    I didn't really want to put my reasons in the video for why I chose the Dudek harness over the Nirvana harness but here's why.
    Nirvana Harness:
    There's no safety strap from the carabiner to the harness (you can buy one for $44 from SkySportsUSA). It has an underseat reserve which I don't like - I don't want my reserve, albeit outer container, touching the dirt, or absorbing wet grass's moisture which could soak through (Scout also does this. It's just not my thing. Personal preference). I don't like that the reserve bridle routing stops at the side pocket AND has no attachment points for the reserve bridle built into the shoulder strap. This means the intent is for the reserve bridle to only connect to the carabiners, so in a rare single carabiner failure, you're coming down under the reserve sideways connected only to one carabiner. It also means you need to hook your bridle up across your lap each flight(link at the bottom for some $108 bridle they use) - I like less steps.
    Dudek Harness:
    It's common and people like it. It has an underseat pocket for extra storage. It has a safety strap from the carabiner to the harness. It has a side mounted reserve with bridle routing to the shoulder straps so now you have redundant safety.
    I didn't weigh the harnesses so I can't compare - maybe I will sometime but they don't seem much different. The pros outweigh the cons when it comes to Dudek vs Nirvana harness in my opinion.

    Now that’s a far difference from the old Rodeo 125 sp I’m still rockin with the high hang points! What a pretty unit. Nirvana really does pay attention to every detail.

    Great to see again that they still make this upside down engine with problems. Spend a lot of money on my first paramotor. When I tried to take and transport it to the local private airport the engine kept flooding. The spark plug. It would then become a nightmare. Eventually the bendix in the starter failed . And after I tried fixing it without luck since I couldn’t not find parts . Simonini makes great products. Can wait to get a Vitorazzi with pull start .

      You must be unique, or you're over-priming. The Simonini engine Nirvana uses is stupid reliable.

    I put the same harness on my F-light about 6 months ago. Make sure your right strap going down to the back legs (9:51) does not go over your ON/OFF switch. I had an engine cut off or two in flight when the swing arms come up. I ended up making a cover over the switch that kept the strap away from it. Just a heads up.

      I noticed that, so that's why I have the shoulder harness attached above that, higher as you saw.

      Not sure I like it. I don't like that it has thrust at idle (yes I'm within the recommended range). So imagine reverse kiting, you're stepping backwards, but the motor is trying to push you under your wing. Or you're forward launching, and you lean back at idle, and the thrust blows your wing. It's weird.

      I do like it. Pap's new supair harness modifications are really nice. They added cobra buckles, have an airbag, have a shoulder harness window for your tachometer, and have a phone holder on the other shoulder harness strap. Their backup straps are nicely positioned as well. Might be the most well thought out harness

    Hey champ, are you using the primer/activator that goes with the locktite ? Make sure your locktite is fresh as well. Like any chemical as it ages it goes "flat".

    • @iKenFlyPPG
      @iKenFlyPPG 6 місяців тому

      Last I checked thread lockers are anaerobic and don't require an accelerator, unless you are trying to put it into service immediately. Why I like super glue accelerator, and it smells good.

    • @automan1223
      @automan1223 6 місяців тому

      @@iKenFlyPPG they are endothermic & either react with the metal or they don't If they don't you best use primer/activator. Locktite actually put out a pretty good instructional video recently.

      @@automan1223 If I'm going to update my database I need to confirm the source. The Loctite 243 (blue thread locker) specification says it's an anaerobic cure. I then watched an official Loctite video and they started off saying thread lockers are anaerobic. I've been a mechanic for years, multiple professionally, there ain't no way mechanics are going to put up with a prep circus. I think you may be mistaken here or thinking of another product.

    • @automan1223
      @automan1223 6 місяців тому

      @@iKenFlyPPG Yes sir I am aware of the poor level of education among wrench spinners for decades. Not sure what your hang up is about "anaerobic". You should be aware of the active vs passive metals situation, how clean are the threads etc. I would love to do a whole video on this myself and looking at the locktite channel actually has a how to video with a total of 4 views from years ago. 4 whole views. The information is out there if you want to find it. Better yet. Attend the school of hard knocks. When it fails learn why.

    • @iKenFlyPPG
      @iKenFlyPPG 6 місяців тому

      @@automan1223 I'm stuck on the product curing instructions, absent of air is anaerobic. I've had good luck using brake clean and air blasting to prep threads for blue locker. I was on a crew of marine construction cowboys who would use red Loctite on hydraulic vibratory tampers and mentioned "uh, this should be degreased' during a pump rebuild, the owner responds "uh, yup" with the expression that said "and". I guess it works, those vibratory tampers are insanely powerful machines used to drive piles into the ground. I personally have applied Loctite to several hundreds of fasteners, been through many bottles of thread locker, I cannot recall moments where a thread locker failed unless were talking glowing red hot manifolds and turbochargers where I found good results with nordlock washers. I recall an email from work about technicians using too much Loctite in test fixtures where it was building up and causing issues with servicing them.
      I'm with you on doing things right to the detailed level where I have my wheelhouse of knowledge outside of this area.
      Do you have the title of the video that explains what you're looking at, Id like to get onboard.

    If only there was a feasible way to have one compact enough for “paramotor hike & fly”.
