Having viewed this video and then slept on it, I must add a comment for potential viewers: There is no Digital Stoke Media video that has had more of a impact on me, and that is saying a great deal, because they are almost ALL moving, instructive, entertaining, thought-provoking, and worth every climber's while in many ways. This one is SO full of importance for outdoor adventurers, in so many ways, that it has unexpectedly left me, "reverberating" in a very big way. Marcus' utterly low key style just makes every moment of this profound content more moving. Thanks to Digital Stoke for ANOTHER exceptionally worthwhile documentary.
@@skip1860 Would love to do more. Unfortunately, I was producing some of these on my own. Can't keep that up for too long. I am working on some new stuff and, hopefully, can revisit some of this stuff as well. Thanks for watching!
@@skip1860 Yeah, I need to change that. I don't subscribe to the "content" moniker either anymore. Used to mean more than just throwaway stuff online. At least a few years ago. I'll change it and keep that in mind for the future. Thanks for considering my work more that just "content".
Thanks for the stories Marcus! ..i cant believe i never heard that one. I used to set routes for yall back at exposure in the early 90s. Ill never forget Jimmy. He was always friendly and encouraging! RIP jimmy. Thanks for posting this, glad i watched it, brings back memories...
What separates Marcus from most people is his invincible ability to stay positive no matter what is happening. I watched this video twice and cannot even imagine how they got through it.
Great story. I have climb that thing twice and have been very fortunate to have good weather I know that only a big wall in Yosemite can teach you what a human being is really capable of enduring
So awesome, what an inspiring dude with such a great attitude. Love the part where he shit his pants and tells Jimmy and he’s like ya so what I pissed my pants like two hours ago :) Can’t wait for your next video, these are great 👍🏻

Great story well told!
Hey that’s my dad:)
Are you a badass climber too?
Your dad seems like a really great guy who’s put a brave face on some terrible trials. I’m sure you’re proud, as you should be. Cheers!
Wow thanks for that. RIP Jimmy you sound like an absolute legend.
What great stories and attitude
Great story! Crushes my story of weathering a light rain storm on the Nose.
These are all good, this is my favorite. Well told, well endured.
Things definitely happen in waves, but this story is a TIDAL wave of difficulties. Awesome account.
Absolutely brutal. Can't imagine the memories. good and bad.

By turns comical, gripping and tragic. A beautiful eulogy disguised as an epic story.
Two courageous men.
Woah, can't believe I found this channel now! Such a golden gem :P
