Translator's note:
I’m not Korean but I’ve been passively learning Korean through Korean media for about 7-8 years now and I understand quite a lot. This means that my translation, while probably not totally incorrect, is not 100% accurate either so please watch with this in mind! Just wanted to share how I personally perceive the lyrics. Also, this is my first time translating ever so please be lenient hehe. This is not literally translated word by word. I’ve tried to follow the Korean lyrics but I do also take artistic liberty to make the sentences flow better and connect with one another. Also I made VERY liberal translations for some expressions that I’m unsure how to translate.
Definitely let me know if you spot translation mistakes!

*홀로 강호에 나서: I interpreted 강호 as 强豪 which means a strong person but it may as well as be 江湖 [jiang hu] a familar term for c-media consumers namely the pugilist world, an abstract world/community consisting of people who come together to fight and learn from one another. I chose the former translation but I think the latter is the intended meaning.
**물거품으로: to turn into water bubbles - this is an expression used to describe when an effort goes down the drains/when something is done in vain.
***한바탕의 꿈: I know 한바탕 means like one hit, one punch or one round but I’m not exactly sure how to properly translate it when 꿈 follows so I went with a short dream. Feel free to leave a correction if you do know a better/more correct translation! [EDIT] 민-nim explained that 한바탕의 꿈 means something like "a short yet impactful dream, that is simultaneously in vain" so I adjusted the translation through CC. I wanted to convey in fewer words that it was also an impactful dream but that proves to be difficult.
****In the chorus, there's a line that goes 사랑과 미움을 가를 수가 없어. The translation you see is "there's no way to conceal love or hate". It should be "there's no way to separate love and hate". I've put the corrected line in CC.
*****속세 was translated as "world" only but it should mean the secular world (the non-cultivating world in this case).

hello thank you so much for the translation! i was so happy when finally laftel released this and almost cried at the hangul subtitle in the video bc like you, i also have been familiar with korean language since 8 or so years ago though im still lack in interpreting it word to word i understand the gist of the korean lyrics and so happy at being able to sing it easily. anyway, do you perhaps know any infos if laftel gonna release mdzs korean dub in youtube like the chinese one? i really want to watch it but as far as i know from their twitter theyre just releasing it in their own platform.
I'm a Korean and I know that they will not release mdzs on youtube so you should watch on app Laftel.. But I also know that Laftel only allows in Korea to use the app😭 (I studied in the U.S and I couldn't open it..)
i don't know if laftel has plans to make the krn dub available overseas but right now, you have to be in korea and have a korean phone number to be able to watch it ;-;;;;;;;; i also want to watch it so bad

This is called "Art" which can break the walls of differences between different countries and different ethnics. When I firstly listen this song in Chinese version, I can feel the culture and also can see style of ancient Chinese art. Totally represent the China. Now when I listen in Korean version, Korean culture and Korean style is replaced instead of the before feelings, but the original taste doesn't definitely disappear. So amazinggggg!!!

the kr dub is available on laftel! however you must be located in korea and/or have a korean number to able to view it ,,
I had no idea MDZS was dubbed into Korean. Color me surprised. Now there is a JP one too. We just need an English one (but they're gonna mangle the names horribly), but at least more exposure! XD

it was available on the korean website called laftel when it was released in 2020! but international fans can’t access it due to region lock and i’m not quite sure whether it is still on there or the license has already expired :)

I haven't planned to translate buxian at all but I'll see what I can do : ) however I do have plans to translation xianyun (선운/羡云) if it ever gets released in Korean!

I like the original cover better. It was more powerful. Terry Lin definitely did a better job in certain notes and did a better job at emphasizing certain points. No hate to this song but the original will always be the best.
