I like how you were thinking,I totally regret switching pick ups in a high end telecaster eventually put them back but still regret tampering with my Teles original wiring.

Oh if anyone ever buys a set of Tim Shaw pickups make sure you buy pickup rings to fit them.the middle hole to screw the pickup ring to the pickup (middle hole) on each side is 3-1/8” compared to an even 3” on regular newer gibsons.I found out the hard way.Hope this helps someone out there who is thinking about buying a set. They are the best pickups I’ve ever used.

Thank you for sharing your knowledge about LP:s. But I think most of us viewers are more interested in how the Timbuckers sound and perhaps not so much of hou soldering in the pu:s? Anyway that’s what the headline of this implies.

I try to include content that will help everyone here and there, whether its installation or sound demo's. But I do have a sound demo of the Tim Shaw's in a separate video,,,thx for the comment!

Some of those MIJ Epi Les Pauls cost as much as a Gibson. What are your thoughts on the Korean ones?

I think the MIK epi's are just as good. In fact, those are the ones I own most of and will usually buy over the MIC. Like most other guitars there can be an off guitar, meaning some imperfections...but most of the MIK epis i have are more than adequate and very happy with them.
