@@Larry Larry ...? Whatchu doin' here? Anyway yeah I wish Gillette would redo the FatBoy and post WW2 razors. But they won't. They sold their specific machinery decades ago.

DE Safety Razor, quality shave soap, shaving brush, Skin Bracer aftershave. Works to perfection every time. No irritation or ingrown hairs. DE blades are cheap as chips compared to cartridges.
I cringed when I heard the guy say he uses those disposable cartridges for so long. The blades mounted in those plastic frames aren't particularly sharp to begin with. Compared to a DE blade, cartridge blades feel pre-blunted, as in blunt like a piece of broken glass.
All I can tell you is that they are frigging amazing! Check youtube, there are hundreds of videos about them and you'll quickly see just how superior to cartridges they are
DE razors are so much better than, 3, 4 or 5 blades. Give it a try a let me know if I'm right or not. Cartridge blades really sucks and they're so overpriced.

I am 16. And I use a DE Safety razor. I sometimes use an Electric double foil razor. And the only cartridge razor I use is a Gillete 2 blade razor. More blades = more irritation.
Cartridge gimmickry has reached new heights of absurdity, and cost! Traditional old school double edge safety razors and blades remain the best, most efficient, most eco-friendly, most affordable way to shave. Pennies a blade. And the cost of cartridges are insane, with nothing to actually justify it.

Hilarious this video was Gillette. Gillette has actually taken shaving backwards. They don't even make the great DE razors they used to make anymore. Instead they use these terrible cheap but expensive cartridge razors to maximize their profits. Using a DE safety razor gives you the best shave with no clogging or razor burn. Get yourself a good shave soap, blade, and razor that's all it takes. Get yourself a Rockwell 6c and start wet shaving.
Gillette is putting out marketing nonsense. Buy yourself a Merkur single blade safety razor and you will never need another razor handle. You'll be using disposable steel double edged razor blades which are around 15 cents each and will easily do 10 or more shaves. Stop the plastic use people. Save the oceans!
Nice video i use to use gillettes and braun electric shave and is not bad but is to expensive and i am went old school and never turning back and proud of it.
I shave with straight razors and safety razors. Bought like 100 of each for maybe 5 or 10 dollars? So thats like, 200 of them and itll last me an insane amount of time. For maybe 20 dollars.
When I'm in a hurry I use a cartridge razor, but almost always I use my DE razor (50's Gillette Superspeed). Cartridges are a scam nowadays. It's always some new gimmick (vibrating razors in the early 00's, now "flexball"....please...why did a SINGLE edge blade work for hundreds of years just fine?)
The techmatic razor practically ended Gillette run in the era of “ we don’t know what we’re doing “. But, the best alternative is the Mach 3 turbo or for enjoyment- a safety razor from the archives of Gillette or a modern safety razor from Merkur, Edwin Jagger, Parker or the New Rockwell 6 s or 6 c.
You see a lot of unshaven faces now day´s, like it´s Fab thing....but I wonder if it isn´t due to the poor shaving material that is offered to the public. It was my father who taught me how too shave with his Gillette DE Razor, he did not mind my useing his untill I went in the military where we all got Army Issue Saving Kits, a Gillette Slim Twist - 5-pack DE razors - 1can shaving cream. With our first pay check we hit the PX for more razors and a Timex Watch if we didn´t already have one. The first time I tried one of those Multi-Blade Razors it was so much pain I felt I just come out of the Ft. Lewis Gas Chamber after being forced to do a BBS Shave inspected by my Drill Sergent. Shaving should be a pleasure not a torture ordeal!
"you are both shaving with and against the grain" why does Gillette push this BS? I don't think there is one spot on my face like this. and even is the video, all the hairs were growing left to right on the screen (I think it was his cheek, so downward)
So this video raises an issue. There is a movement for shaving with a straight edge razor. Much of the motivation is because people shaved that way in the good old days. However if the reality is that people back then went to a barbershop to get their (straight edge) shave rather than shaving themselves then at least in part this shaving movement is based on a fantasy.
If its not broken don't fix it.
