      Yes, I love Rabea's guitar tone for the Toska and Dorje stuff, but he doesn't exactly have an affordable rig, so I'm curious to know what he'd buy to get his sound if he only had 1500 quid.

    • @andrewharper1609
      @andrewharper1609 5 років тому +3

      The Beatles might be a tough one. Not sure if Andertons stock 12string Rickenbacker guitars. They used Vox amps live AC80 if I remember rightly. Both John and George used lots of different guitars though. As well as the aforementioned rickys George had a blue Strat he was known for and John had the Epiphone Casino he recorded Revolution on. That's just to name a couple.

    • @RC32Smiths01

      @@andrewharper1609 Ahh that is definitely true. The Beatles has some of the most diverse and unique sounds, tones, and eras in their catalog. But they have managed to pull it off before, I think they could do it again

    • @andrewharper1609
      @andrewharper1609 5 років тому

      @@RC32Smiths01 I suspect the best option would be some sort of electric twelve, I know Fender do one if they don't have the Rickenbacker (apparently Rickenbacker only do limited production runs each year so they tend to be in short supply) and I'd probably go with either the tribute Epiphone or a Gibson ES335. My reasoning would be that the 12 is a hard sound to replicate and the high end Gibson is massively more expensive than the high end strat and we are going for busting the bank here. That said they don't seem to do anything involving 12 strings which is a real shame just got one and fallen in love with the nice noises it makes.

    Here's an idea, considering that the katana really is that good at purt near everything, why not make that a twist on all of the videos? In one corner is always the katana with patches, in the other, a different amp and pedal setup that could potentially fit the more specific sound of any given artist better. Because clearly katana is king of versatility, but when it comes to specifics and little nuances, is it as good as a more purpose built, less versatile setup?

    Awesome :D Only thing i would add is a wah pedal for Matt, and expression pedal for "Rababes" (there is a exp. pedal input on the footswitch, i guess you can control wah/volume/etc. with it)

    Hey guys, big fan. You often mention how easy or difficult it is to dial in the sound you are looking for. I think it would be cool if you could dedicate two or three minutes each video going over that process. Let us hear some of the rejects, and see how y’all tinker.

    The Katana with the GAFC is pretty much the reigning King for "without busting the bank" amp choices. I have tube amps, but I have a Katana head. For what it is, it's a damn good value.

    Thought it would be worth mentioning that in the video the Katana foot switch is only utilized to access 4 channels however with the latest updates you can hold the 'panel' button down for a second to access another 4 channels (so 8 able to be accessed).

    Ok...here’s an idea I’d love to see....Ultimate Versatility Rig. Put together rigs that will cover everything from Rock, Metal, Country, Blues, Jazz,......using the least amount of gear possible!! You could go budget or bust the bank if you want. Interested to see what kind of rigs you’d put together.

    I love the budget rig episodes, to change them up it would be radd if you kept your guitars, and swapped rigs at the end, I think that would highlight the individual guitars in a way I’m always curious about.
    Always great work, keep it up, onward.

    I can attest that the epiphone is awesome, The playability, feel, weight its very good, I only upgraded the pickups and to be honest this might sound crazy but i sold my 3 gibson LP's and kept the epiphone. I don't know if I got lucky and bought a really good one, but now I have several thousand dollars by selling the gibsons. One downside to that epiphone though is it has a little neck dive... but it's not a big deal since it's so light and slim, it's barely an inconvenience.

    Squier Classic Vibe Strat + Boss Katana = $550 USD which is 450.49 pounds. With the extra £50 grab yourself a tone city golden plexi to push the sound during something like a solo and you'll have yourself one kick-ass rig for under £500! (Granted the katana and the squier seem to be pricier in the UK so this would go over budget but in the US you could get this rig for that price)

    Some really good tones guys. I have the 40w version of the Fender, and I'm regretting not getting the Katana as much as I like the Champion. It would be cool if you did Sounds Like The Police (also covering Sting's bass tone).

    You guys at Anderton's are just too cool. love the content and the zany way you guys do things always entertaining however I will say that the sounds like crew is a bit more on the serious side than the Chapper's and the Captain shows. Not that that should be seen as a bad thing at all. At some point it would be great to see the four of you do a gear review jam session together. Cheers fellas!
