Tips on turning in Town Quests: 1. Some require hunting down animals/materials not native to that zone. There's no penalty for dropping a quest, it's better to abandon it out and wait for one you can get to rather than waiting until you end up in that region. 2. Iron/Steel/Metal-in-general can be difficult to reliably come by, I advise against any quest requiring turning these in as it's tricky to get more for needed crafting. On the other hand, wood/stone/flint are EXTREMELY easy to gather and turn in. Specific spices can also be difficult to find (required for certain turn ins) but they're also less needed for leveling up your crafting, so weight that one out with which is more important to you. 3. You need to Salvage fish for the fish bits/oils :-)
Idk why people are hating on this game. This is actually a really fun RPG that even casual players can understand and have fun playing. Really well put together game IMO. Just hope they add mounts as long as you can’t use them during battle.

@@toebykarleighbon ESO obviously has more content by far. But the weapon scaling and roles I feel are easier to fill than ESO's. I felt ESO's weapon sets were too grindy in abilities, this one you feel more free with what weapon you want to use with whatever you wanna play.
I'm getting it but I've played almost every major MMO released in the last decade What I'm saying is it looks fun and I'm sure I'll enjoy it based on what I've read but I would be wary buying a whole MMO if you aren't into them That being said unlike some other big names in MMOs new world doesn't require any subscription just one time $40 payment
Same here! I mean I had some attempts. I tried Guild Wars 2 and Black Desert,but those 2 put me off after a while. Honestly the only non-single player game that managed to keep my attention for a longer period of time is Warframe,which I still play to this day. Not that regularily anymore,but I keep up to date with the meta and do the major stuff in the subsequent updates. It's more of a coop PvE game tho,than an MMO we all have in mind when we hear the term MMO. And I honestly kind of want to finally find this "true" MMO that'll keep me playing in the same manner that Warframe did. New World's shaping up to be a good pretender,but they need to fix the server issues first AND most imprortantly they need to fix the GPU issue,'cause I can't afford and probably also wouldn't get to buy one,even if I could afford it,another 3080
you just do the main quest line and level up that's it. It prompts you to get the new camp when you can. You don't have to actively do anything to figure out how to get the next tier. Tier one level 5 /T2 level 15/ T3 level 25/ T4 level 40/ T5 level 55.

I will say, that is a little different than other AAA MMORPGs. Life Skills are priority (Runescape), and PvP is more of a focus. Where PvE usually is for most other successful MMOs. However, as this game grows and the community defines more of what it likes, I think the PvE will evolve more and more. Love the fact it can run fairly well on my dinosaur of a computer (GTX 980, old i7 4.00)
The PvE was added super late in development. I believe last year or late 2019. Originally it was only pvp. Im sure the pve content will improve over the life of the game.
another good fast travel tip is to pay attention to fast travel costs, as sometimes it may be cheaper to fast travel multiple times to get to a destination than to do it in one go
just an fyi, the death spawn (pressing respawn and spawning somewhere else) is no longer available due to Amazon removing the respawn button. what a shame, saved so much time in the beta.
@@chipskylark5500 it just teleports you a short distance away, not a respawn technically. I think anyway, haven't used it since beta. I used it one time in beta when I fell inside a bridge and couldn't get back out. it teleported me like a couple yards away

fun act if you are light weight and roll and press x right when the roll is almost done it cancels the roll animation end so u can spam the roll to gain speed.
If you have the campfire skill you can also bind to anyone else's camp and rest there to replenish your HP. Just keep in mind this camp can disappear so for respawn its better to have your own camp.
Corrupted portals seem like a single/faction event to me when you are at that level. Purple is your friend! Hyssop/water is good for a health poition, store your water in the shed. Get as close to your carry limit when you need speed to get to base.
Yeah first thing I spend my faction points on every time is the runes of holding to make new bags especially with the last patch that increased cost of faction items. I craft alot so extra inventory and getting to level 30 for extra bag slot is really helpful. The gear in the faction vendor is not that good. I grinded crafting in this open beta and was making gear better then faction gear. after level 50 armormaking. Got engineering to 75 first day and purchased gold ingots on the market from fishers getting treasure chest and made a 360 gearscore musket first day thats level 20. I spent all of Sunday dueling and never lost a single duel. Crafting is the best way to go if you want the best gear early. You wont level quite as fast though so just depends on how you want to play really.

You might as well do pve quests since the reagents and supplies you need for crafting are in boxes around the world…boxes that 90% of pve quests ask you to loot.

no it isn't good. I played plenty of games that's been quite more grinder than this. Hells no they ain't fun and by the end of it it's still not even fun. If only main quests or certain quests gives you some sort of better rewards or something boost your grinding. Its Hella unfair a player has to be 24/7 and in the end doesn't even budge from their spot to level or what not. This game definitely inspiration comes from the games Runescape and WoW and other games. But too many games are being too damn grindy nowadays that it's not even worth it. Games like Conquerers blade however is quite more grindy for a mulitplayer pvp battle and siege game. That you have to lead troops and keep them alive to ensure they'll last long enough for leveling through combat and you urself must fight as often. The game is fun don't get me wrong it's hard asf. When your units suck. And games like this in the video would've profit more if it wasn't grindy. In runescape I been killing cows and chickens all day to gather meat and raw hide. I ensure I took every step to leveling the most annoying things to level up that way when I reach the levels of something in those categories I'll not have to worry about it. As for combat u been focusing everyday and I haven't been playing due to work. Runescape unlike other games allows the player to explore and do certain routes as they wish. It's quite grindy but it's worth it for rewarding you and. It requiring much but time and patience. But most of these other grindy games is just wasting your time :/

@@naapsuvaimne740 I'm not against the game. But the fact it seems grindier than most of other games. It's not worth it for the time and patience one has to put on the game. If the game preforms well in more updates I'll probably buy it. But the fact it's quite grindy will not change my judgment. I put so many hours into runescape (new and old) that's way too many hours. Plus getting most of my crap without using real life cash to buy stuff. That's an extra couple hours and days on the game to get the things that's limited and not based off on cash or vip/premium. Along side runscape got past all that by having 99 level limit. Unlike most games that has you go certain routes and only one way..... its Hella annoying. Half the time you'll be doing this or that just to get what you need for the next thing. While Runescape. I'm killing animals getting raw meat and hide. I'm also improving my firemaker and cooking skills which is amazing to be able to get up many things done to certain levels required along side chopping wood and making fires repeatedly that's why I like Runescape than any of the other mmorpg games. You can do so many different things easily just like that but you have to be patience and it's worth it. New World looks like a fun game. But needs work and further progression to not go for what most other companies and game industries go for. Is pay to win on mmorpg. Lest the whole game would be no point to play. Even though runescape does allow people to pay in game. But half the time these people can't even pay to level all their skills unless they bought an maxed account. Game deva should take note how why even some games are still being played today and make use of some things from them.
With the latest patch there is no difference in gear other then cosmetic for the factions. The only thing that matters when picking a faction is what you want to look like and who you want to play with. The scaling was also changed with the latest patch so you will have a harder time killing people who are higher level then you in pvp. This was needed if you played the closed beta. I could at level 30 kill max level 60s with my rapier/musket build. If you played the closed beta I would go read the patch notes alot of good changes in there. Equip loads were also changed with patch to balance out the heavy armor wearing healers giving them a 20% reduction in healing unless they are light weight. also nerfed the focus dmg based hammer and axe builds.
That debuff on healing is a joke all I have to do is dodge to gain my 20% heal which cancels without and bam just healing at a normal rate at that point lol
@@sinfulken if you hover over the tooltip in attributes you'll see the primary and secondary stats for the weapons. Musket and rapier Is a dexterity and constitution. I go full trapper for pvp. I only get traps and sticky bomb and fully invest I to both. My build is damage mitigation and kiting/cc. It's incredibly hard to fight my build. I routinely win duels against higher levels without healing as they stuff their face with food and potions.
@@thebeck1012 well it's still a 20% reduction to heavy armor healers and 10% to medium. You heal less then last closed beta without question. Tested it thoroughly with open beta.
It heals trash though and making food in the game is really easy. If you get honey which is in every town for free and meat from killing animals you can make travel rations which are really easy to make and 10x better. Cooking is a very important trade skill if you want to be competitive in pvp or pve. Same with alchemy to make potions.

There was never issues with pay to win type stuff. The game hasn’t released and they gave people tokens to test out the store so no one has actually bought cosmetics for the game.
2:00 ...makes Dynasty warriors 5 on the original XBox look next gen. Literally 2005 combat animations, moves and effects. I hope the RPG story element is stellar, cause otherwise it wont float even if the publisher was House Atreides...
This video made me seem like I won’t like this game much. I prefer the more classic style MMOs like DAOC, WOW, even ESO to an extent. Either way, I will be giving this a try and hope I’m wrong lol.
Is there any way to tell if a player of the same faction is PVP flagged or not? Enemy faction turn red, but I didn't see a difference in how layers of the same faction are displayed. This is important, because if htere is no difference than you could attack an enemy faction when you think you have freinds backing you only to find out that non of them were pvp flagged
@@xentharas5629 This actually may be the best tip in the video. I had the Life Staff and kept trying to aim the heal at my feet. It would miss sometimes, which was super frustrating (and a tad funny.) Now I know that's not the best skill, so I'm respeccing it, but Ctrl for self-cast is very good info to have.
so if you dont flag for pvp, does that mean you wont be ganked out in the open world? dont get me wrong, i like pvp but i also like to focus on my other task while out gathering or killing enemy NPC's

Me too. I would love to know how the targetting system works for casters. AOE spells are cast on ground, but do you have to aim fireballs or w/e at targets? Same for healing party members. Please explain the targetting system for magic.

Here's some advice: Your mana runs out easily in prolonged combat or between fights. Potions help (both in regen and bursts) but really you'll need to keep Ice Gauntlets equipped with Ice Block. It will generate a lot of mana for you while blocking incoming damage. It's a must (even for healers). Fire Staff is one of the best weapons for AoE damage - but until you're in a group or doing world events it won't feel very engaging. Most of the PvE basic content is solo by default, so the weapon will feel underwhelming. Ice Gauntlet gives you a summoned turret basically, and that can help with your single target damage. Armor sets provide a bonus based on your weight. The lighter your armor, the more damage you deal. You have better dodges, worse blocks, and will take more damage. The targeting I don't recall super well - I know heals can snap to targets, but your autos have to be manually aimed (just like a gun/bow). There's barely any single target spells (particularly offensive ones). Happy to answer more :-)
So I want to play like a full tank never die build. Should I go full heavy armor? Or mix between heavy and medium? I want to be able to pvp as well. Does heavy armor effect run speed? Also I want to know if there is a good way to heal during combat besides heal potions. I know wow tanks have abilities that heal. Thanks to anyone who responds
Heavy armor won't make you run any slower, but it will reduce your dodge. Whether or not that's made up for by the stronger resistances and block the heavy armor gives you is for you to decide. If you use Sword and Shield, there is a passive that gives you a small heal when you successfully block, and I'm sure other weapons have something similar. But if you want to heal for real, grab a Life Staff as your second weapon.
Yes, there are bonuses in the territory that your faction controls. E.g: discount on Azoth for fast travel. Check on the bonuses that your faction offers for more info.
This guide is awesome! I have a huge concern though, I watched the boss fight at 14:15 and it looks like the entire time you are just spamming light/heavy attacks without using a single ability. I've seen this in multiple other videos form players and I'm really hoping its not just a heavy/light game loop with an ability every once in a great while.
I have no idea what he was doing there. I have seen everyone else during combat where abilities are always on CD. If anything I believe abiloty CDs need to be reduced, combat does seem slow, 3 abilities per bar with high CD numbers can make for a very tedious combat system.
During the first Beta the Greataxe Heavy Attack was dealing double damage. Whether that's intended or not, I'm not sure, but it lead to the most efficient way of dealing damage was just spamming them. But yes, a lot of dungeon gameplay is Light and Heavy Attacks. Far more than any other MMO I have ever played.
You salvage the gear and there is a good chance to get your gem back. Get tons of silver in the start and some gems and you can craft then salvage and remake with the same gems for getting up jeweler skill.
they changed this in the open beta, you get barely any chance to recover gems from jewllery and items, I destroyed 30 necklaces to test it out and got 0 jewels back. (in the closed beta you had a high chance of jewel recovery, and usually they were returned "uncut" which meant you could use them to craft larger gems later on at the stone crafting bench).
@@lesliefulton9219 Huh did not notice this at all in the 3 days I had for open beta. They increased the drop rate of jewels from mining from closed to open so I had no problem getting plenty of gems. I was still getting gems in salvage as well still it did not seem that rare albeit much more rare then the first beta. I thought it was DEFINITLY easier to get up then in closed beta. In Closed beta I got almost all of my gems back when salvaging so obviously they could not sustain that. With the addition of more in mining nodes I think it was 100% easier in open beta then closed beta to level jewel crafting.
The bar next to your gear is marked light medium then heavy. As you put you gear on the bar will fill depending on what types of gear it is. For example if you had all light armor but then a heavy helm the bar would move past light into medium so you then get the medium bonus.
Don't buy low level home. You get a first time buyer discount so save it and use it on the best house. Normally 20k, 10k with the discount.

This one, is basically what a mmo is, but a modern take on it. Still has some problems imo, but its nice. speaking of which, Im getting back on

Health potions ARE easy to come by early game, water and the cattails found everywhere near water make potions

6:30 Its 250 gold and 1000 pvp tokens, not 1000 gold. I highly recommend you do it via that token as the trading post bags are way overpriced.

I grinded crafting in this open beta and was making gear better then faction gear. after level 50 armormaking. Got engineering to 75 first day and purchased gold ingots on the market from fishers getting treasure chest and made a 360 gearscore musket first day thats level 20. I spent all of Sunday dueling and never lost a single duel. Crafting is the best way to go if you want the best gear early. You wont level quite as fast though so just depends on how you want to play really.

I've been stung waaaay too many times by preordering or playing at release only for the MMO to die out. I'll keep an eye on this and maybe pick it up in a few months depending on updates and reviews

I did find a quest that gave me a bag as a reward. I think I eventually got it from the adventure chick that shows you how to make the camps.

Do you think its possible to play a pure crafter if wanted? (no combat besides hunting animals for resources?) Or does the game require doing PVE combat quests and such as part of its core gameplay loop? Thanks!
You could theoretically level up from just doing crafting quests. Might take you awhile but you could do it.
You might as well do pve quests since the reagents and supplies you need for crafting are in boxes around the world…boxes that 90% of pve quests ask you to loot.

I played plenty of games that's been quite more grinder than this.
Hells no they ain't fun and by the end of it it's still not even fun.
If only main quests or certain quests gives you some sort of better rewards or something boost your grinding. Its Hella unfair a player has to be 24/7 and in the end doesn't even budge from their spot to level or what not.
This game definitely inspiration comes from the games Runescape and WoW and other games. But too many games are being too damn grindy nowadays that it's not even worth it. Games like Conquerers blade however is quite more grindy for a mulitplayer pvp battle and siege game. That you have to lead troops and keep them alive to ensure they'll last long enough for leveling through combat and you urself must fight as often. The game is fun don't get me wrong it's hard asf. When your units suck.
And games like this in the video would've profit more if it wasn't grindy.
In runescape I been killing cows and chickens all day to gather meat and raw hide. I ensure I took every step to leveling the most annoying things to level up that way when I reach the levels of something in those categories I'll not have to worry about it. As for combat u been focusing everyday and I haven't been playing due to work.
Runescape unlike other games allows the player to explore and do certain routes as they wish.
It's quite grindy but it's worth it for rewarding you and. It requiring much but time and patience. But most of these other grindy games is just wasting your time :/

@@naapsuvaimne740 I'm not against the game. But the fact it seems grindier than most of other games. It's not worth it for the time and patience one has to put on the game.
If the game preforms well in more updates I'll probably buy it. But the fact it's quite grindy will not change my judgment. I put so many hours into runescape (new and old) that's way too many hours. Plus getting most of my crap without using real life cash to buy stuff. That's an extra couple hours and days on the game to get the things that's limited and not based off on cash or vip/premium.
Along side runscape got past all that by having 99 level limit. Unlike most games that has you go certain routes and only one way..... its Hella annoying.
Half the time you'll be doing this or that just to get what you need for the next thing. While Runescape.

I'm also improving my firemaker and cooking skills which is amazing to be able to get up many things done to certain levels required along side chopping wood and making fires repeatedly that's why I like Runescape than any of the other mmorpg games.
You can do so many different things easily just like that but you have to be patience and it's worth it.
New World looks like a fun game. But needs work and further progression to not go for what most other companies and game industries go for. Is pay to win on mmorpg.
Lest the whole game would be no point to play. Even though runescape does allow people to pay in game. But half the time these people can't even pay to level all their skills unless they bought an maxed account.

With the latest patch there is no difference in gear other then cosmetic for the factions. The only thing that matters when picking a faction is what you want to look like and who you want to play with. The scaling was also changed with the latest patch so you will have a harder time killing people who are higher level then you in pvp. This was needed if you played the closed beta. I could at level 30 kill max level 60s with my rapier/musket build. If you played the closed beta I would go read the patch notes alot of good changes in there. Equip loads were also changed with patch to balance out the heavy armor wearing healers giving them a 20% reduction in healing unless they are light weight. also nerfed the focus dmg based hammer and axe builds.

That debuff on healing is a joke all I have to do is dodge to gain my 20% heal which cancels without and bam just healing at a normal rate at that point lol
@@sinfulken if you hover over the tooltip in attributes you'll see the primary and secondary stats for the weapons. Musket and rapier Is a dexterity and constitution. I go full trapper for pvp. I only get traps and sticky bomb and fully invest I to both. My build is damage mitigation and kiting/cc. It's incredibly hard to fight my build. I routinely win duels against higher levels without healing as they stuff their face with food and potions.

@@thebeck1012 well it's still a 20% reduction to heavy armor healers and 10% to medium. You heal less then last closed beta without question. Tested it thoroughly with open beta.

This tips are so ultimate
Use Water that have a 10 second heal over time effect. It's free and infinite no more hp problems for life!
It heals trash though and making food in the game is really easy. If you get honey which is in every town for free and meat from killing animals you can make travel rations which are really easy to make and 10x better. Cooking is a very important trade skill if you want to be competitive in pvp or pve. Same with alchemy to make potions.

Enemy faction turn red, but I didn't see a difference in how layers of the same faction are displayed.
This is important, because if htere is no difference than you could attack an enemy faction when you think you have freinds backing you only to find out that non of them were pvp flagged
if a armor is broken do its effects and buffs still work or are they lost until the item is repaired?

If you cast a healing spell and press CTRL, you directly cast it on yourself.
@@xentharas5629 This actually may be the best tip in the video. I had the Life Staff and kept trying to aim the heal at my feet. It would miss sometimes, which was super frustrating (and a tad funny.) Now I know that's not the best skill, so I'm respeccing it, but Ctrl for self-cast is very good info to have.
so if you dont flag for pvp, does that mean you wont be ganked out in the open world? dont get me wrong, i like pvp but i also like to focus on my other task while out gathering or killing enemy NPC's
Correct. You can't be attacked in PvP unless you flag for it.

Me too. I would love to know how the targetting system works for casters. AOE spells are cast on ground, but do you have to aim fireballs or w/e at targets? Same for healing party members. Please explain the targetting system for magic.

Here's some advice:
Your mana runs out easily in prolonged combat or between fights. Potions help (both in regen and bursts) but really you'll need to keep Ice Gauntlets equipped with Ice Block. It will generate a lot of mana for you while blocking incoming damage. It's a must (even for healers).
Fire Staff is one of the best weapons for AoE damage - but until you're in a group or doing world events it won't feel very engaging. Most of the PvE basic content is solo by default, so the weapon will feel underwhelming. Ice Gauntlet gives you a summoned turret basically, and that can help with your single target damage.
Armor sets provide a bonus based on your weight. The lighter your armor, the more damage you deal. You have better dodges, worse blocks, and will take more damage.
The targeting I don't recall super well - I know heals can snap to targets, but your autos have to be manually aimed (just like a gun/bow). There's barely any single target spells (particularly offensive ones).

So I want to play like a full tank never die build. Should I go full heavy armor? Or mix between heavy and medium? I want to be able to pvp as well. Does heavy armor effect run speed? Also I want to know if there is a good way to heal during combat besides heal potions. I know wow tanks have abilities that heal. Thanks to anyone who responds
Also curious to know
Heavy armor won't make you run any slower, but it will reduce your dodge. Whether or not that's made up for by the stronger resistances and block the heavy armor gives you is for you to decide. If you use Sword and Shield, there is a passive that gives you a small heal when you successfully block, and I'm sure other weapons have something similar. But if you want to heal for real, grab a Life Staff as your second weapon.
Should you move to the faction held territory that you belong to?
Yes, there are bonuses in the territory that your faction controls. E.g: discount on Azoth for fast travel. Check on the bonuses that your faction offers for more info.
What server is Cas going to play?
This guide is awesome! I have a huge concern though, I watched the boss fight at 14:15 and it looks like the entire time you are just spamming light/heavy attacks without using a single ability. I've seen this in multiple other videos form players and I'm really hoping its not just a heavy/light game loop with an ability every once in a great while.

@@JayXan They are fighting a level 66 boss ( I believe max level for players is 60) so I believe this is endgame.
I have no idea what he was doing there. I have seen everyone else during combat where abilities are always on CD. If anything I believe abiloty CDs need to be reduced, combat does seem slow, 3 abilities per bar with high CD numbers can make for a very tedious combat system.
During the first Beta the Greataxe Heavy Attack was dealing double damage. Whether that's intended or not, I'm not sure, but it lead to the most efficient way of dealing damage was just spamming them. But yes, a lot of dungeon gameplay is Light and Heavy Attacks. Far more than any other MMO I have ever played.

You can remove gems i thought. They break but you have a certain percentage to recover them. Or is that if you destroy the weapon/equipment for parts
If you destroy the weapon you have a chance of recovering the gem. Otherwise you can’t remove it.
You salvage the gear and there is a good chance to get your gem back. Get tons of silver in the start and some gems and you can craft then salvage and remake with the same gems for getting up jeweler skill.
they changed this in the open beta, you get barely any chance to recover gems from jewllery and items, I destroyed 30 necklaces to test it out and got 0 jewels back. (in the closed beta you had a high chance of jewel recovery, and usually they were returned "uncut" which meant you could use them to craft larger gems later on at the stone crafting bench).
@@lesliefulton9219 Huh did not notice this at all in the 3 days I had for open beta. They increased the drop rate of jewels from mining from closed to open so I had no problem getting plenty of gems. I was still getting gems in salvage as well still it did not seem that rare albeit much more rare then the first beta. I thought it was DEFINITLY easier to get up then in closed beta. In Closed beta I got almost all of my gems back when salvaging so obviously they could not sustain that. With the addition of more in mining nodes I think it was 100% easier in open beta then closed beta to level jewel crafting.
Tip 1. Refund the Game now and buy it again in one or two weeks
do u have to wear all light armour for the damage boost,if so where does it tell u this info in game ?
The bar next to your gear is marked light medium then heavy. As you put you gear on the bar will fill depending on what types of gear it is. For example if you had all light armor but then a heavy helm the bar would move past light into medium so you then get the medium bonus.
