Great job. Way better than the foam project, but as i said before, hats off to you for running with and idea and sticking with it it even if the first or second time didnt pan out. I would put that on my R32.
Joshua Hawkins thank you! Ya it was a struggle to get it to work but I’m very happy how it turned out! Can’t wait to get the car repainted so I can see the final product
Looks good, I was thinking about making my own because I can’t find one to fit the stock exhaust on the mk5 gti, only ones available are ones for the r32 mk5. Mk5 r32 is two centre exhaust whereas the Gti has two to the left.
I just took my rear bumper off to fix one of the tabs and add a backup cam. That damned driver side nut taillight nut...you know the one. I think its gone for good inside the body!
First of all can I just say, we all need friends like Justin. "Hey Andrew, I broke my ankle and it's now in a cast. Don't worry though, ill be round in the morning to work on your rear diffuser" 💪 As for the diffuser, the fit looks really good but personally If its mainly for styling and not functional I would have preferred the fins to be slightly more contoured instead of a vertical drop. Great work though, loving the commitment. Are you planning to finish off the edges of the diffuser??
Yep I’m planning on finning them off just need to get some time away from work to work on it. I’m planning on making a second edition of the diffuser that will be more active and actual work I Just want to get the style done first and then I can figure out the aerodynamic part of it.
11:25 it sounds like the music is saying Malala’s doomsday lol I can’t like stop hearing it, anyways cool video! Really helpful, I was like wanting the foam to work.. that’s what I thought when I searched like diy diffuser and your snippet at the beginning was helpful.. so I think I’ll try to get a premade one since this is about the same price. Sorry bad writing for some reason lol
I assume that this ''diffuser' is just for looks? With the acute angle and without a laminar flow from the front to the back all you have achieved is to add weight. Fanboys will probably love it though :-)
@@ThreePedalGarage Fair enough. Maybe you should have mentioned this at the start as it would have saved me, and possibly others, from wasting our time :-) However, as a tutorial on how to build a cosmetic diffuser it was well presented.
Hey bro! Do u think if its possible add diffusor r32 and double exhaust on golf 4 115 tdi? If golf 4 115 tdi stage 2 it's probably overed 190 horsepower?? maybe i would go buy a golf 4 with esthetic r32 but not have diffusor r32 so I can add it?
@@charlyPOli they have something you can use but it’s not resistant to heat. That’s why I bought what you see in the video. With it being close to the exhaust I wanted the diffuser to hold it shape
zorg 43x it’s not an active diffuser. This is my first attempt. Part 2 of the build will be more active and be useful. Currently this is meant for show.
zorg 43x no worries man. Ya I want it to be functional. Part two will extend under the car more covering the undercharge of the car. I’ll need to make that out of sheet metal
I hope you all enjoyed this DIY for the R32. This project can be used for almost any car and is pretty simple to do if you want to give it a shot

I really like it. I want one for my MR 2 Spyder widebody project
Love it dude . It looks really good . Not too aggressive but just enough. Can’t wait to see it painted .👍
weyland1000 haha yep same here! It’s going to look really good pointed
Love the diffuser video man! it turned out so well! really clean and simple for the R32.
Much cleaner than the foam! Sometimes going back to the drawing board yields the best results.
PAStreetScene yep for sure I’m going to make another on out of sheet metal and make it more active
Keep up the good work mane ! Love the content
Valley BuiltVr6 thank you man! 🙌🏻🙌🏻
looks great!
Thank you!

Ya it’s pretty easy to make I would definitely recommend doing
Came out really good man. I was curious to know if that plastic can be shaped and it seems you have answered that. Thanks
Keagz TK haha yep it can. It’s a pain to do but it works
Dude it looks very DIY
Ya it does. I have a few ideas how to make it look better but just haven’t gotten back around to it
Looks great 👍
Thanks man! I appreciate it! Love your channel BTW

Blaylock1988 haha on I know exactly what your talking about! I’m down to only 2 nuts per taillight 😂😂😂

Glad you enjoyed the video! Ya if you can get a pre made one I would totally do that.

Ya it not for function at all lol. Just wanted to try something out and see how it would look

@@ThreePedalGarage Thank u so much bro! yeah i think i really want to make this because it's so satisfying!
@@justokeerz3425 yes it is! Totally go for it!
Did it melt yet from exhaust so close?
Bondo glass for the holes, and then finish with bondo and glazing and spot putty
That Dude With The R32 ya that’s what I kind of figured I’d have to do.
Hey can u told me the material name is that and where i can get
It’s in the description
Ok thanks but know if the lowes or home depot have

Ok thanks have blessings day
I decided to get ABS plastic and I cant get it to even out
Need to paint the bumper
I built it and drove around with it for like 4 months. It worked fine and never melted. I took it off to make a carbon fiber version
How thick the hdpe sheet??
I think it was 1/4” you really don’t want to go any thicker
Hdpe - high density poly ethylene
Yep that is correct lil
@@ThreePedalGarage I'm thinking of trying this for my mk2 TT
@@ldunmdx you should it’s not hard to do and it’s pretty playable
This would been more helpful if u told us what the material was
HDPE is the material used. look I’m the description I labeled all the material used.
Probable ABS en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Acrylonitrile_butadiene_styrene
😂😂😂😂😂 is this real or a wind up😂😂😂😂😂😂
WTAF ?
Lol don’t like?
Sorry, this is not even a wannabe-diffuser. Do you even know how the thing really works?
