    So stoked to see I'm not the only one still using the 2000 pro in a world of electronic stabilisers!
    Nice video!

    this is the first time i have seen you and man the way you talk and the sweet bg music makes me nostalgic like ive known you for a long time..ive rewatched this more than 4 times now....u sure u havent used any warp stabelizer or anything in post cuz this video looks unbelievably smooth...do you use nd filter to fix the shutter speed at 1/120 sec? cheers from Nepal

      Thank you that means a lot. This was all shot in 24fps and not slowed at all or any warp stabilizer. If you're not familiar I'm using a steadicam to help steady it. Can't remember if I needed a ND this day or not. It is good practice shooting 180 degree rule but I'm not stuck on it honestly I'll overcrank and undercrank often.

      g3mccotter i really am amazed how cool this video is...i am into timelapse thesedays and looking to buy a flycam hd3000 rather than gimbal for B-Roll shots and just talking walks...i got across this video when i was convincing myself to go for a good glidecam....i really feel i will connect to this mechanics more than gimbals...thank you...looking forward to your other videos

    Great video! One if the best steadicam demo videos out there:)
    I sold both my Zhiun crane and Roning 2 and I just get a Glidecam, I dont like the lose parts of gimbals.

    Hey man - This looks really beautiful, I have exactly the same kit, how do you grade/do you shoot raw with Magic Lantern? I just wanna know how you got it looking like this

    • @g3mccotter
      @g3mccotter  6 років тому

      Jack Bushell thanks I really appreciate that especially since I don't feel like my grades ever look good and I just kind of rush it. What you're seeing mostly is probably just that l series lens. This wasn't shot in raw. I shoot with the cinestyle profile from ML. Then just some basic premiere luts and maybe slight correction.

      Deeeecent. So you load ML from an SD card into the camera and apply the cinestyle profile?

      The grades sick mate I'm so encouraged you got this out of a Canon 60D, it's an older camera so often I feel the pressure of not having upgraded but this is great

      @g3mccotter  6 років тому

      Jack Bushell yeah, it films in cinestyle which is quite flat. Sometimes the card buffer can't keep up. I might have had the bit rate up to 1.3x but I don't think so, I can't tell the difference anyways.

      Jack Bushell yeah I know what you mean, I've been looking at 4k it seems like forever. These cameras with good glass and ML can still hold it down. I did a video with all raw video of my wife, check it out, nifty fifty raw 14bit. After editing it didn't seem worth it to go through the process of raw in post.

    Do you know the difference between the 2000 Pro and the HD 2000?

    • @g3mccotter
      @g3mccotter  4 роки тому +1

      I think the HD is the newer one that has quick release plates so it doesn't necessarily need re balancing

    I use the 60d to 18/55 kit lens... lol

      Alex Going nothing wrong with that. Glass is always worth the investment remember that it doesn't lose value hardly at all like camera bodies do. Spend the money on good fast lenses that are sharp and let your camera get old ha.
