Simple, easy, compact, manoeuvrable and aerodynamic glider with integrated flaps. Just an ingenious human invention. It weighs only 64kg and can go at 30-130... Thanks Roger Ruppert, glad to see that.
Looks like a lot of fun and easy to launch in light winds or stronger consistent winds. I imagine the ground handling practice is much less forgiving than a paraglider for a beginner. Thermal soaring would be amazing if it can pull a tight turn to stay in the core. The fuselage would also help prevent the water supply (and pilot) from freezing at high altitudes.
this thing is pure innovation. Imagine a plane which can take off by just running. It takes almost no time to get airborne. And it flies without and engine. And its very light too. Simple geniuse.
Wow, building set of the UL airplane without engine cost 1/4 price... But still, if i could pack it into sth. like VW transporter, Ford transit or similar cars with my skis or fins on the summer/winter holiday and use it during relaxing days it would be awesome...same as my girlfriend would start me up with car on the field behind my house and i could use it more times in year than regular plane, grounded on the airfield not too close my living place....
You have made it! You have combined the disadvantages of gliders and paragliders into one system. Bulky and heavy as a glider, but with the weaker performance of a paraglider. Npbody will be able to carry it up the hills in his backpack and nobody will use it as a serious glider on the gliderports because of its high price and low performance. What is the target group then?
One day this device will fit inside a coffee cup and assemble itself in seconds, around the user, by thought alone. Crazy right? So is the device I'm typing this on to literally everyone born 50 years ago. Don't underestimate technology.

Gee, I remember when hang gliding was just a bed sheet stretched over a fishing pole frame and you launched into the elements bare-naked with a rope tied around your waist.. My how much they've improved.
Awesome technology though very expensive. In comparison I could have bought ~1200 of my first original gliders. As a poor engineering student, my first Rigallo, (second hand 1978) cost $57 my second Tornado, $85 then a German Superwing, $95. Yes that was ages ago but enjoyed every minute of it. Survived 3 'plane' crashes, all part of awesome fun. Guys (and girls) live flat out!

Xelbiuj if this is your hobby and you are serious about it, take care of the vehicle, and have the money, seems okay to me. most of that price is the crazy composites going on, they ain't cheap.

Funny thing! I wonder how I would use it? I live in a lowland. The nearest hills what are like 50 meters high are about 200 kms far away! How to get that thing up into the air if everthing around me is flat? Would jumping from the roof of my house be an option?

You know damn well imma be saying “Positive rate of climb, gear up” every time I pull my legs up if I fly one of these.
0:26 there is a dent appears on the right side when pilot is running
That is because these planes can't be made of metal they have to be made by a frame with fabric over it. This makes the plane lighter.
Happen when another plane "ran" into him.
So cool!!
Flintstones would be proud!
😊👍
I'm having trouble getting the landing gear down..."No wait! I am the landing gear!"

Using his feet to fly this is quite similar to when Fred Flinstones was moving his car, should've shouted yabadabadoo whilst taking off.
It just looks like a plane with mans legs
I'm trying to figure out why he needs a helmet -- the plane is his helmet
After all of designing this craft, I wonder why they did not just add long retractable landing gear?
It would add extra weight, unneeded complexity and unreliability, and most likely a huge markup in the price.
@@Lanzbik At the price they are asking, it should include landing gear like a glider. And lights.
