Might have to try this. I recently purchased O'douds matte paste after not owning any for a while and was a bit disappointed with the new formula. It's much drier in my hair and the scoop is a lot more tough compared to the original. The scent is not as good either, but I can easily get passed that
This dry wax is the mvp of the brand! It's truly amazing. Became my daily drive along with the new crafted matte paste from the collaboration between the salon guy and flagship. They're both fantastic
@@rummanrashid996 to me, I liked the hold on this dry wax. It worked very well. However, crafted gives you a much more natural look, as dry was is more "waxy". Hold wise, I liked crafted better. A pinch goes a long way as a pre styler too with crafted. And then 1 scoop as a post, and you're good for the day. Especially if you have fine hair, crafted will make it look much more dense
Sounds like Arcadian Matte Paste..with the ‘stickiness’..which I find perfect along with O’douds Matte Paste. LOOKS - like a heavier version of Uppercut Easyhold or perhaps their Featherweight.
sound like the „real“ odouds matte paste. maybe i‘ll give it try later. odouds matte paste & nothern lights was very disappointing for me. Sold both. Did you ordered Fortes Clay?
I have not ordered a Fortes clay, no interest in the product. It’s essentially just another rehash of Cavalier/claymation/Baxter California. Although I haven’t really looked into it. CEO from Blumaan simply jumped ship to make Fortes.
With short hairstyles, will drywax is enough as stand-alone product ? If you ever need to use prestyle and finish with this dry wax product, is Black water a good choice? And if we use Black water as pre and drywax as finish, will the hair significantly different compare to only use drywax ? Many thanks and this is enjoyable video for people with short hair like me.
Really depends on the style, hair type, and the demands you put it through. I find that it passes most of my tests, it’s not OB levels of endurance but above average
My current go-to's are Arcadian Matte Paste and Templeton Oasis Clay. Is this worth getting in addition to those? My style currently is a textured quiff. Thanks man!
Imo, arcadian mp is the complete package. Very consistent and long lasting hold. However when using the o’douds mp in conjunction with their dry wax (see my comment above) it brings their mp one step closer to working as well as arcadian mp. But don’t get me wrong..o’douds mp is great solo or whatever combo used with other product(s). A bit dryer of a product than arcadian mp..the extra moisture in the arcadian mp helps hold things together. So the o’douds wax fills that void somewhat when use with their mp would best explain it👍🔥
Originally tried this with longer hair and was a fail..seriously accentuated spots my hair that needed trimming; in particular areas of sloppy excess curl. Worked much better on second attempt, and in combination with their matte paste (applying the wax first, 2 dabs, comb through then same amount of mp and final comb through👌). Curious if anyone else has tried this, and if in reverse sequence with the mp first then the wax..?
American crew Fiber is a sub par product with very little hold. Dry wax is far superior in every way. Note, I used American crew Fiber for a while before switching to home brew products
Cool review. I look forward to try this out, but you said in the Vid this was an Oil based. but the 1st Ingredient is water. maybe you meant otherwise.
Mh have mixt feelings about it. The endurance wasn't the greatest. 6-8 hours. The hair felt waxy. And there was almost too much texture. Every hair was pointed out on me. the volume of my hair was really bad on me. But the smell is nice. Application also nice. And ingredients and packaging. I thing this works better on fine hair and straight hair.
Yes my hair is short, but as I describe in the video, I just got a haircut and I have experience with it with longer and short hair. Let me know if you have any questions and I appreciate the support!
Everyone has different hair types. This is just one review for THIS hair style. I'm sure once Matt from TDM Style reviews it, it will be completely different.

I have Arcadian matte paste, but I prefer this o'douds dry wax by far! Way better hold & lighter in the hair in my opinion

Some comparisons to Arcadian MP, great product but it’s up to you to decide

Do you think it would hold a quiff for hair a bit longer than your hair in this video?
It’s strong enough for that for sure, however I think the matte paste would still be more ideal
Nice review, how this wax is compared to american crew fiber ? Better ?
American crew Fiber is a sub par product with very little hold. Dry wax is far superior in every way. Note, I used American crew Fiber for a while before switching to home brew products
Rice bran wax is trendy right now.
my hair is very thick.....can i get the firm or strong hold??
How does that relate to Dry Wax?
@@SlickBackSunday i meant can I get high hold with the dry wax? need your opinion on it
Anything hold related is covered in the video 👍
Cool review. I look forward to try this out, but you said in the Vid this was an Oil based. but the 1st Ingredient is water. maybe you meant otherwise.
I said it washes out easier than an OB, double check and thanks for the support!
Solid!

Everything you’ve detailed is essentially what a wax product is made to do. Definitely not my favourite category of pomade
@@SlickBackSunday mmh I learned something 😂. Great chanel by the way.
@@monaco308308 My hair is very thick(asian)
Can it provide strong hold? How is the pliability?
@@rummanrashid996 Hi it does hold but expect a moderate hold not super strong or weak.
@@monaco308308 U mean it has medium hold for thicker hair!.....but it advertised as strong hold??
I think its waterbased .. great review
You are correct
Your hair very very short. So this review maybe not right!!!
