I agree. Djokovic hasn't been the same player this year, Sinner is not going to be 100% if he does play and Alcaraz probably won't be 100% either. I think Zverev's biggest obstacle will be handling his own nerves. He tends to fold when the pressure is really high.

The fact that the German court thought there was compelling evidence that didn't even need a trial is pretty damn telling. The fact that two different women on two different occasions spoke about domestic violence tells a lot. Moreover this is the guy who was disqualified for smashing an umpires chair with a racquet and has been seen yelling at ball kids to "give me the fucking ball". If he publicly abuses people on a public and advertised tennis match then I shudder to think what he does in his own time.
1. He appealed because courts thought there was enough evidence to prosecute without a trial.
2. His physical presence isn't required but the trial will still go ahead so tough on that.
3. Sure that is law but a fat load of evidence points to his guilt.
We shall see when the trial concludes mid way through June.

@@jkmertz7140 Yes it is. Janhip changed his serve earlier that year well ahead of the USO. They went 5 sets, but physically Zverev was stronger. Still the case. Sinner will always have conditioning issues. Even in '24 at the height of his powers, the body woes persisted at IW, M-C, & Madrid.

@@arod68993 you do know that Sinner clearly said himself that he couldn't speak any Italian until he was a teenager? He grew up speaking German in Sud Tyrol. He said that he had to communicate in sign language for a while when he moved out of that area as a teenager to an Italian speaking area for a few years. he learned to speak Italian but with an accent. since 18 he has lived in Monaco.
