Postville Fire Dept. is responding mutual aid to another town for a fire. Units responding in order are:
511 - Engine
512 - Engine/Tanker
521 - Tanker
562 - Rescue

That siren doesn't sound as healthy as it used to be. Sounds like the top damper is stuck open while the low damper works properly.

Yep. High-tone solenoid needs to be rewound/unstuck.

Does every town in Allamakee Co. run a fire siren? I was in Lansing and heard they’re siren go, greetings from a fire dept in west central IA.

I believe there are only a few. But I’m not 100% sure. We use it mostly for larger calls. But it does go off at 12 and 6 every day as a test.
