Credit where credit is due: You inspired me to try shaking up my Zane build with your Gun F***ing Rocks series. You mentioned the Executor class mod, and you also covered the Clairvoyance, so my setup is a Re-Volter w/ ASS, It's Piss w/ ASE Corrosive, Jakobs Company Man w/ +50% Critical Damage, Executor w/ +14% Jakobs Weapon Damage +57% Jakobs Weapon Critical Damage, and my Clairvoyance is a semi-auto w/ 97k card damage and Barrier +125% Crit. I 1-tap everything that isn't a badass, most named enemies take 2-4 hits, and it is a blast.

Ive been using this build for a very long time. Its so good. I did want to say though I try really hard not to use any grenade skills, as I want my clone shooting as much as he can. Also, the clone ammo regen anoit is nothing to sleep on. Its extremely op.

RNG is such a pain in the ass sometimes. I got a vindicator ghast call my first run through heck at lvl72, but farmed traunt for 3 days and saw 1 kaoson. Yesterday I was doing slaughter shaft for eridium to reroll a combustor nova berner (double nova roll+nova berner) that i got by accident, and I ended up getting an engulfing super shredifier with x2 pellet count. Much like love, I seem to find what I want whenever I'm not looking for it.

Moxsy’s gear is not modded… all his gear is legitimate, there’s no funny business going on like illegal rolls or modded parts. I think what you were trying to say is it wasn’t obtained legitimately, which is correct. All the gear he shows in his videos CAN drop in game, but it obviously wasn’t obtained legitimately through farming as it would take thousands of hours farming for such god rolled gear. So yes, his gear is not modded, it’s legitimate gear that was obtained through a save editor.

This has been a game changer for me. Its the first time I've got Zane to level 72, and I really enjoy the game play. I threw a mesmer grenade on and had annointed fighting it out. It was hilarious. Thanks heaps Ki11er Six, back in love with the game.

As if its relevant here somehow. Ofc you dont need dmg anointments if you're using S tier guns, especially if you give them to clone. And revolter is absolutely not needed for anything in this game, its just 200% free dmg for doing nothing.

The thing about the Re-Volter is that it makes pretty much any gun an S tier gun tho. It also saves having to farm the perfect gear with all the perfect annointments and perfect tree to do endgame content.
Man of focus is so good with the lightshow. If you spam cannon you can get the spread really tight on the lighshow and that helps to give it more range. I think it's extremely underrated

I believe ThiccFilA or Moxsy said before that you can apply the ASE splash anoint bonus to clone with any gun that gets the anoint. As long as you’re holding a gun with the anoint and you activate cannon then your clone will get the bonus. Irregardless of what anoint clone has on the gun it’s holding, as long as it’s a splash weapon
Came here to say that too. It also affects nova shields like the frozen heart. So same build with ASE splash on Zane boosts Zane’s gun, clone’s gun and nova shield damage.

Zane has sooo many god damn builds i love. My fave is still probably the good ol all arounder speedy barrier build with redistributers. So fast and fun
Hey just wanted to say thanks! This build plus help from the legendary lootpedia helped me kill Hemovorus and takedown at the Maliwan black site.
I've been playing a mntis clone double barrel build since the release of DLC 5. Still my favorite Zane build. Some suggestions: Try a gatlin' clairvoyance - with Zane's increases to fire rate, it becomes one of his best weapons, and the clone's great with it too. Also, a spy with our man flynt and commitment on it is a great, great option for damage and utility (cryo guns will instafreeze on critical hit - essentially replaces brain freeze without having to put any points into green tree). I use cryo guns whenever possible due to this.

I love that I'm not the only one using this build. I actually use a toboggan as my artifact, and antifreeze as my class mod. I have a kick charger for bossing, flipper for mobbing and I have sandhawk and monarch for clone

I just started a zane a couple days ago coming from my amara and I definitely notice a difference between the two. Mained amara since the game dropped without trying anyone else out. Always thought she was strong and while she definitely is but zane blows past her. Did my first graveward run day before yesterday and I literally killed him in like 20 seconds with partial blue tree and ten points into red tree…. Still miss my amara and might play her again for shiggles but have her MH11 ready with god rolled gear and she clears everything with ease just it’s boring having done everything hence my desire to try out a new hunter

Finally got my Zane to level 72. Going to have fun with this build.
Made the switch over to this build and was finally able to beat Guardian takedown on 4 player difficulty with it. Always struggled on that takedown for some reason
Currently trying to farm a Seein' dead mod with assault rifle damage. Have one with shotgun damage and am using the butcher, but this build has made it easier to stay alive in most situations.

Was thinking of trying this with consecutive hits anoints on light show and sand hawk, and rocking the drone and clone at the same time for maximum battlefield control.
Wow, this is awesome. I'm definitely re-specing my Zane when I get home. And then I'm going to finish up all the side stuff and DLC to farm all that stuff.
Was having a spot of bother with mayhem 11 and this build made it quite a bit better.

I have leveled all 4 characters using Ki11er's guides and geared them using his builds and recommended gear. My favorite toon is Zane and I have cleared all content at mayhem 11 including proving rounds, slaughterhouse and all bosses. The thing that makes this build so strong is the clone and mantis cannon. I have a revolter with anointment. "on action skill start, activate any effects that trigger on shield break or fill." This means every mantis cannon blast you get the fast shooting and damage bonus of the revolter.

I am at the beginning of the game and the build, so what about ammo? The consumption is pretty high, right?
@@tobireindl To be honest the build is aimed at end game and beating the hardest content. Early on I think I just used a leveling build I found somewhere. I wouldn't worry too much leveling wise but do note some of the guns used in end game you can get early once you unlock dlc so choose those the dlc with the suggested guns early. End game ammo is fine and not an issue at all.

Soulrender(Ammo Regen) or Blood Starved Beast, give a Sand Hawk to your clone, grab your hustler/(that one with lots of buffs on kill) + Dahl company man and you're done
Hi K6 - I'm hoping to use this build in conjunction to a Dahl Allegiance playthrough and have a few questions!
1. Instead of the lightshow, which Dahl weapon(s) would you recommend as a good alternative? (I will have the Sandhawk for my clone as that's Dahl thankfully!).
2. Is the thought generally that Executor is better than Seein' Dead if you have the same stat bonuses for a build like this? Would be happy to farm both if it's situational but class mods are often the core of a build so want to make sure I'm using the recommended one!
3. What are the ideal stat bonuses for the class mod to look out for when farming?
Have only recently subscribed but I am working my through all your playthroughs and loving them - keep them coming!

Executor is the best for damage. Seein Dead is best for keeping action skill up

Hey K6, ive just started playing borderlands again thanks to you, always love your videos and have done since BL2, this build and recently watching your other video for best items for zane, and it works! Normally ive had ammo trouble with zane, with the 30% ammo regen anointment really helps, one weapon ive used alot is the OPQ system, ive havent got the announcements yet so using that whilst i farm i love it. This is actually the build i started running a while ago (with a few differences for more damage). i've been loving it and it's crazy fun because you can make really any gun viable, and you can also switch to the antifreeze and a tobaggon and use a kickcharger any time and use it to slap bosses (similar to moxsy's cold runnings zane build).
What have you changed about the build?
@@ssxlfless4378 Mainly for the skill trees, so Ill go by tree. Orange I don't use borrowed time, as once ur a high enough level cooldowns are so small that duration doesn't really matter. I put 5 into Duct tape grenade mod (using the mesmer could be better but for the memes). 1 point into pocketful of grenades bc the clone consumes grenades, and instead of supersonic man I use trick of the light, since 45% bonus damage when something isn't targeting you is pretty solid. / Purple Tree I have all 5 points into man of focus, none into headsmans hand, 5 into commitment and then I use fugitive. Blue tree is basically the same. For gear I generally run the spy instead of the seein dead since it gives a lot more damaging skills, a capstone and the same extra effect plus 8 seconds duration.
I started watching you 2 days ago with your ultimate amara series and some zane videos. aswell as playing bdl3 after 2 years and i will try this build and hope it is still good!

I'm a big fan of this build. I know boresplosion is technically better, but that just requires too much APM that I don't have anymore. This is a great high level build that doesn't require fast fingers to run.
I'm curious though how long it took you to farm that Ice Breaker with + cyro damage/efficiency stats. That has to be the god roll on that item.
Got it while hunting the God Roll Re-Volter.
Been using a similar build but with a stop gap with Action skill start. Don’t know why that’s slept on now… cannon makes you effectively immortal.
Try but so does shooting your gun as Zane.

I love zane so much. When I first played I didn't have dlc and I used sentnl and clone. And now I have dlc I use shield and cannon and both are so viable and so good

I've been doing a blind build for myself and im not max level yet and my build that I did was same as yours for level 45.
But I've put one point on fugitive in the hitman skill tree. I just wonder if it makes a difference with violent momentum or its just a waste.

I want to file an official complaint. Ever since I sunscribed to Ki11ler Six I have an increased MOAR Linoge droprate, from basegame to dlc. This is not ok and I wont stand for it.
Same here, got the same with Joltz and the gub, every time I watch one of his videos while playing BL2 I get a gun drop.

(I'm late as hell to the party but) I switched to Zane and I wonder why I've been suffering with Amara since launch (of course my Amara can now totally destroy EVERYTHING with Ties That Bind etc, but Zane makes QUICK WORK of it all. Nice build and setup.

@@tobireindl Speaking as a long time main of both, Zane is more enjoyable late game. Moze basically gets all of her damage from Iron Bear or weird grenade interactions late game. Zane on the other hand is just a lightspeed maniac.

Did you just go to mayhem 11 and start killing? Or did you work your way up till you got to the top and then farmed for the best gear per build?
usually I switch to M11 and grab what I can from Vendors, then go down to lower Mayhems and level up to 72. Then Katagawa Jr for the Sandhawk at max level. Then I let the Clone use those to help me farm most everything else.
I had some good gear, hit 72 and went to 11 and started getting the new stuff from season pass 2. Starting to match what you do on the videos. Thank you for the info.

Be nice to see a Zane build that doesn't require the cannon. Big reason I quit playing Zane is everything requires the cannon.
You can do this same build with the SNTL. Just have to despawn the clone frequently to trigger Action Skill start or end effects

Is it even possible to have a meta-type Zane build that utilizes Drone and Clone?
Yes, one that comes to mind is a Seein' Dead build with drone and clone. Cryo rounds and bad dose augments for drone, doppelbanger and which one's real for clone. Capstone blue and red tree, and grab headsman's hand and commitment from purple. Run sntl cryo and clone active 30% ammo regen anointments depending on the weapon. Keeping your health up depends mostly on points in salvation, and since you're not using cannon, the seein dead class mod proccing your kill skills fills that need. In red tree, spec "Trick of the light" to work with the "which one's real" augment, so that you get extra dmg when enemies aren't targeting you. Adversely, use the mesmer grenade instead of the augment. Shield choice is mostly up to you, but I would use a shield that synergizes with the sntl cryo anointments and cryo rounds augment, so the frozen heart/frozen snowshoe is probably best.
Absolutely. Drone is amazing and you can use the Clone augment to despawn it. And respawn it.

This is unrelated to the video but I need some advice: how do I enjoy playing the first Borderlands? I started on BL2 back in 2012 and never played the first till the remaster came out. I've tried several times to get into it with all 4 characters and I can never make it more than a few hours before I get bored with it. How do you make your BL1 playthroughs fun with the lack of advancements of brought on by BL2 and BL3? Is it nostalgia or am I missing something?
Personally I don’t. I played it through on the Remaster and it wasn’t horrible but like you I was bored pretty quick.
Its a nostalgia thing. I played the game when it first came out and loved it, but it does not age well at all.
I'm just coming up from 65 now. I usually use clone/drone. My clone wields an electric backburner and I wear killavolt's shield so I can stand in the electricity and fight. My own weapon, I alternate between light show and kaoson. Would this work at all at 72?

managed to get a recurring hex with the ASE 50% cryo anointment but the hex is shock and not cryo. I also got a MIRV cryo but with a worse anointment and wondering which was better for the build? Also aside from splash damage and action skill damage which perks would you recommend to farm for on the executor mod if I can't get those drops
You can reroll anointments on sanctuary

Strongly suggest you trying 5/5 +3 on cryo wepon swap with kickcharger and toboggan it wrecks bosses as if they were skag pups

This build nearly got me through the hemovorous the invincible boss fight on mayhem 10 difficulty (had to swap gear around of course cus I kept running out of ammo) an made it to the last sliver of health an went down clone went down immediately after an there wasn't any ads to res me (using a stop gap shield to help with the insta death in some parts)
You should play on Mayhem 11. It removes the modifiers and keeps all the benefits of M10 (despite what it says on the Mayhem cards)

How is he regenning ammo like crazy? Not even ripping through the magazine. Haven't played in a while and just picked it back up, looking forward to playing again.
There’s a certain anointment that will grant 30% ammo regen per second. Oh yeah, it’s active when the clone is alive, and with Seein’ Dead you can keep firing. Unless your shield goes down with the Re-Volter, then you’ll fire too fast for the ammo regen to catch up…
I’m doing clone and drone. I don’t really understand how to perfectly stack stats but what do you guys think about the two abilities?
