At our small store we could never close the deal on any of the higher priced items such as computers, audio, radios, and video. It was because we were only allocated one or two of each, so once we got the customer to a point they wanted to buy, we had to tell them they would have to take the display model. They almost always then said they’d drive 15 minutes down the road to the mall Z store and buy a new one there. The mall store folks that knew nothing technical would just ring up the sale. SO frustrating!
