Nice video, I am married to a Brazilian and have been visiting Brazil for 30 years, you are right, Brazilians eat way too much red meat, especially Rio Grand du Sul like Porto Alerge, churrasco is a cultural religion almost!. My wife has been a vegan for 20 years, and when we visited recently, she found it very difficult. Once you move further north like Recife, Salvador or Fortaleza it's more fish and chicken, meat is not eaten often because of the hot humid conditions. And in regards to the language, 30 years ago virtually no one spoke English which made it extremely difficult for me, it's better now, especially in places like Rio, however, you need to learn Portuguese from day one, it's not like Portugal, Spain or Europe where most citizens let's say over 15 years old speak very good English and are pretty much fluent, in this case if you are from the US, Australia, Canada or New Zealand, it's easy for us. Hi, can I ask what do they think about whites/americans in rio/sao Paolo and Brazil in general? how are they typically received? I visited colombia a lot in the past and just spent 6 months there to see if I could live there full time, and I just cant. I feel too excluded from the local culture despite wanting to belong and meeting a ton of nice people there. That is the sole reason I couldn't live there. Cool place to visit, probably not to live. Thanks for the video! If you make dollars and spend in reais (Brazilian currency), life can become very cheap in Brazil; otherwise, large cities (Rio de Janeiro, Sao Paulo, etc) can be expensive. Food (supermarket) and transportation are mostly affordable and of great quality (organic). Property prices and taxes are high. Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paulo, for example, have some of the most expensive real state in the world. You pay for what you get. The security situation is like in any other large cities. Once you learn how to behave and where/when to go (and not go) you'll be OK. Life quality can be incredible in Brazil. People are usually welcoming everywhere. Knowing some Portuguese will make life much easier. Spanish helps a bit because of the similarities. English would be more viable in the large cities but most of the population will not speak it. Everyone will try to help and accommodate you as much as possible. If you are moving in with kids, remember Public Schools are not good. Be prepared to get them into a nice private school. That will make a world of difference for them in terms of opportunities and relationships.
I think as a general rule, we as Brazilians (as anywhere I guess) can see from a pretty far away distance who is not from here, regardless of their race. People walk differently, dress differently, so regardless of the race it is pretty easy to spot foreigners especially in Copacabana. I guess it is the same everywhere.

@dizzymakavelli5239 my vocabulary is limited to literally a 5 year old since that is when I left, so I believe you, but that doesn't sit right with me because my parents are big cooks and owned restaurants. @@StalkedByLosers Frango means a young Rooster. Galinha means Chicken, the female of the specie. But people use Frango in general because you can’t tell the sex of the animal on the plate. @dizzymakavelli5239 thanks. Yes I know Frito means fried but thanks anyway. I'll ask my family about the terminology. Maybe we just say Frango as short for Frango Frito. Like I said, in context, it meant Fried Chicken in my experience but like I said my experience was cut short.
@dizzymakavelli5239 where are you from? because we use Galo to refer to roosters in Brazil, not Frango. What you said about being given a live Chicken if you ask for Frango is just wrong. You make a good point about driving but bus and train sounds like an easy way to catch something. I don’t feel safe about it these days! Are there places where they speak English?
Its kinda is and kinda not dude... i'm from Rio and i can tell you by experience that depends on where the bus are passing, there are certain dangerous areas/spots where bus get robbed but its not common everywhere... for trains, kinda the same but its far more safe than bus, metro is even more safe than the other two and goes by the major part of the city, have signs in english and speakers tells stations and tips in portuguese and english, and all the transport is conected to be easier to get to places too. If you want to explore the city out of the tourist area, you need to be aware of you suroundings and know where you're going, if you're just exploring the tourist area that are the south zone of the city, you're pretty much safe, just watch for pickpockets and pretty much nothing else. A tip i give is, if you wanna go somewhere outside the tourist area, first you look if you can make it there by metro, or at least the closest you can get by it, them for other methods like bus or taxi/uber, metro is pretty safe and drops you in the general area of almost everywhere, google gives you all the routes on maps, on every transport. And for english speaking, most of us don't speak, but it doesn't mean we won't help someone who does and we are very welcoming to foreigns, also everyone has a phone nowdays, translate works miracles, just obviously, don't ask for anything from a sketchy looking person, but i thin that goes anywhere around the world

Good information video. 1st time I watched your video. If you stay more than 90 days do you have to file for extension for tourist visa? Is it true? Rick
That’s because working legally as a foreigner is complicated and difficult, regarding paperwork and getting a different variety of visa-stamp. If foreigners DO have a job inside of Brazil, it’s highly likely that they have an informal arrangement that started out by knowing somebody. Because you don’t want to cause any problems for your employer, that person will likely not talk about their employment situation very deeply.
No, you don’t have problem here in Rio with electric nor with internet anywhere, even the fvelas has good wifi there but don’t go there because we don’t need more grongos there, there is not a circus.
How’s the weed out there bro? I’m looking to move after I complete my masters program start a family out there with a thick Brazilian mami help me out. Gang
The average Brazillian doesn't care much about skin color, mixed race couples are very common around here. Though they usually care quite a bit about being fit. But overall, most Brazillians are very open-minded if you are a friendly foreigner that shows genuine interest in their culture.
What about going to the doctor if you don't speak Portuguese as an expatriate? All the videos I see of Americans never talk about going to the doctor as an expatriate. I guess your answer will be learn the language. Just wanted to verify?
I have traveled throughout Brazil and lived in a few cities. Rio is dangerous, dirty and not the place to be if you want to work. I wouldn't even visit there. Brazil is a huge country, far better place to be.
Black ppl in Brazil are just like African Americans… Just a different mixture of European dna. Our dna consist of mostly Irish, French, Scottish etc and theirs is mostly Spaniard. It’s so interesting when you think about it lol
You must be confusing us with other latin country. We were not colonized by Spain, we were colonized by Portugal. Around 80% of the brazillian population have a mixed race genelogical tree, mostly consisting of the main 3 mixes (Portuguese, Native and Angolan) and also German and Italian after World War I and II. Most Brazillians have 3 to 5 nationalities mix, I have never met anyone in my life that has less than that unless they were Japanese (Japaneses were not allowed to marry Brazillians during World War II, so they took longer to mix than other nationalities). We also have a lot of French and Lebanese mixes. Because we are so mixed, Brazillians do not have a specific look.
Brazil seems hella but one thing that might stop me is that there’s a lot of trans ppl there I have nothing against it but it’s half the population it’s crazy
Rio is a good fit for me. In Rio working out and being active is important to them, they’re social, they are about their freedom and the women look delicious.

Are you living in the United States? Rio sounds like living here, but better.😂
Bro you are wrong about “traffic pattern”‼️ It is the same as in US. They drive on right side like us and their controls on the left just like here in US. I have been to Brazil 6 times and it is like a second home to me. First time in Brazil I used just Uber then my other 5 visits were car rental from Localiza rentals.
We are all black people, black men, black women, and black children, stop using N-words to describe one another and stop using racial slurs when one hurts, we all hurt
Buffalo shooting suspect wrote a racial slur on his gun
Wake up Black people you can't fight racism with racial slurs stop using N-word or promoting it, this is a wake-up call On May 14, 2022,
nah yall stop saying people should pay more keep the prices cheap rio has always been a blessing for cheap prices... and want it to stay that way for a long time... places like Canada and the United states are inflated and need to be brought down.
Excellent information brother. I like red meat 🥩, fish 🐟, chicken breast.
So really good info here.
What type of rental agreement did you. obtain? i might fire on down there.
Exactly, Brazil has the largest black population in the world, second to the African continent.
They don’t. America 🇺🇸 does then Brazil
@BladimirButin Don't.
Bother yourself with the wrong facts. I live in both countries and originally from Brazil.
@@marcelodesa3474 How is wrong facts. I watch videos of many Brazilian cities like Rio and Salvador Bahia and even those cities that are supposed to be the blackest cities in Brazil they still don’t have that many black people like America. I see more light skin mixed pardos and white people than black people in Brazil. Sorry but America 🇺🇸 clearly has the most black people that look actually black like in Africa.
@@BladimirButinSir it’s a commonly known fact that Brazil has the largest percentage of black people outside of Africa. The same internet connection you’re using to make to incorrect and frankly asinine comments could be used to do a simple google search. It’s also a commonly known fact that more slaves were brought to Brazil than the US. Please utilise your internet connection and educate yourself 🤦🏾♂️
@@DW-py4up You educate yourself unlike you I don’t make comments on things I don’t have knowledge about, the black population of Brazil is only 10 % only 20 million which is way less than americas 48million which again with your own advice can check with your internet connection. Why you think Brazils black population have no influence or control in politics or anything that matter? Why you think you can barely see any black Brazilians in universities and other institutions whereas in America blacks are represented everywhere in anything you can think of. Again use google and google yourself Brazil black population then come back and tell me what it said. You will feel like a fool

How about dating a guy from Pernambuco? I am in love with a Brazilian guy.
They are good very caring and deep in love. I'm Brazilian but I like colder people that's why I don't date Brazilians
Do it
From Pernambuco.?? He's probably gay..?
Will be leaving in 12 days for Rio...any places I must see?
Good information video. 1st time I watched your video. If you stay more than 90 days do you have to file for extension for tourist visa? Is it true? Rick
Yes, request the extension before the 90th day. Or you can exit the country and return and be given another 90 days.
Yo bro how is the safety compared to Medellin?
BARS!🔥💯
What do you do for income/work? I’ve always wanted to travel and work remote
Dope information bro
It is not legalized
No one is taling about working qhile living there. Is it all remote jobs and if so what jobs are good remotely?
That’s because working legally as a foreigner is complicated and difficult, regarding paperwork and getting a different variety of visa-stamp. If foreigners DO have a job inside of Brazil, it’s highly likely that they have an informal arrangement that started out by knowing somebody. Because you don’t want to cause any problems for your employer, that person will likely not talk about their employment situation very deeply.
We got to do Brazil in Afrika...😁
Lol that too
Is this another one of those 'passport bro' channels?
is there Indian shops or restaurants bro?
I thought of relocating but vacation every now and then
What kind of camera are you using?
This is go pro
Great Job
Thank you bro 😎
No, you don’t have problem here in Rio with electric nor with internet anywhere, even the fvelas has good wifi there but don’t go there because we don’t need more grongos there, there is not a circus.
Goodyear luck. And I uhish sucess to you.

Have you heard of a thing called Google...??
Man help me out I am looking to relocate there I am in panama now

Id Brazil your favorite country?
🔥 I always wanted to go there. How are the women there? As far as dating black Americans?
Very welcoming and open minded. 😊
Stay in the US, that's where you belong
@@Kristiluuv1 are you Brazilian
@@Kristiluuv1are you Carioca?
The average Brazillian doesn't care much about skin color, mixed race couples are very common around here. Though they usually care quite a bit about being fit. But overall, most Brazillians are very open-minded if you are a friendly foreigner that shows genuine interest in their culture.
What about going to the doctor if you don't speak Portuguese as an expatriate? All the videos I see of Americans never talk about going to the doctor as an expatriate. I guess your answer will be learn the language. Just wanted to verify?
Just go with google translate on the cellphone and it'll be okay
@@jvv003-p9q Thanks for the information.
that's crazy you won't have those problem with your chicken in Bahia
Why not ? Did he choke it...?
Nice video
Was you in a miko worldwide video in Dominica republic ?
I have traveled throughout Brazil and lived in a few cities. Rio is dangerous, dirty and not the place to be if you want to work. I wouldn't even visit there. Brazil is a huge country, far better place to be.
❤
Meat is good! Being Vegan will get you nowhere! Beef is so good for you !
Can you go to Brasil if you have a criminal record? Do they give Visa?
WTF 😂
C’mon Griselda Blanco... 😂
Stay where you are.
Yeah, you're good as long as you're not a fugitive.
Brazilian here, everybody in Brazilian congress is a criminal. You should be fine😁😁
Do more videos bro
Yessir thanks for watching !
Brazil seems hella but one thing that might stop me is that there’s a lot of trans ppl there I have nothing against it but it’s half the population it’s crazy
You still there now bro
Rio is a good fit for me. In Rio working out and being active is important to them, they’re social, they are about their freedom and the women look delicious.
