When khawi leonard wanted out he blamed his injury but 2 teams later and hes still using the same excuse only difference is he does want to play for his hometown and at least attends the games despite injury.. I feel sorry for pelican fans because they instilled the faith in zion just like spurs fans had for khawi leonard but i know someday pelicans will win a championship. Zion gave up on the franchise. He had mad potential his first season and gave up after seeing that the Pelicans will NEVER win a championship. Hell they can’t even fill up the stands.
As a Pelicans fan....it's just tough man. I feel like the organization is at a crossroads with him......it doesn't even seem like he wants to be in Nola. If he did..he'd take being the face of the franchise seriously and prepare his body for the season. Getting what they could for him via trade before the season even started. Soooo many red flags that are here now and were there before the draft. I will take availability and health over talent any day, Heck, throw restraint in there as well because he seems to have none whatsoever given he looks bigger every time they show him. I say all this sadly because I fear we will not see the best he has to offer because he's already having/leg issues and his weight continues to be an issue.

What time does this show actually come on
I agree. Even if he comes back completely healthy, he’s a few years away from being in real actual basketball shape, instead of being in the shape of a basketball
I’m so disappointed in Zion. I couldn’t wait to watch him play coming out of Duke, and for him to just get fat and not play, man it’s a letdown.
Zion literally shouldn’t have any say in how the team is being run when he missed more games than he played 😒🙄
Zion needs to have a clause in his contract as far as his weight and i would love for the heat to trade for him he’ll
Be in tip top shape
When Zion come back averaging 25 pts a game they gone be back nut hugging
He'll be losing by 25 too ...don't play defense and stays under the basket all day ....he's not must see ...at least Bron came in with some what of a jump shot
@@quentinsowell3704 right that's y u under a video talking bout him
He'll average 25pts a game for about 25 games and go down with injury if we look at the past to get an idea of what his future looks like. The young man has MASSIVE potential but let's not sit here and pretend that SO FAR what we've witnessed isnt the least bit concerning and doesnt need to be addressed.
No, Chris! We're not moving the Pelicans go ask another team to move! 😡 Leave the Pelicans alone!!
You have to trade him. You can't give him that contract. He's similar to Blake Griffin. His explosiveness makes him great, once that goes game over. Throw on the weight problems which has already cause multiple lower leg injuries. He's already shaved a few years off his career with those injuries. .
He had medical flags when he was drafted it's only getting worse
I've been saying for a while now that New Orleans needs to consider trading Zion. Maybe to Atlanta and be sure to get John Collins and Cam Reddish. Or Sacramento for Harrison Barnes, Tyrese Halliburton and Buddy Hield if you can get all that under the cap.
Why would the pelicans do for either of those, way to low, You need elite young talent for a player with zions potential if healthy.
I get where Chris is coming from. Zion is injury prone so sign and get ya money just in case you never overcome the injuries.
I know Zion was the consensus #1, but I had real concerns about him coming out because he was SOOOO big and so explosive. Big guys who are high flyers are almost always injury prone.
I really hope zion doesn't end up like Greg oden injuries ended his career too soon
I think this is his way of trying to get out of the pelicans he's just going about it a different way
Let’s not give that energy
@@flyguy7825 I think so too, he should just be open about it so he can stop giving the Pelicans false hope.
I agree with Rob. All of a sudden, he ain't happy with the organization. Really??? Street Clothes 2.0
I can’t stand the main stream media and these ignorant takes on situations they don’t even know about! WHY would the Pelicans move the franchise?? Y’all have ZERO stats to back that up. The Pelicans are like 23rd out of all NBA teams in attendance and that’s WITHOUT ZION. Last year we were 12th with him! The arena is paid in FULL and we have no money issues with the team… just shut up! Zion never said he didn’t want to be here. Okay he doesn’t like Griffin. NOBODY DOES. That doesn’t mean he doesn’t want to play in with his teammates
Media has no integrity , all they care about is clicks and will say uninformed bullshit to get ‘em. These 2 🤡 are no different.
@@barbin23 Grizzles have less in attendance than the Pels and they have Ja! 😂 like what?? Facts bro. Clowns smh
@@vulturemode3464 they’re trying to find any reason to push the narrative that the pelicans need to be moved. They won’t talk about in spite of missing their best player that team has been playing their asses off for Willie Green.
@@barbin23 man i’m so glad we have Willie Green. Watching them boys play so hard every night, i’ve never been more proud to be a Pelicans fan bruh real talk

I'm not offering the extension
I’m pretty sure they’re not gonna offer him a max contract! If they do they are the worst franchise in history! Contract year your supposed to be out there balling out to get that contract. (And when you do, you pull a John wall)
I've always been defending Zion..but I'm at my limit...If he is truly saying he is unhappy, then let him go... He is getting paid to eat ..what could he be made about..everyone is bending over backwards for him. it's Zion's own fault he's hurt not the Pelicans organization
Trade him for who/what ? What are you getting/wanting back ?
Indiana for some combo of Brogdon/LeVert/Sabonis
If lonzo is balling, why did he have problems in the pelicans?
Zions situation is a little similar to the khawi leonard and spurs dilemma. Actions speak louder than words and not every player will be vocal. The man is not happy to play for the pelicans, he knows what hes worth and him not being near his teammates speaks volumes. They just need a few more draft picks.
The cavs would have to be crazy to give up Mobley for an injured 300 pound Zion..
Zion gonna sign the max extension and secure the bag because he knew deep inside he’s done because of his injuries.
Rob is right
Zion is going to be just fine he is damn sure not a bust.
When he gets off his fat, lazy behind , then he will be alright but until then he is a great liability.
Daryl Morey, Elton brand, & the Sixers would never trade for another injury prone player who is also another headache, would make no sense.
Hopefully he can make a comeback like Joel embid eventually. That's best case scenario at this point.
The odds of him being able to do that are not good at all I would definitely try and trade him now
Zion gave up on the franchise. He had mad potential his first season and gave up after seeing that the Pelicans will NEVER win a championship. Hell they can’t even fill up the stands.
Yeah because we to busy having fun at these black based secondlines, you should come bra.
If Zion averages 35 10 10 and only plays 10 games a year whats the point. Trade his ass to Taco Bell, he'll definitely show up to work everyday there.
😂
Only if they bring back the tostada (The original, not the one with that weird orange gunk on it)
As a Pelicans fan....it's just tough man. I feel like the organization is at a crossroads with him......it doesn't even seem like he wants to be in Nola. If he did..he'd take being the face of the franchise seriously and prepare his body for the season. Injuries happen... that's not his fault...but the weight issues are totally him..and he has to take responsibility for that. Watching Ja Morant go bonkers on the rest of NBA doesn't make it any better for us Pelicans fans. Not to mention the Grizzlies are our division rival. It's like pouring salt in our wound.
we need to get rid of him while we can i'm over it
I wouldn't trade Mobley for Zion straight up
1st good take I've ever heard Rob say. In literally like 20 years of him on TV. 😂😂😂
Blazers should trade CJ McCollum for Zion. Blazers would get a point forward that they need to play along side Lillard. Pels would get a great mid range and 3 point scorer who can play off Ingram.
That’s crazy, they should’ve drafted Ja!!
Hindsight is 20/20. At that time, NO ONE was drafting ja over zion
No cap
Stop the nonsense. No one thought that at the time.
Facts ja was better already and it was obvious 💯 but I’m glad Memphis got him way better organization
Man when Memphis went again the pels…Zion dominated the games. Go watch the film. When Zion is healthy & in shape, Ja is not on his level. Man when people are gone, how soon people forget.
I wouldn’t offer rookie max extension. I’d offer the same amount but not guaranteed. It would have weight incentives and games played incentives.
I hope they do trade him, cus he's not going to be playing in the NBA long. If I was them, I'd sit him until his contract is over if I don't get a good enough trade for him.
I'm not signing him to that extension unless I've already got a trade lined up
Yes! And the Raiders should trade Jamarcus Russell now, while he still has value!
Zion never wanted to play for NO. He wants to be a Knick.. He’s eating his way out 🤤
That's no excuse everybody can't be in the star driven cities get over it buy a house and live there during the summer go do your job.Him being in New York don't mean he still not gon be a porker
I been saying that!!!
Truth Bro! ✊🏾
Watch how dude slim down and how healthy he gets once he gets traded.
@@mxhughes - When he doesn’t sign his rookie extension he will then ask to be traded. Knicks will be his top destination
@@delscott958 you would want a dude who damages his health on purpose just so he can get out a situation what type of logic is that we don't even know what type of player he is we don't know if he's a real winner or just a numbers guy and we don't know if he's a actual leader which I would say he isn't if he can't keep his weight on point
@@mxhughes facts these people be sounding so stupid
Charlotte, Indiana, Cleveland, Sacramento, Boston ,Atlanta good trading partnas
Indiana sounds the best to me...any Western Conference team is a no go don't wanna play him more than twice a year if we don't have to
If you are New Orleans why would you offer Zion Williamson a contract extension. He has been living on his potential since he played at Duke.
Zion is a sad sad Story fr thou.. So much Potential. It's a shame
He’s 20 years old lmao he still has immense potential, y’all are nuts
Why would the Pelicans offer him the max?
I would trade him asap
Never been so sure about where a player is gonna go and wants to go and it’s Zion on the Knicks .. would be crazy and amazing for both sides.. meaning zion and the Knicks
I thought a big 3 of Zion..Ingram and Lonzo surrounded by other pieces would have been so great...looking at them last year...I know there were so many games they were in and lost by 2,or 4...one possessions games ..they could score with anybody just needed some defenders...fun fun team...I feel they going backwards now...Ingram is still nice but it's just only so much he can do solo...
They would have been. They messed it up bad. Once they lost Lonzo, it was downhill from there
Nah, Lonzo is overrated af. Ingram is looking solid with the Pels now that he’s healthy. If he leads them to the play in without Zion’s fat ass, what does that say about Zion and Lonzo?
If I'm the Pelicans I would not give him a long term contract. It's obvious that he's injury prone and has a problem keeping his weight in check.
Maybe he’s in Portland so he can see how he likes the northwest before the team gets moved to Seattle 🤷♂️
damn, nice take!
Best talk show on Radio! 💯
If the pelicans offer him a max deal, Brandon Ingram needs to get outta there ASAP!! That franchise won’t be anything for the next 6 years
Zion for fox would be a win for both teams
I think Zion would be more than happy to get traded, I think its obvious he no longer wants to play in that dump of an organization.. he saw why CP3 and AD left
we would be more than happy to see him go foh
Wait but like we forgetting that Zion is better than ja? When healthy
So y’all want the Pelicans to get rid of Zion for below his value so he can be a star somewhere else… just stop it
Yeah bro alot these people are some clowns. "Red flags" and making assumptions like the man maybe left New Orleans to rehab AND stay away from food that is in fact NO or any other distractions but they just think he don't want to play for em when the fact is he can't and when you can't of course the dude is going to gain weight and have some set backs. He'll be back within this szn or for sure the start of next szn which this point shouldn't even rush it....it happens again tho and develops a track record then we can talk how bad and where he wants to play. Clowns also saying they'd take Ja #1 now....lmfao nobody in their right mind would even entertain this.
@@antwanbonifas7710 In short, I agree with everything you said
Snacks remain undefeated told yall😂🤣
Let’s be honest he won’t live up to expectations/hype that he should of never got in the first place all bc he dunking on people that don’t make you great & have a few good games & was built like nfl lineman with hops
He averaged 27 ppg on over 60% from the field at 20 years old. You are a casual if you think Zion is just a dunker and not a great basketball player
@@michaelgieseler2799 just save ya breath at this point bruh
@@tradariusmaddox6827 why? You think I’m wrong or something? There is no debating what I said. They are facts that prove just how good Zion is, and that he has already lived up to expectations from a talent perspective. Only one other player in history has averaged over 25+ ppg on over 60% shooting, which was Kevin McHale as a second option to bird. Zion is the only other player to do that, and he did it as the primary option as a 20 year old. You are the one that should save their breathe and stop hopping on bandwagon narratives that aren’t even true. Its cool to not like Zion now in the nba community for some reason, and I refuse to jump on the bandwagon like all you other casuals because Zion has been nothing but amazing when on the court
@@michaelgieseler2799 I’m saying don’t waste ya breathe , because how things are looking “Right Now”, people gon keep doubting… I’m a Zion fan all day. So I’m not worried, once he healthy he will be a beast.
@@michaelgieseler2799 lol 😂 they were mostly layups he’s not better than John collins & he won’t be greater than prime Blake griffin & let’s be honest & tell me that when he averages that in a full season & he can barely get up and down the court facts & I’d bet you everything in my savings that he won’t be great Idk what the hype was all about
So, Chrils would be willing to trade Zion for a star that you can win a championship with and some top draft picks. You know, as long as that star is willing to stay in New Orleans. Which team with that guy is willing to trade him along with picks for your guy who wants out and might be the next Greg Oden? I suggested, TWO years ago that the Pelicans should trade Zion when his upside was at the top and most people thought I was crazy.
Everyone is going to owe Zion an apology once he is most improved player next year.
Yea right that fool isn't even gonna play next year. Zion was really big when he was @ duke I agree 100 percent with rob parker get rid of him immediately
I still think Zion can eat 28 burgers and 12 fries with 5 drinks in his sleep.
I would trade him if I could get a great deal. It’s always a sucker out there

NY likes Zion, send him there. He will be the biggest and heaviest nba player. Zion foot will never heal, his weight keeps adding and adding. New Orleans will be stupid to sign again. You dont pay player to be on the injury list
Why would they offer him a max deal
It is truly a nightmare for those of us in NOLA - I was there for his first game and the emotion and sound and energy of the arena that night was unprecedented, and now this - not only a nightmare, but a RECURRING nightmare: Baron Davis, Chris Paul, Anthony Davis, now Zion - we might have been losing Drew with the Saints, but at least we had Zion with the Pels - seems like a pretty funny thought now, but I don't see how trading him can possibly work out in our favor in any way.
I would roll the dice and trade Julius Randle for Zion
Nike is based in Portland. It is likely that they are working with him to get back into shape. It can also be helpful to have some time away.
Zion made a huge mistake by not signing with Klutch sports. LeBron woulda took him under his wing and showed him the ropes. Now his career is basically ruined before it got started. Next…
For your information so we're clear the 76ers drafted him with an injury then they did the operation and the operation didn't take. Somehow that doesn't seem to be JoJo's fault. Then they did a second operation which put him out another season. So for me the statistics should be after Joel embiids operation on how many games he played. 😎
As a Packers fan, I feel for you Pelicans fan. We had a RB who was a monster for us for a short period of time but was addicted to Chinese food and ate himself out of the league.
