For people who sit a long time at work, the hip flexors and rotators become tight, and the gluteal muscles become weak. This combination negatively affects our ability to walk, maintain proper posture, and the stability of our spine which adversely affects our dance practice.
The tighter our hips, the tighter the lower back; with tension amassing in these regions, the psoas is prone to shortening, making it harder to walk, sit, stand, and practice dance. Here is a yoga asana sequence to open hips.

My turn outs are the worst. I remember my dance teacher hitting me on my knees. Your exercises are helping me at 35 years now

You are welcome! No 2 bodies are the same. It depends on various factors. All one can do is - take note of the pain points and work on them consistently.
Ma’am please tell me if I do bharatnatyam on Marble floor, will I get some leg problem??
Marble floor is not ideal for dance practice. Could be bad for knees, heels, lower back and so on..I understand not all of us have the luxury of access to vinyl or wooden flooring. Pls read on the net and look for an alternative if you are finding it difficult to practice at home.

Every body is different. It is not necessary that if x did it in a month, y will also do in a month. You can try by practising patiently and consistently.
