Love all your videos! I've been following along and you have been helping me understand Pinterest so much! I'm just starting but have had one pin get 41 saves so far and grew my email list by almost 100 in the last 30 days! Please keep these videos coming they are awesome!
Your channel is a Pinterest goldmine. Currently binging all your videos! Amazing content! You can tell you used to be a teacher!! The way you present information is so clear and effective. Thank you so much!
Thank you SO much for subscribing, and thank you for your kind words! Glad to hear it was helpful. If there's anything else in the future you'd like me to cover, please let me know! ☺
It's amazing to me how little views/subscribers you currently have. It's certainly not because of the quality of the content, which is great. I have no doubt your channel will grow. Good job
Thank you so much for your kind words about my content! I got a microphone so I'm slowly working on improving the quality :) I know UA-cam takes time to grow, but I'm going to stay consistent! Comments like yours help me keep going! Thank you!
I just heard you on the "How to sell your stuff on Etsy" podcast and have implemented some of your tips in my Etsy shop already. I sell SVGs for crafters so I created a board specifically called Lollipop Holders. Thanks for sharing your info.
So sorry it was hard to follow! I will say they update things quickly. Are you perhaps in another country other than the US? Is there a specific question I can answer for you since this was hard to follow?
Yes you can, but you have to actually create a pin of that image and put it in the board first Then go back and edit the board and it allows you to pick an image which you can pick from pins within your board or you can pick the pin that you created with the graphic image of your Pinterest board Keep in mind though Pinterest is very visual, so if you’re going to create your own covers, try to create your covers with people in them or items with a text overlay Just text a white background People usually are very visual on Pinterest, which is why I personally like to use somebody else’s amazing photography as my Pinterest board cover
@@emileevales I think you got most of it covered! Btw I like your channel/brand visuals but the sound quality is a a bit of a let-down and kind of drags down the overall impression and doesn't do justice to the quality of the content and info you upload
Hi Emilee, I can't understand the board naming part for sid hustle for mom. (What you referred to less saturated and how to find) Can you explain clearly?
@@Nivee323 essentially, you just want to find a balance between specific and broad names for your Board titles. If they're too broad (the Board Names) then they will be really saturated most likely with searches, and harder to rank for, but if you make the Board Title a little more specific, you'll increase your chances of your Board ranking. Let me know if this helps?
For business owners marketing on Pinterest, if you have Boards that are irrelevant for your niche, I recommend making them secret. If they are Boards that you don't want on your business account at all, you can just archive them :)
I'm trying to figure out what content can be pinned onto my boards if I am not pinning other peoples pins. I think in the past (for personal use) I pinned other peoples ideas and pins. Are we to take our own photos and create our own pins? Thanks you!
There's a huge different between using it for personal use, and using it for marketing your business. 🙂Do you have a business you want to market on Pinterest?
If you have an old account that has other people's pins on your boards, do you recommend deleting the pins or just keeping them there and not worry about them?
This is a great question! If the Board is relevant to your business/niche, and something that you'll be creating content for consistently, definitely keep it. If it doesn't pertain to your niche, you can just go ahead and make it secret. If you are keeping the Board, but it has other people's Pins like you mentioned... I don't think you need to go in and delete them. I would just focus on only creating Pins for your content moving forward! 😀 Let me know if this helps?
Such a great video, you offer so much value! How many boards do you recommend that someone has? Like for a new'ish account versus an established account - is there like an optimal range we should consider?
Hi Kelly! Great question, and thank you so much for your kind words... I appreciate it so much! I typically aim for 10-15 Boards when I'm starting an account from scratch. They will serve as your content buckets, and of course, you can add to them over time!
When I click on edit board, I have two options to change the heading or description, but there is no option to upload an image on the board. Is there a way to upload/insert an image on the board? Without an image board looks like a blank white sheet of paper.
You can Pin other people's Pins, and then use one of those images as a cover photo, or you can create a Pin for the specific Board that you're wanting a cover photo for, save the Pin to that Board, and then select it as the cover photo :)

Can you upload your own board covers?

People usually are very visual on Pinterest, which is why I personally like to use somebody else’s amazing photography as my Pinterest board cover
Yes, but it has to be uploaded as a Pin and saved to the specific Board where you want to use it as a cover :)
Glad I found a Pinterest guru :)

@emileevales thats super helpful, thanks for taking the time to give me feedback, I appreciate you!
I wanted to ask you a question. If you make some of your boards private, will it reduce your views?
It's possible, but if they aren't relevant to your business/niche, the views aren't beneficial. Therefore, it wouldn't be a detriment. 🙂
@@emileevales Thank you
In the Saved section, I'm not able to see all the Boards that I've created. I have a lot (more than 30). Any ideas?
You should be able to see all of them, unless they've somehow been archived or deleted. Are any of the ones that appear to be missing group boards?
@@emileevales I don't remember exactly what happened, but I think I refreshed the page or something and I could see them all again. Thanks though.
@theapexpredator157 oh good! Glad you got it figured out! Thank you for your patience with the response

You have to have pins in your board first before you can pick an image for your board because it’s picking images from the pins inside the board
You can Pin other people's Pins, and then use one of those images as a cover photo, or you can create a Pin for the specific Board that you're wanting a cover photo for, save the Pin to that Board, and then select it as the cover photo :)
Have you wondered about what type of Boards your should be creating?
