Such ghosts and spirits have been shown in the show to have the memories and personalities that they had in life. As a powerful warlock, Nicholas has been shown to be able to summon the life forces of several persons from the grave and beyond to live again. Examples include bringing Cassandra back to life after her exorcism, bringing Angelique back from Hell as a vampire, temporarily resurrecting three of the men Lang had stolen parts from to make Adam, bringing back Carolyn after she had died in the experiment, and calling Danielle Roget back to life temporarily as Leona Eltridge so that her life force could be transferred to Eve in the experiment. The black art of having communication with and/or control over the spirits and/or the bodies of the dead is called necromancy. Thus, necromancy is one of Nicholas' powers as a warlock. Angelique has also been shown to have the power of necromancy, but she is not as powerful as Nicholas.
