This channel is an absolute gem. I have been all over UA-cam looking for CI coaching/instructional videos and yours is by far the best. Thanks for what you're doing.
Ethan Beurskens thank you! Sincerely appreciate the positive comment! I don’t get many views but as long as I keep getting responses like this, I’ll keep posting. 🙏
@@learnkaizen Your video on how to plan a kaizen had me filling about half a notepad with thoughts and scribbles. I'm a recently certified green belt and I am suppose to start facilitating kaizen events in the next few months. Your videos are game changers for me. A lot of this material you are going over, you just don't learn it in training. Thank you
@@thedriftlessdrifter Most training tends to cover a bunch of tools but miss the mark on concept. If you understand the concept, you can shift and remain agile using the tool. I've ran into a lot of folks who teach Lean and Six Sigma but don't have that much experience actually using what's being taught, in the real-world...which is a quick "teacher" on what works and what doesn't so well. The great thing about Kaizen is that you'll get better - the more you facilitate. Let me know if you have specific questions. Appreciate your support on my channel.
Made a MS Excel for an event to solve 1 problem for a fast paced Logistics company - was looking for the blueprint in this video to solve for RME teams at Amazon
I need advice on running a short Kaizen for an end to end cleaning process in a manufacturing environment. I only have an initial 3 hour session with 5-8 people and I've already drafted the problem statement and the scope. Is stepping right into the current state process map the best quick solve? Ed S.
I work in CI and have been tasked with coming up with a process to audit kaizen events. Do you have a form or set of questions you go through after the event to determine how successful it was, and to what extent improvements have been sustained?
Typically the Kaizen is tracked through a sustainment metric…for a set number of days…90-120 days is sufficient but keep it visual! I go over this and provide a sustainment template inside the Kaizen Expert Masterclass…here’s a link if interested. No pressure www.learnkaizen.com
Hi! Thanks for this clear and great explanation. I am in my Continuous Improvement early career years and I am trying to become an expert! Its been a journey with a lot of learnings even from mistakes! I was trying to get the Kaizen blueprint but the link is expired, could you please help me out?
Apologies for the late reply…going through my comments this morning to make sure I’ve responded to everyone as I wrap up 2021 and prepare for 2022… here is the blue print you ask about… www.learnkaizen.com/opt-in-a1007df2-f5bd-4a06-937e-9f4fb5cc9d30

Thanks for the video, good affirmation of the necessary steps for a Kaizen event.
Glad it was helpful!

It depends on the problem statement. The scope sounds rather large “end to end” but it just depends on the problem statement. Can you share it?
