I believe they started flirting or have feelings for each other back in Season 2. Aethelflaed was the one who convinced her father to rescue Uhtred from the slave ship. And Uhtred was not happy that Aethelflaed was married to Aethelred. I like how TLK was so subtle about the build up of their romance and then when they finally come together, you’re like “This is the Ship I never knew I needed!”. 😍
