For the past two weeks I have been evaluating the propect of purchasing an electric wheelchair. Recently came across someone who was actually using one, the Predators model to be exact. Although it serves his needs. I noticed how uncomfortable he was sitting in it. He indicated that it was a little heavy at time of trunk storage so that turned me off. His experience with medical coverage was that it covered the purchase or rental, that was good.
Some Electric wheelchairs are covered. Most of the folding and extremely light ones are not. The manufacturer does not get a PDAC letter and billing code becuase the cost is more than the insurance reimbursement code. I hope this helps.
It is. Can I take my Journey Air Elite Chair on an airplane? Yes, and here are a few things you need to know before taking your Journey Air Elite Chair on a plane. Your Journey Air Elite Chair should qualify as free baggage with most airlines, but you can call your airline prior to your trip to make sure. You can ride your Journey Air Elite Chair all the way up to the gate and down the jetway. As you get to the end of the jetway, you will need to remove the Journey Air Elite Chair battery from the back of the chair, fold your Journey Air Elite Chair and hand it to a flight attendant to stow it under the plane. Take the battery on the plane with you to your seat. Be sure to contact your specific airline to ask for their procedures for transporting a battery-powered vehicle, and see your Journey Air Elite USA User Manual for more info. Here is a link to the FAA regulations regarding battery-powered chairs. You can order from this link: www.allstarmedicalllc.com/product/journey-air-elite-lightweight-power-folding-chair
Can the battery be removed and charged while detached from the chair? Or does it need to be installed on the chair to be charged? Why the battery On/Off switch?
The battery can be removed and charged. The switch is more of a safety feature you could cut off if you didn't want someone driving it. I hope this helps. Give us a call if you have any other questions. Our number is 615-258-6778
I BOUGHT ONE FOR MY WIFE. THE MANUAL DOES NOT GIVE STEP BY STEP ON HOW TO CHARGE IT ! DO THE BRAKES NEED TO BE LOCKED/ IS THE POWER SWITCH NEED TO BE ON OR OFF? I HAD IT PLUGED IN OVER NIGHT BUT WAS NOT CHARGED. I CALL THE NUMBER ON THE BOOKLET BUT THE LADY DID NOT KNOW WHAT TO TELL ME. (B,S.) I WILL CALL YOU TOMORROW. THANKS ! B. B. IN SOUTHWEST, UTAH. 😇
I would not recommend it for someone that height. They would not be comfortable. I woud recommend the Zoomer for someone that height. www.allstarmedicalllc.com/product/zoomer-lite-power-folding-chair-one-handed-control/
Thing is my mom's Drive transport is only 18 pounds & cost $115 when I bought it. $3K is insane, carbon fiber or not. Maybe the need to make a Drive wheelchair electric at just alittle more cost. @@allstarmedical

Have any customers shared about what this is like on outdoor terrain? Mostly like city sidewalks and pavement
We’ve had great feedback on this chair. No issues on sidewalks. We will try and shot a video showing this for you
Do you have suggestions for inside lifts; for example 2019 Subaru forester
What type of mobility device do you have? You can also call us and we can help. Our number is 615-730-9438
Does it lock when folded so it doesn't unfold when handling it to put in backseat of the car?
it does not. I does stay closed very well
Is this wheelchair airline approved? I like it because it's only 26LBS, lightweight and seems easy to maneuver.
It is.

I think we spoke to you on the phone. I hope we were able to help.
Is this chair big enough for a 6'1" male weighing 228 lbs.
I would not recommend it for someone that height. They would not be comfortable. I woud recommend the Zoomer for someone that height. www.allstarmedicalllc.com/product/zoomer-lite-power-folding-chair-one-handed-control/
Free shipping. hmmm. From the first look at it, I expected maybe a few hundred dollars. The chair is 3,000 dollars. That is insane.
The price is high because the unit is made out of carbon fiber. It's very light but it is exspensive.
