Hi Eva, thanks for coming by😊🤗 I have always prefer the 2.55, because it’s the original, and it’s more understated, doesn’t scream Chanel 😁 also it’s more lightweight, easy to wear and the chain length is perfect for both shoulder and crossbody wear. Fantastic review of the 2.55. You’re very eloquent, charming and knowledgeable. I prefer the 2.55 Chanel bag to Karl Lagerfeld’s “classic” version. The 2.55 is chic, understated, elegant, timeless and holds so much history.

What a fabulous review, Cindy! 💕 I really appreciated all the interesting history you shared behind Coco Chanel’s design inspirations - e.g., I hadn’t known the 2.55 was essentially the first shoulder bag! I have the 2.55 reissue mini in black with aged gold hardware, which I cherish even though it’s not the original double flap. I reach for it a lot because it’s so versatile, lightweight, and easy to wear. I think Chanel must have performed some magic on the chain straps 😁 - it’s amazing how comfortable they are, even on bare shoulders!

I once was offered a mini 2.55 so black at the start of the year at the boutique, but didn’t take it, I still kick myself for it till this day☹️ the aged gold hardware is the most classic though, and it doesn’t get scratched easily. Yeah I also mentioned the chain in the video, it’s just so beautiful and comfortable, Coco is a real design genius 😊

A small question if possible, what was the original chain for the 2.55, is the silver or the gold? Thank you again!
Hi Juliet, thanks leaving me the lovely comment 😊 I believe that both the aged gold and silver hardware was the original, although my SA told me the aged gold came first, so I chose the gold😁
LOVE your story telling Cindy!! I still have my reservations about the turnlock for the Reissue. It doesn't sing to me 🙄🙄 but the diamond quilting, black on ghw still spells luxe! TFS love!
Hi Lokie, I went to the boutique thinking of getting the classic flap, but saw the reissue, couldn’t decide on which one to get, so I ended up getting both😜 it was the biggest impulsive purchase, luckily not one that I regret😃🤗

I believe in sustainable fashion. It is heartbreak seeing perfectly new bags being unloved and discarded just because someone wants an upgrade. So here's me picking all the trash and making it my treasure. 🥲🤗
I’ve never been to the Camberwell market 😊 I buy antique furnitures, I have a set of Victoria lounge that’s 170 years old😊 I’ll start looking at preloved fashion items now that I’m influenced 😃 I agree that you get amazing unique pieces and it’s good for the environment 😊
