Thanks alot, only diffrence with the way i learned this is that we use an " Interval chart" where instead of plugging in numbers , we just look for sign if its a negative or positive . Thanks alot.

how about if the polynomial function has complex zeroes? how do i plot the complex zeroes into the graph? like g(x) = x4 + x3 - 3x2 + 7x - 6

+reekee woallers Complex zeros are not graphed on the Cartesian plane. Only real zeros can exist on such a diagram. For the equation you gave, my suggestion would be to break it into linear and quadratic factors using the factor theorem. If the equation has complex zeros as you suggest, the quadratic factor/s will not factorise and will yield complex numbers when subjected to the quadratic formula. Other information may be obtained about the shape of the graph using calculus and establishing end points (say from -4
