If Philippine law schools only let in smarter-than-average students, class discussions wouldn't be a problem. Law school isn't for everyone - it requires some serious brain power and critical thinking skills.
How would you distinguish the average to the above average then? Entrance exams and assessment tests does that job. And everyone, until the bar, is capable of making making it. And you're wrong if you think it only requires brain power and critical thinking skills to survive. I say give me the average student, with the impeccable motivation and immovable will.

Entrance exams and assessments serve a purpose, evaluating a student's academic readiness and potential for success. Having drive and willpower isn't enough, academic achievement also requires a strong foundation in knowledge and cognitive ability.
