I’ve been locksmithing since 95 I quit doing the automotive keys early 2000 but with all the great vids I’m taking the plunge. About to make an order for the triton key machine and the auto pro pad thanks to all the great vids from clk. #LOCKBOSS THANKS PJ!!
6:28, 6:50 and 7:45 man within almost one minute you just showed me the issues that I believe i've been intermitently running into. Straight #Lockboss thanks man. Also, I absolutely love the Triton.
Went to a trade show recently, the Miracle S10 caught my eye took a full demo with a locksmith that uses it every day sweet machine I think its above and beyond the Triton. #lockboss
GREAT VIDEO to demonstrate one of the ways the Triton works. Gives me a better idea to work from as to whether I like this Machine. I DO. This #Lockboss will do further research as to if I can incorporate this into my Key Cutting Arsenal. Thank You PJ
I’ve had Triton for 8-9 months now and love it. Had no issue learning the system at all. Don’t know why you would need internet access .. as the only time I need it is too D/L updates when they add new keys in the system. That happens every 6 weeks or so. The uodate is smooth and fast. Sounds like you need to call teck support and find out why your getting the warning screens you experiencing. #lockboss
Nice thorough video! I bought my Triton Plus Ultimate from CLK Supplies. I like that you go through common mistakes so people don't have to find out the hard way! Thanks PJ! #Lockboss
Man this machine amazes me more and more every time I read or see more about it. That’s probably going to be top of my list when I break down and get a new machine to replace mine. #LockBoss
That was the coolest. I want one. The options of the different keys as you stated in case you don't have or lose the bit you need you can still get the job done. And the ability to be able to cut house keys and car keys on the same machine is beneficial and profitable for your business. Thank you for the demonstration PJ. Always grateful for you insight on the old and new products. #lockboss
Cool features pj. 👍Just curious how many watts does this thing pulls when running.⚡⚡ Standard inverter handle this in a mobile setup, compared to a manual 1200? #Lockboss
Triton+ looks like a nice machine. I have seen other "sidewinders" cut edge style keys and worry about snapping the cutters. I like how the new machines can decode as well. #Lockboss
Hey PJ, thanks for this video. In the beginning of the video you mention preferring a standard wheel type cutter over this for edge cut keys. Could you maybe elaborate on that a bit. Thanks in advance. Regards Rob
I've had no issues with the Triton's menu thus far. It's a pretty good machine and is relatively easy to use (admittedly, my uses for it haven't been all that complicated). Definitely a #Lockboss caliber machine!
Them' there Display screens and the Software looks pretty darn good. So far the Triton Plus looks like a it can definitely help make you an efficient and expert #lockboss
Thanks for the info about making sure your jaws are correct. The triton seems like a pretty cool machine, I would like to see a head to head with it vs some other high security machines. #lockboss
Hey PJ, have you filmed using the automotive progression on the Triton? Be nice to see with Ford 8-cut or GM 10-cut where usually using a fill program. Thanks #lockboss
Thanks PJ and crew, for always taking the time out of your day to help us become a better #lockboss One thing I recently learned about was what's called "contour cutting" for single edge keys. Do you know if there's any reason to choose that instead of laser/ standard cutting for the bitting? Other than maybe added security?
@@clksupplies I figured the "contour" method would cause less wear and tear, since it's a totally gradual adjustment compared to even "laser cut" keys, since on single edge keys at least, laser typically still has the sharp incline between pin locations. Once I have the time and money, I'll work on a jig for testing that, and run all 3 setups next to each other (standard cut, laser cut, and contour cut, same keyway/pins/etc). I love playing with stuff and figuring out how efficient designs can be.
@@clksupplies I'd mention the key machine I'm talking about that does the contour cut style, but I don't want to risk taking business away from you guys, since it's a different vendor that sells it.
It's interesting that it will let you decode with the wrong jaw setting. I'm curious what happens if you cut it on that setting after decoding it. I bet it turns out okay. When you flipped up the key stop did it use the tip or the shoulder? I couldn't tell. I'm looking forward to seeing more. #Lockboss
I feel like you really like this machine. How do you think it compares to other machines on the market? Always interested in the opinion of a #lockboss 👍
Excellent video the machine appears to be a very nice time saver and very accurate and practically idiot proof if you just pay a little attention to what you are doing. Wish I could afford one of them for myself. #. Lock Boss
You mentioned the debris creating an electrical connection too soon and causing the calibration to be off. Another thing to get in the habit of is cleaning keys with a wire brush or something before you decode so the probe makes the connection when it contacts the key. If it doesn’t sense the electrical connection when it touches it will continue to move until it breaks the probe and runs out of travel. Speaking from experience here…#LockBoss
I just purchased the Triton. No beginning user manual, no downloadable video course to teach you how to use it, nothing. Terrible training/introduction to the machine. The other bad thing about the Triton is you have to have internet, which is majorly buggy. Trying to make a key in a town in the middle of Arkansas with no internet access? You're out of luck. It's also glitchy. A warning keeps coming up on mine saying "You're not authorized to make keys in this location" and it freezes the machine up. Tried calling support (2 voicemails and an email) and got no reply until the end of the business day. Meanwhile, my machine was locked all day and couldn't make keys. Buyers beware - look for a company that has an actual manned support line. Ask dealers what the beginning tutorial videos are like, whether or not they have a course that teaches you how to use the machine, what their customer service response times are, whether or not you need internet connectivity, and whether or not the machine comes with a user manual. These might sound like small things, but they're huge when learning to use the machine and actually getting out and using it.
Not sure I like the part about touching anything on the inside of the machine voids the warranty. Maybe I understood wrong what I heard on the tuesday podacst. #lockboss
I just got mine today it is still in the box this video helped me already. Thanks for sharing
Keep the Triton Videos coming I keep learning new things about my machine that I did not know. Thanks PJ
#LockBoss

Just be aware you have to have an internet hotspot wherever you go. Not much training or tutorials available for the Triton either.
Thanks Kevin
Awesome! You will love them both-PJ
I like the speed of the triton key machine from lock labs. And ur right our jobs r not always routine. Thanks pj. James estep #lockboss#lockboss

It's so cool watching that machine make those cuts. Makes me want one even more. #lockboss

That Triton Plus is pretty slick, can't wait to add one to my arsenal! Thanks for the demo, PJ! #lockboss
Loving the Triton
Awesome video and thanks for giving back to the community #lockboss

Great video for what looks like a fantastic machine. #lockboss
Excellent demo you made here, feels as real as watching an assembly line documentary with the machine in action 🍻🤗👍
Man this machine amazes me more and more every time I read or see more about it. That’s probably going to be top of my list when I break down and get a new machine to replace mine. #LockBoss
Nice, what are you currently using?-PJ
WoW Amazing . Embrace The Technology #lockboss
I love my Triton Plus Ultimate Edition. Keep the videos coming. Eastern Oklahoma #LockBoss
Oh man I wish I had that machine. That’s got to be an awesome #LOCKBOSS game changer!
Keeps getting better#lockboss
Nice video, I'm sure there is more to learn about this machine!!! Thank you PJ #Lockboss
Excellent demo. Great information yet again. Looks like I may have a new key machine in my future. #LockBoss
Great video my friend..and many key features we should know as a lock boss #lockboss 😎

Great machine # lockboss
Great machine, hoping to get one. #Lockboss
Nice. I wish I could afford such a machine. #Lockboss
This simplifies things! #lockboss
Great info I'm not there yet. But that is a great machine #lockboss
What an amazing machine. Definitely on my wish list
#Lockboss
Love the fact that you can adjust the speed for, say, steel key blanks. Great video, PJ! #AccessLockKeyLLC #HaulinBrass #LockBoss

Hey PJ, thanks for this video. In the beginning of the video you mention preferring a standard wheel type cutter over this for edge cut keys. Could you maybe elaborate on that a bit. Thanks in advance. Regards Rob

Just be aware the software has to be connected to the internet. Terrible if you do jobs in small towns or in the country.
Thanks for the info #Locboss
Separate question about the triton finding bitting for missing cuts - how many ? Can you use to find the cuts? the dolphin is max of 3 unknown
Sweet machine. #Lockboss
Thanks for the info about making sure your jaws are correct. The triton seems like a pretty cool machine, I would like to see a head to head with it vs some other high security machines. #lockboss
I will see what I can do!-PJ
Hey PJ, have you filmed using the automotive progression on the Triton? Be nice to see with Ford 8-cut or GM 10-cut where usually using a fill program. Thanks #lockboss
Have not but now I will!-PJ
It looks good and it will work in a new electric van. #lockboss
Very cool machine, I feel like this type of machine will become more mainstream in #LOCKBOSS shops in the near future. Wish I could afford this beaut!
Agreed-PJ
Wishlist machine! #lockboss
I know it’s an old video but this #lockboss NEEDS a triton
Thanks PJ and crew, for always taking the time out of your day to help us become a better #lockboss
One thing I recently learned about was what's called "contour cutting" for single edge keys. Do you know if there's any reason to choose that instead of laser/ standard cutting for the bitting? Other than maybe added security?
In short....the thought is "laser" cust makes less wear on the wafers so that is why some choose it-PJ

Triton Plus seems like a good budget electronic machine for keys that can be cut by an endmill. #LockBoss
Not bad. Seems simple enough. Cutting speed looks pretty fast. Will you be doing a video with auto options?
#LockBoss
Coming soon!-PJ
Can you adjust the x y and z axis individually for fine tuning?
Hmm, I don’t think so -PJ
We have a lot of very old keys here and what if they aren’t in the listing of manufacture’s blanks #lockboss
I was kind of expecting it to say NO GO when you decoded with the wrong jaw. #Lockboss
It's interesting that it will let you decode with the wrong jaw setting. I'm curious what happens if you cut it on that setting after decoding it. I bet it turns out okay.

The programmers definitely need to fix that in the next software update. #lockboss
Shoulder-PJ
Can you help me about error 0j002 decoder or cutter jaw
Getting to high tech for me PJ. Haha! #Lockboss
I feel like you really like this machine. How do you think it compares to other machines on the market? Always interested in the opinion of a #lockboss 👍
Rn it's by far the best value in my opinion between having support and range of use-PJ
Rn ???@@clksupplies
Relativity similar to xhorse condor mini and new dolphin features. What's the price of that? #lockboss
Low 4k, fully loaded low 5k-PJ

Yeah, I'm not sure that is accurate-PJ
To bad that the machine cant tell if your using the wrong jaw. The machine I use will not let the user make that mistake. #Lockboss
What machine are you using?-PJ
Lockbox
Dolphin XP-005L is better in my opinion.
Awesome machine #lockboss
