Who would have known....? I learn so much from you! I had to laugh when you said it was thought give the razors away bc people have to spend the money on razor blades.....my dad used to say that about cameras! They should give the cameras away have to buy film and develop it! $$$ big money....this would have been in late 60s early 70s when Mom would get a new camera for Christmas! Lol thank you for sharing ....enjoy your series and all your videos😊kim
I found a straight razor metal detecting last year near an old one room schoolhouse site, I'm not as familiar with brands and part of the sheith is broken off. It's obviously not worth much but it's one of my favorite finds. I just love imagining the stories behind these peices. 🤓
Vintage Gillette is my favorite but I use everything from Traditional straights, Shavettes, DE’s, SE’s , kamasori’s and one thing you forgot to mention INJECTORS! Do you know like the old SCHICK ones? I have one from the 1930s that loads like a rifle lol. Badass
I could of went more in depth on multiple types of razors but maybe I’ll make a follow up video down the line addressing other companies. Thanks for watching Mike
o k....my lowly collection of consists of 2 straight from germany and america, 0ne safety wood boxed one from wilkison, a metal holder with one from gillette (traveler) and a one made in china for the frugal at heart...my bone of contention is trying to display the straights with blades out... set upon a mirror stand with a drawer to store (table top)...am looking for a displayer (small) for the straights...e-bay has some but shipping is outragious!! which is why i am still looking
I was looking forward to this video, I have a Gillette it says pat off 4 double edge, I have a gem micromate single edge, a schick injector no key to open single edge, n then nameless pat July 6 1909 single edge then I have two women razors a tiny one in lipstick tube, n a bigger one no name just says us Pat's 1806 087-1969 945 single edge. U should make a video on women's razors... then I have blades by: official, Smith, face guard sample, gem, crescent, Berkeley, n two box Gillette red blade in red box 10 blades for 35 cents. Lol still collecting.
Who KNOWS, with dirty dull reuseable blades and shaving a common barber shop event where you could count on getting cut, and With antibiotics not around Until The 40's , shaving was Probably hazardous
Another great one! Have a few! Will get them listed!
Thanks for watching

i am loving this 101 series! i would love to see one on fiesta ware, and maybe also fans. (hand held folding type)
Fiestaware is definitely on the list of videos coming so stay tuned 🙂🙂
Some of the razors are a work of art.In the film Crocodile Dundee,Mick uses his Bowie knife to show off
Didn't know there was this much history
Absolutely! Still waiting on some content from one of my favorite gaming UA-camrs?? ⏱️⏱️
Well I don’t ever think I’ve seen this video before! You should see my collection
I love your beard (my son has a beard, close cut but nice)and the sleeve less tshirt. It must be hot there.
It was warm today ☀️☀️
I have my great grandfather’s straight razor in the box. Box is worn a little. It’s a Giesen & Forsthoff 295 5/8. I would like to sell it

Sounds like a great collection with some interesting ideas for displaying! Good luck finding the pieces to complete your display

I'm amazed too...I'd grown up only hearing of Gillette, which is what my Dad bought.---Never shaved Mike? Surely you did when younger!
Haha yeah I did here and there when I was younger but was always a fan of facial hair 😂😂

Absolutely!
You do have a beautiful beard, never shave it off!
Thanks! 😁😁
