enemy can simply kill him ( I AM KAY/O MAIN )

    Why didn't they just make Kayo's Ult revive him after the timer? Isn't that the point of him being like the terminator?

      Well if he can’t move at all then then he will just rez in his ult to die soon after by the same person or some one else killing him. And it would be unfair if he just got to have two straight lives no contesting it then that would be unfair also. And phoenix already has that

      I say they just let him move around while he is knocked down. No headshots but he can still be slowed down a ton. So if someone pays mind to him before he can get rez’d then that’s one less person to fight. If not he will crawl away. Lower his health a bit though. Let him have an ok crawl speed, maybe around walk speed. I think this is fair so if he is too far away from a team mate then he has no choice but to die

    They could give Kay-o's knife the ability to tag people once like a cypher cam
    I feel like this would give a Intel gathering aspect to him while not making him overpowered
    Edit: the tag would only happen once when the knife goes off

    honestly frag/ment is really useful when you need to play time with your opponent,
    as defender and attacker, you can hold enemies for 5 seconds with great placement of frag/ment, you can deal damage to them so your teammates can finish them easily, or you can throw it to clear angle
    Kay/o is much effective for play time, distrub push or rush push. his ability is so annoying that make enemies' strat get mess up

    I honestly like where they were going with kay/o's kit, more classic tactical op type stuff. Coming from R6 this dude suits my playstyle, Thatcher emp, dbno state, and flashes! only two tweaks i can think of would be: make the frag like a real one, a near insta kill to suit his kit and to take the flash noise away. Otherwise really good character me likey

    they need to allow his knife to mimic sova's recon giving away enemy positions even if for a small duration..say 3-5 seconds of positions being revealed while retaining the 8 seconds of nerf. Maybe then people just take a 50-50 whether they want additional info using sova's drone or want a character who has a molly on the comp. And the ult giving away his position is the saddest part.

      @@naivedyasrivastava1653 look I was trying to suggest a low effort change as if I indulge in wish making, it's gonna add to the devs time to first even consider or build that "unique feature" and rebalance once if such a fantasy plays out and that unique ability does get released into play.
      For reference, look at the timeline on the promised yoru rework.
      And further, we're just maybe one smart streamer away from seeing how to make Kay0 work just as how Red, ethos and shroud are successfully playing yoru no complaints and even making good use of the available kit. They don't even seem bothered about waiting on the rework.

      @@akashtripathy3777 I respect your view. I think KAY/O doesn't need a major rework to its kit alike Yoru's. Adjustments and tweaks to its abilities power level can also do the trick. As far as KAY/O's suppression ability is concerned, that should still persist in the game to counter the post plant meta and ability dominance over gunplay.

    Remove the sound from the flash and make it like Cs, then change the knife so that it can bounce once if toggled (This could improve the info gathering and allow u to take angles in more unique ways). The molly may have to be reworked, I don´t have any ideas for it. His ult could change by making his revive time lower or maintaining the supression even when dead, so that u still provide utility for the team. This could be overkill, but the robot needs the help.

    One thing they could do is to give his ulti or/and E more interactions with other ultimates/abilities.
    Like say if u hit KJ ulti, the timer before it goes off stops by a couple seconds. Phoenix or Yoru "timer" goes down by a %, so if they have 3 seconds left it could jump down to 1s or end its effect (phoenix goes back and yoru gets forced to appear again). If you hit cypher while his ulti channel then they will see fake enemy locations all around, Sage revives their team mate with very low HP, etc.

      R6 Siege has "agents" like this. They counter each other. For example IQ can see Valkyries hidden cameras through walls and destroy them easily
      Counter mechanics are usually bad

    KAY/O and SOVA is my main but and i love KAY/O, as for the Knive Zero point i normally use it when somebody try to block with vision also work great against KJ to push in

    KAY/O's molly does synchronize with his dart when clearing some space. I played him and got a lot of kills by comboing both skills by getting info on players in a tight corner (yknow what i mean) by using dart and mollying the area when the dart tagged him. Jett wont be able to dash/smoke to safety, raze wont be able to satchel, etc etc. But its a shot in the dark to know if the enemy was in that tight spot and most people on high elo doesn't really camp in a spot without an escape route, but some does when they know they have a escape skill which dart will remove.

    I mean, with his ult you can run into the enemies. When you die you can still get some information because you can still se something. I know its not the best way to use kayo, but it could be helpful in some situations

    if they made kayo's flashes pop like yoru's do it will be way difficult to dodge them, for some reason his abilities seem to take forever to equip.
    In case you guys didnt knw, try throwing the flashes while taking a step back, amazing how they pop

    They should give his knife a one bounce option. They should make his Molly fire with 3 different speeds, and 0, 1, or 2 bounces... like Sova's track dart. His flashes should take snapshots of every agent that's flashed, giving him info on enemies flashed and direction faced... as well as teammates.

    I personally feel like the meta is actually not the game's responsibility as much as it is the people's. Cause this game literally has so much potential it's just a question of : are people creative enough n willing to tap into that potential or are they just gonna stay in the comfort zone

      This is true as hell. Remember when everyone was shitting on Skye for being trash up until like a month ago where people suddenly realized shes good even AFTER she got nerfed. People need to explore the meta more instead of just settling on the popular opinion.

      @@moonfrostic I agree. Usually if I like a character, I'll keep on using them. Then I'll get creative and try to work around whatever weaknesses they might have. Sometimes it leads to me finding some crazy niche tech which makes me love the character more.
      That's how I am in any character based game. And that's all before I know if a character is considered bad or meta by the community .

      fr. im a beginner to valorant and FPS games in general, and seeing this video kinda discouraged me, but i really like kay/o's aesthetic/voice acting (forgive me for basing it off on that, i really dont give a fuck when i dont like how characters look!). i just thought that, if people think his kit is shitty or whatever, then it'll be up to me to think for ways on how to use it that fits how i want to do things. since this channel is pretty adamant that kay/o's kit needs reliance on allies, i just... got fired up to be good enough with kay/o that i disprove that theory lol. idk. maybe this is just the idealistic tendencies of someone who truly does not know what the game is like. i mean, i've never even played ranked games yet! the number thingy at the top of my banner is "6"! lol.

    I think KO need a rework on the flash. His flash are a bit weak in my opinion because when you left click and hit the wall, it don't bounce as far as i would like it to go. I think his flash should be more light so i can bounce of a wall ore the floor.

    his knife can be improved by making the cancelation of abilities last for 12-14 seconds. that way it can be really enough time to prevent a last second push. also maybe a slightly bigger radius
    his ult - maybe allow him to crawl while in the ult or make him self detonate which i think could be quite funny
    his flash - reduce the sound by a bit
    his molly - i have no clue lol (edit - maybe allow him to walk through his own mollys?)

    I'm plat 3/diamond 1 and I play him a lot and see him being played at a decent amount. He's 100% necessary if you want to push a site with a good Killjoy or Cypher, specially on Ascent B or Split B.
    I honestly think he's fine, maybe a little buff to his molly would be good, but not that necessary

      I mean, I wouldn't say he's 100% necessary to push against a good sentinel. Sova can destroy their util on Ascent and Raze can do it on Split. So can Breach, but well, he's Breach. Skye's Tasmanian Tiger (and Yoru's Fakeout, but again, he's Yoru) can also be used to bait out sentinel utility.
      Also both KJ turret and Cypher cam can be blinded. There's definitely ways to play around them without Kay/O, especially with the incoming KJ nerfs.
      I do think that Kay/O is pretty strong on Split, but I wouldn't call him necessary.

    Allow Kay/O to crawl while downed, and maybe allow his knife to ping as if tagged by a sova dart once, just because half the time, you can't play off the information and it doesn't serve well as a stall when on defense, people just swing anyways. Most agents don't have or rely on their abilities to peak or take gunfights. This way you have a bit more reliable info to use if used tactically (without requiring you to have teammates who know what they're doing cause that oftentimes won't happen in auto-fill), and it helps stall pushes, at least I would be hesitant to push a corner if I was just pinged.

    for me, kay/o is a hero based on csgo lineups, the flash and his grenade works just like in csgo
    although his grenade is mixed with a molly, and if u want to force your enemies on raw gameplay the knife comes in handy for just a second

      maybe reduce the distance or increase the time before the knife is used and have the lockdown effect. that way u can dodge the knife or destroy it, but if you dont then you are basically dead. You can use this knife in conjuction with a molly to corner people into getting lockdown'd tho.

    Kayo buffs: remove flash sound. Give ult more health and ability to move. Make Molly do more damage.

    I find some flaws in the logic behind how the knife should be used.
    I have found out that it has clear advantages over sova dart (as well as disadvantages). The main one being it scans an area regardless of walls, this allows you to know if an area is clear without flaws. Let's say you want to enter through a site on breeze, the knife can be used on the left side to clear that area, if no one is found then you know you have to clear the right side of the room and can disregard the left side. With sova dart, you may miss one because of the walls.

    I dont really agree your opinion against kay o molly, his molly can be used even without his smoker teammate or sentinel, u can just use enemy smoke as an advantage, for example on icebox at mid, when an enemy smokes mid and they rush wait until they get into the smoke then molly their way out, so they cant go behind bcs there is a molly but they can still rush with high risk, thats why we need to spray before the molly stops

    I was playing Omen and Sova before I started to solely main KAY/O. Even tried Skye.
    Here's my take:
    Do you like to be able to play according to how your team is? What I mean here is, if you solo queue, and you see your team is high level and very capable of carrying? Or maybe you need to help them unlock the full potential? Or maybe you have a full 5 stack? In the solo scenario, you can watch flanks and stop flanks as well as help hold flanks both post/pre-plants defending or attacking. Or you can help the team's top frag push in and stay safer... Using yourself to damage as many as you can before you go down. Or even use yourself to allow trades and pushes into sites/stop pushes.
    When 5 stacking? Well, then you are superbly OP.
    KAY/O is very much like Omen and Yoru, or Astra.
    Not in how he plays, but how he requires a very dedicated time spent in learning him before you get good with him. These are the agents you will see used very less in pro play simply because why waste time trying to overcome a huge learning curve when you can simply choose 5 of the more easier and devastating agents?
    Lastly, a few buff ideas for KAY/O.
    While I disagree with the tagging of enemies like Cypher/Sova after the Ult or knife or the ability to self res etc that keep floating around, I do have other ideas that don't make him game-breakingly overpowered but still make him more mainstream friendly if that's what people want.
    Simply give him a flash for kills like Raze's nades. So after he uses his 2 flashes, give him maybe 1 more flash if you get a kill (even 2 for 2 more kills, but that again sounds a bit too much). Give him a voiceline for flashing just like Skye. Keep his flash Duration and timing etc the same. Nerfing that will destroy him as an agent. He needs a buff for his flash if he needs to be more mainstream friendly. Keep the rest as is, maybe give him crawl at a slightly slower than walk pace when downed. More than that I believe it's better to keep his ult up till he completely is killed, so even when down his ult throws pulses out till he is either damaged enough to die or his timer runs out.
    At the end of the day, he's perfectly viable as an agent if you go ahead and learn him, though a few buffs won't hurt much and definitely won't make him easier to play, but may give his dedicated mains more happiness :')
    Don't nerf him. Please.

    Maybe they can add to his nade that he can plant it as a mine. Left click to throw, right click to plant it. If people step on it, it will explode just like usual. I feel like this will be fine compared to Killjoy.

    fienixs ultimate n ko are similar but different with ko ur ult is used to push n stall the enemy he is not a bad solo q agent if u know what you are doing but he is a team corninated agent

    I suppose the buff will be like the x/ultimate would be the same with the exception being that whenever it does the blink it gives info or it does what kj ult but only for 0.10 seconds. The c/ grenade maybe add a bigger radius or add + 10 more damage. The q/flash I honestly think its good enough.
    E/ emp knife still same but add more seconds at least 4 more seconds or kj ult but only for 1 second. My opinion only Idk tho it might make him too op with the kj ult

    They should just add slow effect to knife, whoever gets hit by it suppressed or slowed for short duration and ability to detonate flash mid-air after throwing it (This changes might be bit too OP)

      I think the slow might be a bit much but I like the flash detonation. I'd also allow him to self rez or to move when he dies in his ult.

    You are analyzing each ability on it's own but you forget that these abilities co exist. The reason why sova's dart gives better information is because his other abilites are not as strong as kayo's (2 flashes and a grenade) and in reallity sova has no stalling/stopping utility, on the other hand kayo's zero/point doesn't give as mush information but it suppresses abilities. Abilities are meant to combo each other so of course if you look at any ability individually it might not be the best. The fuse sound the flash makes is not nearly as mush as a disadvantage as you make it out to be. At close range even if someone hears the fuse sometimes they won't have enough time to react so they are going to get blinded anyway or they have to turn around (still get flashed a bit) and then turn back to face you, in which case you have peekers advantage while your enemy has to quickly readjust their aim after doing a full 180 so it's a win win. At long ranges is as good as a flash can get, again comparing his flash (or any other flash) wiht skye's flash is not a good comparison, skye's flash is overpowered you said so yourself so why compare with it ? You say the moly doesn't suit his abilities ? Why ? You throw a knife see enemies and a molly to potentially delay damage or kill them, you can use it to gain map control or to deny a push, what more do you need from a molly ? You then go on to say "you potentially put your self in danger because you are trying to throw a molly when you should have your gun out", well that's the case with every molly in the game or in fact with every ability, also what do bad decisions have to do with the ability and how strong it is ? On the other hand his ult is a lot worse lol, it just a giveaway of your position and nothing else, you are better off not using it at all in most situations.
    It seems you are really trying to make the abilities look bad when in reality they are not. They only thing kayo needs is a ulty rework to be viable. Still most of the disadvantages you mention are really not that big of a deal , molly is as good as a molly can be and it depends on your skill, flashes are again as good as a flash can be, the fuse sound can even be used to your advantage if you are smart enough (just like in csgo) the knife can stop an early push or give acces to a site by disabling abilities (people won't rush in when their abilities are disabled like you said, that's just stupid) plus you get information on how many there are and who are they so you can let your team know (for example if you are b and spot a sova or a kayo you can tell the rest of your team so that they don't have to worry for a dart or a knife)

    The fact that KAY/O can throw his flash so far and that it doesn’t immediately pop off of walls like Yoru’s means he can do some pretty fun flashes around most areas, including important ones. I still agree that Skye’s flashes are by far the best, but KAY/O’s definitely have some good use. Maybe the timer on when the flash makes noise could be reduced? Currently it’s 1 second, so maybe reduce it to 0.7 seconds?
    His molly definitely needs a buff despite how much burst damage it does, maybe either 5 bursts or less time between bursts.
    His blade is definitely useful for gathering early info and hurting pushes/retakes, though as a KAY/O you’ve got to learn the right places to throw your knife so that it doesn’t get instantly shot or miss an area.
    Finally there’s his ult, which functions similarly to a Phoenix ult, being generally stronger as a whole, but has the drawback of your teammates needing to push with you and get your trade if you go down, which makes sense as KAY/O is an Initiator. As long as your team is getting kills off of your down then you did your job. On defense it’s a bit more iffy, but it performs the same role as the blade on defense, preventing utility spam during a push, which is pretty useful.
    Of course this is all ignoring the fact that KAY/O’s suppressive abilities disable Killjoy, Cypher, Viper, Jett ult, Raze Ult, and Sova ult, along with any other utility big and small.
    KAY/O is a good agent, but it’s the opposite reaction to Killjoy’s release where they’re overall fine, could use a small buff here or there, but people just need to learn how to play them.

    Kayo's ult has a bad problem of alerting enemies. Once they are supressed and they have no knives, they know kayo is around.
    I have no idea how to use his ult. Giving a big combat stim could also work.

    Tbh, I played game that uses Gundams with different categories like a Raiid, General, and a Support. While Valorant has Duelists, Controllers, Initiators, and Sentinels. I agree with you when you said that KAY/O is more of a support since most of hist abilities are a bit useless than other agents. I kinda use him as my main but not just because of his abilities, but because I like his design on the battlefield. And I think, in my opinion, that the initiators are like the support team of Valorant, Duelists are the Raids, and Sentinels and Controllers are the generals.

    i think he could be more powerful and more viable if his ult buffs his abilities say if he ult's his knife turns into a detain much like killjoy and his flashs turns silent or his molly does more damage or last longer, like he said his ult sounds powerful on paper but realisticly no one's gonna go out in the open to revive kay/o or maybe he's ult aura could detain people after it ends like a walking killjoy ult instead of buffing his skills he is a robot afterall so lore wise it would be sense since killjoy knows that kind of technology

    Make him self res after the duration, reduce is downed hp if it's broken.
    That way the enemies will either be forced to shoot his body or focus on his teammates
    A good distraction

    I recently started maining Kayo and I enjoy him a bunch but I do agree he could use some changes. Here are what I had in mind:
    Frag/ment: It's honestly fine, I think making it do damage through walls would be too strong but I don't know
    Flash/drive: Either reduce their noise, make pop flash pop faster, or make it like a CS flash
    Zero/point: Make it detonate faster, slightly larger radius, and reveal their outlines for like 3-5 seconds
    Null/cmd: Allow him to crawl around when downed and be able to self revive so he's more independent and/or be able to "self destruct" when he's alive in his ult and has 1 or 2 pulses left, dealing damage to a radius around him, and also to not reveal his position every pulse would be nice

    He has no sustain. That's why the reposition when knocked down during ulti was a good idea.
    Reyna has a better flash and a heal.
    He should have 1 second of damage protection which would very useful especially when using a shotgun.
    Why would anyone make a robot that isn't bulletproof.

    i once got into a situation where i had to choose sova or kay/o i tried kay/o because i thought its gonna be good and fun but i was wrong and regretted to choose kay/o maybe because im just bad at using him
    and now imo sova is better than kay/o bc his recon dart does a better job and sova ult can actually kill from litterally the other side of the map

      Sova and Kayo have completely different kits, Sova's is intuitive and has a low barrier to entry. Kayos kit is more complicated since its less about direct fire and more about indirect support.

    People misuse Kay/O's knife ability a lot. It sometimes can work as well as Sova Recon for first few rounds, then the enemy adapt to it and try to avoid it, rush site after knife was thrown. I play Kay/O as a support Initiator, like if teammate report "many B", I will throw the knife where enemy can't destroy it and check to see how many enemies are there.
    My opinion is Kay/O is underrated at the moment because not many people understand his playstyle. When the utility meta comes, Kay/O will be a hot pick for sure.

    I always play Kayo cause his flash was so OP in my opinion. Sometimes I just using his molly to prevent enemy for fast planting or fast rush or just to make the enemy get 1 hit by his molly.
    and I think his ult maybe too short for being an ult, but idk, I love playing kayo, I often become a top frags with kayo instead of being a duelist😂

    I think Kayo is viable just the way he is. Riot didn't make Kayo to gather information. Like look at any other initator: skye has the seekers and the dog, breach has the flashes that go through walls and all his other wall breaking abilities, and sova's sova. I use kayo's knife not to gather information but to just take fights where my team has the advantage. Not all initiators have to gather information and their job is just to set the duelists up so i think he's perfect right now. No needs for buffs or nerfs.

    His dart could ping the agents you hit on the map for a split second like a cypher ult so you have that little bit more info also knowing they cant use abilities

    QOTD: Imo, KAY/O only needs 2 buffs to make him a viable pick
    1. Imo KAY/O’s ult is underwhelming and arguably the worst part of his kit as it’s mostly an annoyance unless you can actually see KAY/O. To fix it, maybe Riot could add an info gathering aspect if the opponents are close enough to KAY/O that could be something like a Valkyrie scan from Apex Legends. Also, the faster firing is more of a crutch than a buff as it becomes harder to control his spray. To fix this, Riot could switch out that buff for something more tactically useful such as faster reload time.
    2. This isn’t an issue with KAY/O but rather with how oppressive Skye and Sova are as they can do all that KAY/O can but better. To deal with this, all Riot would need to do is nerf Skye or Sova and depending on the nerf KAY/O could become viable again.
