You seem to have technial knowledge, but I wish you had a more strategic application of your knowledge. There are so many red flags with your topic. First the subject needs major context, both historical and social. Historically, these technical efforts have been tried from Tuskegee, to Peace Corps, Acheapong's "Operation Feed Yourself" even Nkrumah's call for African American technical training in the early 50's Historically , migrations based on negative pressure have always failed. These included Sierra Leone, Chicago; Gary, Ind; Liberia, etc. Socially, African Americans and Haitians have avoided agricultural pursuits. African Americans rejected the teachings of George Washington Carver and fled to the city where they lived in urban ghettoes with poor schooling. Haitians had the opportunity to study abroad for centuries and chose to study government and sociology rather than agricultural technology to develop their country. Every culture has their obsessions, their biases, preferences, etc. Without question, tranquil rural life and fascination with flora and fauna are not the preferences of the Diaspora. Partying in the city, flexin, flashin, cursing, disrespectin', down playing important information, dressin fancy, non-chalantness are much more prevalent. Perhaps you lack much experience with the diaspora - especialiy in the States, and assume they are all like Ghanaians. They are not. Ghanaians, from independence were given a course of sciences to build their country. This is not the case for 97% of the diaspora. It pains me that you assume you are selling books to perhaps European people who have a basis and interest for technical topics. What you do not realize is that the foundation of the diaspora has not even been laid , i.e. what is a community, what are the obligations of society members, what topics are essential to learn. What you present is premature and you would not be able to make the case that your audience is genuiely interested or ready to receive the information.
I agree with you on the tiling in Ghana they will be selling beautiful houses with no green space whatsoever everything is paved over I just don't understand it. It's a real turn off for me.
Oppression feed yourself indeed. You’re right, I don’t understand why most Ghanaians don’t grow their own food for good health and save money? Too many concrete houses, and not enough care for nature which also makes the environment beautiful .
Consider growing ground nuts, beans and gungo peas for protein. The unoccupied land can be filled up with banana and plantain trees and the butternut squash and water melons, and melons can be planted in between the trees. Mushrooms are best grown in a cool sterile enclosure with good air flow and light though not direct sunlight. Very profitable I heard.
Asher you are right on most Ghanaian homes tiled; seriously it worries me anytime I come home. I have refused to tiled my mum’s; she was very angry calling me 🇬🇧stingy but now she’s enjoying her own grown variety of food. Growing up as a child in🇬🇭 vegetables and fruits were very common in our neighbourhood so you can help yourself here and there when the need arises. Thanks for sharing.
I live in China, and I have been longing and hoping to one day have my own FARM and grow my organic food. Because the amount of GMO food in circulation here is alarming 😢😢😢
Your garden looks very green and lush. Growing your own food is the way to go because it leads to self-sufficiency and better health. Each year I grow a large garden. I feel so sad when the winter comes and I have to go back to purchase greens and veggies in the grocery store. I always look forward to spring again when I can start growing my organic and tasty food again plus you save so much money when you grow your own food.
Yep I endorse the narrative of being self sustaining as much as possible. As a result I bout a3/4 acre plot to live on and farm. Wish me luck. I’m gonna need it. 👊🏾
You can grow your butternut squash on your wall around your garden. Run some wire along the wall and let it climb. Support the fruits as they get heavy.
Listen to what this man just said. Keep some land for growing food and don't remove the green landscapes. Keeping a colorful landscape around a home always add value.
Your garden is really full of crops. The plantains are big. Oh yes ugu very good for soup.. It's fluted pumpkin. I just like yams and potatoes. I started my ginger this week. All rooted and pitted today.
I'm with you, absolutely despise anything GMO. Living in the U.S., I read the labels of everything I buy. I ask questions a lot, and if it's not organic or Non-GMO I ain't buying it. A lot of people take it lightly. I think they will take it serious if they knew what GMO would do to them in the long run. Good job for what you're doing and shedding light on it
Why have I been missing you guys videos? I thought that I elected to receive notifications for all your videos. Anyway, glad to see you guys again ❤ from the 🇺🇸
I'm proud of you and just loving the home farm, I hope one of these local TV media stations will stop by and show case it,please can you film the farm again and take your time,I'm really into farming and this just awesome
Could you consider raised beds using planks of wood as they do in urban farming? It will save space and be organised. There are more advantages so research.
Dear Family i am very much interested in the Land you just Advertised i live outside Ghana and has been trying to reach the contact you gave but there isn't an answer to my call can you please assist
WOW NICE.Look how fast your plants and food crops have grown.I see some Diaspora farms in other parts of Africa for many years and still their food crops like banana and Plantain are NOT HALF the SIZE of YOURS.Well done
@@kingstal90 Hi,can you do a BREAKDOWN video of the FINAL TOTAL COST of your MANSION.Just the building costs minus the furnishings, electronics etc etc.
Hi I'm new here. I'm in the process of starting my organic homestead and the coconut husk is a great idea, thank you. I was wondering what to use for my paths.
Its the best way to sustain ourselves unfortunately the youth dont want to be active in farming work. But want to live luxurious lifestyle without working towards it.
Does the Ghanaian govt know about storm water runoff. Why would they allow citizens to tile/concrete their entire property and then wonder why flooding is an issue. So sad.
Thank you for sharing my dear brother, this great Episode is very interesting from you, but my brother i wached your Videos you said you are also eletrician, please why you don't sharing solar panel for help small scales. Do me faviour don't sad. Thanks
