The MCU exists within the Marvel comics omniverse as a separate multiverse to the comics multiverse. In the MCU multiverse, the main earth is 616.
@@SukhdeepMultani I can see how that would work, tbh. Like, the comic book universe is 616 and so is the MCU and that works because they're different multiverses. So multiverse is not the correct term to describe the one that encompasses everything but rather, a multiverse is just a collection of different universes sharing the same space but where different events took place that caused them to split up into a different version of Earths/universes, (who knows how many) and the one that encompasses everything is called the omniverse. Did I get that right?
A lot of things to notice in this scene, "Fury" saying "Your Earth" to Peter, Quentin uplifting Peter, showing that he prioritizes intelligence, the whole motive that he became Mysterio.
Easter Eggs - evidence that Fury's definitely a Skrull. Also, he *_TRUSTS_* Mysterio when Nick Fury trusts NO ONE.

That was the time Spider Man meets Mysterio, the first magician actor in the MCU, compared to his comic book counterpart.
This is one of my favortie scenes to Spider-Man far from home, it's odd how Mysterio predicted the multiverse was real and it was when Doctor Strange came along on no way home. I laughed when Nick Fury said "bitch please you've been to space" I'm surprised Peter didn't take that as an insult to it, but it was hilarious.
My best theory would be Mysterio noticed the events of Infinity War & Endgame. He noticed that Cull Obsidian & Proxima Midnight are killed, but then returned 5 years later for no logical reason at all. This must be what convinced Mysterio to believe the Multiverse was real, therefore allowing him to spin his fake story around it.
Well , Mysterio wasn't lying about multiverse after all.

Here after Dr Strange 2 and Mysterio mentioning Earth 616 makes no sense
Mysterio just made up the Elementals out of Avatar: The Last Airbender
Mysterio says this Earth is "dimension 616", while his Earth is "dimension 833". However, in Dr. Strange: The Multiverse of Madness, when the Multiverse is actually confirmed, our Earth also happens to be "616". This is done because Marvel's world is defined as being a "616 dimension" in the comics. However, Mysterio's terminology no longer makes sense, simply because it's absolutely ridiculously pinpoint accurate. Considering Mysterio's first appearance in the comics is in issue 13, I suggest he call his dimension "13" and our one can be "39", a reference to 1939, the year Marvel started.

I was so furious at Fury (no pun intended) for telling about Spiderman's identity to eveyone!Hell that was a red flag in itself since real Fury is a true spy and knows how to keep things close to his chest but Peter wouldn't have known this.
Technically it’s not Fury so kind of understandable.
If it's SHIELD or a remnant there of, they would all already KNOW who the superheroes were. Remember Spiderman was a part of the fight in Captain America: Civil War. He was a part of the Sokovia (sic) accords. The people who deal with super heroes would KNOW who Peter was (and kept his secret). I also suspect that BECK already knew who Peter was because he was crafting his entire plan on Peter's personality and trust.

I'd be curious to know how Beck managed to convince shield that he is from another world because he would have achieved some level of recognition by working for Stark industries since he is shown to be just offstage when Tony does his Tedtalk, they could have easily solved this by either having him get plastic surgery and just show a different man in the past offstage or have Beck constantly use his own tech to alter his face. There is no way that he worked for Stark Industries and was the project lead on cutting edge holographic technology with no one seeing his face or hearing his voice, and if shield took a second and did a google search they would have gone with the most logical conclusion that it's probably more likely that beck is from our world and is using tech he invented instead of being a wizard from a different universe.
I think that Beck was able to sell them on how big a threat the elementals were that they didn’t even bother. Also he probably had his team work to distort or change any past images/video footage of him so no one could match him in the databases.
@@matthewriley7826 It just seems very odd that Nick Fury upon meeting him would not do an extensive background check or not already have previously had him under observation due to the advanced nature of his tech at the time Tony showed it off. The one thing that would make it make sense is isn't it revealed at the end of the movie that it was never the real Nick Fury but a skrull pretending to be him in his stead? If I'm remembering that right then it checks out because it's an alien trying to play the part of Nick Fury so he would be more easily manipulated due to him having limited experience on what's normal on earth.
But I think that works into his backstory. He feels like Stark, didn't appreciate him for his work, and never acknowledged it or him. He feels gipped out of the spotlight. Obviously he would have a plan predicated on people not knowing who he is. And the unfortunate reality was that he was right.

I really, REALLY hate Mysterio. He's easily one of the most unlikable MCU villains. A the end of the day, he's just two-bit con man who took advantage of Peter for his own personal glory, and then ruined his entire life out of spite when he lost. The ending of _No Way Home_ is completely his fault; because of him, Peter lost his friends, his girlfriend, his aunt, his home... everything. And that just burns me up.

It's not. Beck was lying about the whole thing, obviously. He just made up a number to make it seem like he was from a different universe. 616 was more likely an easter egg referencing the main comic book universe.

The films are adaptations of the comics, that's like getting mad that the Lord of the Rings takes place in Middle Earth in both the films and the books. 616 is the main universe in both the comics and the books, they're just separate mediums.
