In a sick, twisted way, seeing everybody bond over the Ankha craze was one of the most enjoyable moments of 2021. Some found it catchy, some liked the animation, some hated its prevalence and some became a tad too obsessed with it. But everybody knew, and could laugh about it, or whistle it, or draw doodles that get you in hot water with the security staff. In true internet fashion, all it took to bring back that olden meme magic was a funny dancing cat.
Now it's the final week of 2021, and we have a legitimately sweet animation with good holiday vibes and insane quality. Art's a wonderful thing.
It was pretty complicated for me. I had a huge crush on ankha as a child and saw that animation pretty much the day it came out. Then completely forgot about only to wake up on day to see that there has been a business insider artical on it. I had a mini heart attack. Im glade zone is getting the attention they deserve though.

I wish there were more songs like this. The layered vocals, the simple 80s style beat, focusing more on the combined voices of those involved rather than the music. Gives me chills whenever I hear something like it.
Same here. Another rare style that gives me chills is when they incorporate off-beat sections well. Or maybe it's slowed down sections? I don't know my terms very well but it changes the rhytm, often slowed down, and sometimes even layered.

Actually! There is! As someone already mentioned its called italo disco! Just look up the genre and you'll get all sorts of selections. Some of my fav artists is My Mine, Fancy, Silent Circle, David Lyme, Eddy Huntington etc...

I still find it oddly fascinating how this single animation loop from a very much appreciated yet very indulgent animation.
