Good preview, looking forward to the game down there. I would say that we're top of the league for a reason, and not because of lucky bounces or bad refs - RLB has the team well-drilled and players understand what the manager wants. Our midfield three tends to be the same, but their roles do vary game-to-game, and that's why teams are finding it a challenge.
Thank you, and we appreciate you taking the time to comment. Yes I've not seen you perform poorly this season and you always have an attacking threat. You seem to have a lovely balance to your side - something QPR have been lacking and it costs us. But if we play like we did last week we should at least make it competitive for you.
Glad to see you are optimistic guys but Sunderland are in a vein of form we have never seen before & we are a different animal to Burnley & it will take a very good team to wear us down so good luck !!!
We can never underestimate any team in the championship guys !!! !Potential banana skins are always there & QPR could be one so we will be prepared Reggie will make sure of that !!!!! 😊
We've had a few comments saying we are optimistic this week despite us just about going for a draw haha. For QPR to have a chance we need to start well and take the few chances we do get - problem is as Dave said in the show we just don't score enough so we need more than a few chances!
Enjoyed the show lads and as a Sunderland fan my only question would be what happens if you go a goal down? A draw would be a fantastic result for QPR 👍
Thanks a lot - yes a draw would be a great result for us. If we concede first you'll see a change in the atmosphere and it will be hard for us to come back. We need something to hold onto if possible. Having said that our only win so far this season came after being 1-0 down at Luton! And we came back from 2-0 down against Sheff Utd to draw and got our first clean sheet at Burnley... we are a strange old team!
You are probably right, but we did show a lot of fight last week and if we apply ourselves the same way we should at least give you a game, although I do expect you to still be too strong for us if you perform.
Love your optimism lads...I'd be very happy with a draw. I hope we don't be too much on Celar's back at the game...he will be our striker so we have to get behind him. On Marti he is the only realistic show in town at the moment. Although I do agree with Kevin Gallen's views on recruitment of players. Come January we need to go for proven Championship players.
I love how predicting a draw has become optimistic in the QPR world 😆 I hope the fans get behind Celar too, it could give him a boost, which he clearly needs. Can't see it though, I think most have written him off now rightly or wrongly.
Good show as always guys. I agree with all your comments on Marti. Noticed neither of you were wearing your team gear this week.😊 James would you have any stats on QPR's success versus the size of the pitch. I'm just looking for something to point at as a reason that some games we look good while in other games we look awful. Our successes look so random regardless of where the team we play is placed on the table.
Thanks George. Yes I'm on holiday so had a makeshift set up and Dave was rushing home from a day at the zoo... QPR shirts will be back next week 🙂 It's hard to get accurate data on pitch sizes and this season we only have 1 win so again not much to go off. I personally feel we do better on a bigger pitch when we can get players like Chair into space, but our only win was at Luton which was tiny, so make of that what you will. I doubt there is any correlation to be honest, other than this season we struggle everywhere!
another great show guys. it's hard to see us get anything from this one, i'm at the game on Saturday and am hoping for a positive result!! Unfortunately i feel it's going to be a hard watch! win, lose or draw forever Rrrrrssss
Thanks Jamie, yes another tough one but we showed last week we are up for the fight. We probably need Sunderland to have an off day but you never know. Enjoy the game! You R's!
Hi lads, Last weeks draw against Burnley is the turning point of the season! I had us down for a win but we take the point and clean sheet! Jury still well and truly out for Stella!! I would play Alfie up front as he does put himself about, Nobody will back us to win this one! Sunderland the banker of the day, NAH not having that! So going for our first home win! Rrss 2 v 1 Black cats, URrrssss,
The draw with Burnley was a hard fought defensive display, not likely we will take the same approach at home. Means we will be vulnerable to Sunderlands many attacking options so we will need to be at our best to get a draw from this one and I am struggling to see that. Perhaps if Celar can just get that lucky goal it may change things for him and perhaps the team, but he has been seriously disappointing so far. Whatever happens I will shout, encourage and cheer the team on through every minute of the game. Come on U Rrr's.
Yes it's unlikely we play like that again at home. Hopefully we have a few more options back on the bench like Dembele. If we can get the first goal and get the crowd right behind the team who knows what we can achieve.
I think I (James) have got that right in recent weeks as I sent a your last message out to everybody. 🤣Apologies if any of us are still getting it wrong!
@@hoopsanddreamsQPR LOL no worries just me being a grumpy old (japanese speaking) pedant!!! great preview and here's hoping Celar realizes he actually has to do something other than wait for a pass in the penalty area... LOL
Great review guys, the Burnley result just complicates my thoughts on this squad, how can anyone think we are going to get anything on Saturday ,0-3/4.Want us to win as always but can't see it this week or Tuesday.
@@Batteredhoop We thought it would be that score last week, you just never know! I know it's a long shot but if we can get 4 points this week we will be very happy.
Being a Sunderland fan means permanent pessimism. But, without my Sunderland glasses on, I'd say QPR are going to face a SAFC side in form, with 2/3 different choices for attack and Neill, whose pivotal role has been inconsistently performed, clicking with the team. Never sure with Sunderland, but this might be the worst time to face them.
It certainly feels the worst time to face Sunderland... consistently scoring, barely conceding, options all over the pitch, full of confidence... the hope for QPR is that you surely have to slip up or not be quite as 'on it' as some point. Football has a funny way of throwing up results that few people are expecting and QPR need one of those on Saturday!
You aren't the first to say that, and whilst I acknowledge it's heading that way I still (just) hold out hope that if he scores that first goal he'll go on a run. If he doesn't score soon though I wonder if the club will look to offload him back to Switzerland in January.
Being 23rd and having 1 win in 3 months will do that to us 😅 Hopefully things get better from here, but I suspect it's going to be a long winter for us all!
It's funny we usually say that about QPR. Charity Park Rangers we often refer to ourselves as! But if you'd like to oblige this time on Saturday we'd be very grateful!
If QPR can show the same grit and fight we displayed at Burnley we will at least make you work for it, which would be more than you had to do on your last 2 visits!
Good preview, looking forward to the game down there.

Hoping for a great Sunderland win. Like QPR - all the best for rest of season - after Saturday!
2hd fav team due to watching Stan Bowles (RIP) as a safc fan never take anything for granted good luck this season apart from Saturday
Thanks for the message, along with Ipswich last season Sunderland fans always post nice messages, I hope you go up!

Thank you, we need a lot of fingers crossed! In an ideal world we win 1 of these 2 home games 🤞🤞

I hope not lol

I don't imagine Beale will be welcome in either Wearside or West London for a long time to come!
if marty was to go a certain mr beal is avalable [ha ha]
I keep wondering where he will resurface next 🤔
