Thanks for reading this. Easier to listen when driving.
Thank you for taking the time to read the story; it was truly delightful. I couldn't help but perceive Samson's vulnerability to Delilah and his seeming imprudence. It's difficult to fathom how someone could be repeatedly deceived, especially when the consequences are known, and yet still succumb. The complexity of "love" indeed provokes deep contemplation.
A lot in the Samson story. Thanks for sharing
It's one of my favorites! So much to think about in it! Have a beautiful weekend!
Thank you for sharing dear Laurie, intriguing character Samson can't help wondering why anyone would entertain an intimate partner wanting to know God given source of strength/weakness or does point lay elsewhere?
His story is so symbolic. His "turning point" is also spelled out when he "turns aside" to look upon the dead carcass and decides to feast on the honey, which is the Word of God. In the Book of Jasher, Moses is described as the Lion :-)
Have a blessed week, Dear Colin!
I seem to remember that the name Samson was spelled with a letter “P” a long time ago in the King James Version: “Sampson”
I feel the same way! Perhaps it's the Mandela Effect.

• Pete Seeger the lyricist for the song stated that the only words he added that were not in the Bible were: “turn”, and “I swear it’s not to late”, and also, as a result. Because the words were directly from the scripture, he allocated most of the royalties for that song to charity.
• The King James now says: “and a time for every purpose under 😳the😳 heaven.” (which is supernaturally changed)
• The King James now says: “and a time to plant, a time to 😳pluck up😳.” (which is supernaturally changed)
In todays KJ Bible, it even now says “a time to sew” (as in sewing a sweater)
