Firstly, I'm sorry for your loss. I'ma wedding photographer and I always have a sprite and a snack on deck because most brides don't have enough to eat on the day. It ruins the whole mood when you can barely stand! There are a lot of emotions going on, so it can make anyone feel overwhelmed. I can also note, that a Good wedding quoordinator is priceless! If you don't have one your other vendors suffer and the couple often end up frustrated when things don't magically "happen" on the day.
Yes! My wedding planner was literally everywhere at the same time. She was an angel sent from heaven haha And bless you for having snacks handy. So smart! I’m sure you’ve learned from experience lol

Ashley! Yes! This is so common! I was not nauseous but for the first 2 hours of the reception my feet kept cramping! They did not stop! Literally Every Toe kept cramping. I think it was because I didn't drink enough water that day. I was upstairs in the bridal suite with my sister and my husband came up and said everyone kept asking where I was. Every time I wanted to walk, all of my toes kept cramping and I couldn't deal with the pain. Finally I threw on some flip flops and drank a ton of water and I was ok to head back down.
Congratulations again on your wedding! I hope you and Ryan take away more good memories than not so good ones. It sucks to get sick on a such a special day. Also, my condolences to you and your family on the loss of your gram. I'm glad she at least had the dream of you being at your wedding. I'm sure she was over the shoulders of all those she loved. Also with the nausea/dizziness, a tip for other brides cause it’s so common to be too nervous to eat that day: the best remedy is to eat something light, like fruit, to bring your blood sugar back up. I struggle with hypoglycemia and it feels SO BAD to force any food down, but it’s the only thing that’ll make you feel better long-term. I’m glad you were able to get back out there and enjoy the rest of the reception though! Your love story is so beautiful 💜

I always experience nausea that you explained, and with the dizziness too. Food just feels like the worst thing, and even while eating you really don't want to. But it always helps, you should have eaten a banana or drank lemon/lime water. It usually disappears after 2-5 hours, just in case it happens to you again. You looked great in your dress btw!
I’m sorry this happens to you often. It was the worst. You’re right about not wanting food. I actually put a piece of bread in my mouth and had to spit it out because I couldn’t swallow it 😖

I can totally relate to the odd feeling post wedding. It's nice to have your time back, but it's a weird void at the same time. I planned my wedding twice, back-to-back after the first had to be cancelled (hurricane), so when it was done I forgot what it felt like to not have a wedding to plan.

The same thing happened to me at my wedding! Its so weird, I think it was nerves and anxiety from being the center of attention. We sat down to eat our dinner at the reception and all the food smells made me so nauseas. I ended up not eating any of the food or dessert the entire reception. Luckily the venue was sweet and packed some up for me and I had it the next day when I felt fine.
Honey, you don’t have nothing to worry about😊 your wedding wasn’t as perfect as you wanted, I get it and it’s normal, BUT you’ve got married!!! And that’s the important thing, you’re married with the one that you love the most🥳
You may have had a little case of vertigo. It can be caused by an inner ear disturbance. Long periods of time being sedentary (air travel), dehydration, and other things can cause it.
