Tbf I think that pairing is fitting, given Crowler is the one that gives Chumley the permission he needed to work with Pegasus at industrial illusions. I kinda feel like Crowler has some respect for Chumley and is proud that he found his way in the dueling world.
Best Yu-Gi-Oh! GX Tag Force partner sounds like a "nicest guy in prison" type of title, and me and my popcorn are glad to see that the runtime of this video seems like it'll prove that assumption right.
Fun fact about Camula: She shares a voice actor with Jesse Anderson in the original Japanese dub (Kanako Irie) and there's an tag force in-universe joke in the 3rd game where they tag up in one of the common duelist 2 routes, just because. Great yugioh challenge vid. And yeah the tag force 1-3 partner's AI sucks. I guess they're the most competent only in tag force special.
Ah yes, my favorite deck idea. “I have 5 monsters in my deck. Everything else exists to make sure they get on the field and stay there.” You didn’t go that extreme but it’s a step in the right direction for it.
Yeah I think maybe part of the struggle with this challenge is that it's not really a deck strategy I'm well versed in so it could stand to be more optimised but I also like to make my decks silly / fun half the time just because 😆
Ah yeah that's actually intentional, for some reason the UA-cam algorithm works better on videos when you don't publish it to the subscribers feed (something about how because not that many people use the subscription feed, it considers the video to have a low click through rate when not watched by every single one of your subscribers its weird and dumb I know) Maybe they changed / fixed it, i'll have to try re enabling it again
Thanks :D Yeah, I've got a little more time on my hands now so I can turn around the vids faster XD And I tried to trim this one down a bit more in the tournament arc section, so rather than showing every single duel even if not a lot happens, I only show the best bits of the ones we win and any losses, keeping the narrative still coherent but helps a lot to condense the overall vid XD

I've never played any of the Yugioh games save for Forbidden Memories and... well... that game doesn't exactly test your knowledge/dueling skills, at least the ones you normally use. I've started playing the Tag Force games thanks to ur content, and 1 through 3 are honestly such a good bridge from the era right after Goat to early Synchros, which was where I personally fell off with YGO. It's been a blast seeing how past me wouldve evolved through the series thanks to u!
from my experience in tagforce 3 sometimes the ai plays well. sometimes they do dumb shit blair in tagforce 3 will ALWAYS use the judgement dragon effect if able. which is cool but not if your board is literally loaded
I’ve been playing Tag Force 5 lately and not getting to see your ally’s hand is so weird. It’s really hard to set up combos for your partner when you’re just going on faith that they can use whether you set.
I do love her, even after this ordeal, I wish we got to see more of her because I feel like none of the characters were really phased by the whole "Vampires exist btw" thing
I know right? I feel the revelation that vampires were real and then utterly wiped out in 3 episodes is a bit baffling. It was just "Hey vampires are real." And then immediately afterwards as like "Welp they don't exist anymore."
Good memories of Tag Force. I still stand that the best partner is Sadie. Her strategy is solid, her deck has lots of flip/burn strats (so it cooould be better but it's all around a solid deck) and she has no problem going for Solar Flare Dragon beatdown if given the chance. One of the few AIs I dont try to "foolproof" my deck from (which is usually a Horus deck in 1, or a Demise deck if I'm feeling fancy)
To be fair her wins in the anime weren't really legit. It had Kaiba "Surrender or I jump off this bridge" energy but instead it's sacrificing someone else's life lol (wow that is not something I should lol at out of context)
Oh yeah you're right and wasn't her victory against crowler because she cheated and he bricked anyways 😆 Maybe she was never good lmao and Zane was the reason her duel is hard...
45:02 bastion isn't that bad as a partner the only problem is the waterdragon in the deck, but it has good cards to control the field like penguin soldier.
These videos have convinced me to play Tag Force for the first time(on my legally acquired copy of the game on the PSP that I very much own cough cough) I have gotten distracted trying to get everything card I have access to on the first day
I got here with the forbidden memories gameplays, but now I enjoy every video more than the last, this is high quality content of yugioh games no much people pay attention.

@@DaiyaBeatus the tag force ai really does have awkward support tendencies, i don't know how many times i've set up a perfect board only to let an opponent lose by deck out because i didn't score the final hit, tag force 3 is when the ai starts to be consistently better about this, and tag force special has really bloodthirsty ais, when given a cancerous combo deck.
Watching this. i have to wonder. Do the AI's hamper themselves depending on your relationship with them? I am remembering the right game where you improve your relationship with the npc's and your perspective dueling partners right?
Only the main cast have the relationship thing, and it needs to be maxxed to partner with them. But that would actually be a brilliant idea that better relationship = higher synergy
Legacy of the Duelist does this crap all the time You'll lose the RPS and then they'll top deck their heavy combo within the first 5 turns But if you get rid of it you basically win, I use red eyes to spam high levels to counter it

I have wondered how the decision making works in these older games for the ai. If there is a glitch that limits the the decision tree or if it can't clear ram properly. Basically, can you create such a long log the the ai opponent can't make proper decisions

Sup diaya as the guy who taught you the rent glitch and been on like 4 of your streams and you referred me to me I want to correct 1 thing you said on the Yugioh tag force 2 video. Adrian gecko’s win condition in the anime is a cloud beat down, exodia hand win, and exodius beat down/effect win and no exodia necross.
Also the tag ai seems to base it strategies around your deck cards and poor coding for negate (it seems to not have no priority tier and only affectable targets list)
My personal theory for the AI is that they nerfed it so it wouldn't "steal" wins from players. That's the only logical reason I can think of for these plays...

Last time i played Tag force i would that Anti-Spell Fragance really messes with the AI. All the AI will just set all their spells and not activate them. It also works on your partner so you can make them give you all there good spells to abuse.
She’s no Fonda Fontaine but she aight. In tag force special the field spells don’t give a CG background anymore. That’s cause the field spell rules changed where playing a field spell doesn’t destroy your opponents field spell they both can exist on the field at once. So there’s no great way of doing the 3d backgrounds. I actually hardly ever played any tag force 1. Not anywhere close to finishing it. Played a bit more tag force 2 but never finished much of that. Played a ton of tag force 3. Completed every unique characters story there and a bunch of generic ones. Looking at these older ones the inclusion of synchros was definitely a positive.
@ yeah and if you didn’t already know because I forgot to say all CG were removed. Monster summon and attack animations and character animations. There’s still some voice lines but they just come out of the portraits. Not only that but you can only partner with certain characters not everyone. And there’s no exploration it’s a massive step down from the prior games. Tag force 3 and 6 are still the best ones imo. Mimicry’s strongest deck is kinda insane in tag force 3 although it’s not as consistent as it could be so it can still brick. Legacy of the duelist is even worse I wish I could refund that it’s so low effort.
I have so many ideas for who to do next honestly XD Not sure where to start but will probably be looking to cross off some of the main characters off the list first so we can access Sadie / Dorothy sooner
Yeah, the AI in this game is definitely stacked against you. Top decking when playing against while bricking/misplay when partnering with you. I Literally build my first deck to be a full negate deck with spell, trap, monster, and omni negate + negate special summon dark ruler vangadragon for instant 2800atk monster or gravity bind with spirit of flame direct attack build up. It works every time cause the AI weakness is literally stall, burn, and stun deck while playing a "fair" or normal deck against them is literally impossible with all of their out and top decking
Yup, seems strange you need to build around beating the ai, not buildi a deck that's actually good 😆 Still fun but definitely annoying how obvious the top decking can be

The ai is better, but it can still throw on occasion. It's only ever happen to me I think twice so it's thankfully quite rare.
