I love the story of Queen Esther. We need more virtuous women like her for such a time as this!
Crazy how a story so old can be so incredibly relevant to today, and in so many ways.
Even crazier is how important it is in ways least expected to lives seemingly so different.
My mother and brother are in crisis. My brother is homeless in Boston, where winter is harsh. Just last night my sister and I were discussing Esther and their 3 day fast. Today this video came to my phone via a notification! It's pretty clear God wants me to fast for 3 days for my family.
Please pray for my homeless brother MG that he will find safe and permanent housing asap. Please pray for my 80 year-old mother Olivia, that this burden may be lifted from her shoulders.
I keep their names on the temple prayer roll.

Sorry I just saw this comment, I hope he is doing better, I recently got back from Utah to Mississippi where I'm from and where I first joined the church, while I was in Utah I discovered many things some about the church and some not, one thing I learned is that most large cities like Boston have extensive shelters set up for homeless with employment services and clothing available, also the salvation army is good about purchasing bus tickets for those who have family in other cities all they have to do is speak to them over the phone and hear they have a place to stay once they reach there. Hope everything is going well and if not I hope it gets better, I was 6 months homeless while in Utah then came back to MS in Nov and was still homeless but finally found employment and then was able to move back to my home city and into a home in the last week of May
We are all here "for such a time as this." What is our own personal purpose in life? Something worth considering. May we be as brave as Queen Esther.
Our life lessons and experiences are needed by the Lord to help others on the earth to find Him. I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I was not always a member I was raised in a different faith. I have asked God myself and I have received my answer He has established His church again on the earth to prepare for His return. The doctrines of the church are based on Love and Truth and answers do come from God to ALL who have a desire to come to Him. He LOVES ALL HIS CHILDREN and that is why he has brought his church. He is helping us everyday in so many ways to get ready. There is so much help from Him. Esther is always mentioned as a great example of integrity and courage. When I read the book of Esther, it didn't seem so miraculous that she went to the king and said "Hey, stop."
This video helped me understand just how grave the situation really was. Thank you for illustrating more fully how Esther did in fact have a lot of courage.
The power of faith, fasting and prayers is great.
Each of us need the courage of Ester. In a coming day we will have an opportunity to demonstrate such faith.
This fits our time as well. I do pray we may all be strong like Esther and Mordici. Stay safe in Christ.

I agree because Lucifer and his followers want everyone who is obedient and to be killed. They put down everybody who a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of latter day saints and the prosecute the prophets and they mock our Father in Heaven and the Saviour and they hate us all. But since the church is growing and getting stronger they are losing and God is only getting more powerful day by day and since He's getting stronger so is His Son The Messiah. They should cower at Their name's and voices but they laugh and scorn us and Them. Let's keep on keeping on.

that's why i'm proud of anyone who can get up during fast and testimony and meeting tell the congregation that the church isn't true, Joesph smith was making it all up as he went along, and that the Holy Ghost is just your own mind and emotions being manipulated by conditioning.
Open your heart ask God if the Book of Mormon is true. And ask if Joseph Smith was indeed the living Prophet, assigned to bring the true Church of Jesus Christ back into the world. I believe you will be answered. I wish you all the best. I know the book is true. I know Joseph Smith was his true Prophet. I know this is his true church just as I know he loves us one and all. @@andywaynebrooks 'Tell them'. Not testify to them... So, such wouldn't have a testimony thst the church isn't true, just an opinion. Fast & testimony meeting is a time to bear testimony not to express opinions.

I loved the "ending." It was a mild reproach for placing (even temporarily) more value on the telling of the story than on its true message of exercising faith and courage when it is most difficult to do so. That message was very adequately delivered--when you already know the ending.

@@ay613 We are the Church of JESUS CHRIST of Latter Day Saints. We believe that through Faith in Jesus Christ we are saved, but that true faith is always marked by a soul following the commandments of God. If one claimed to follow God with their lips but then did not follow His teachings, wouldn't they be a hypocrite?
I mean no offense, but I hope that perhaps this can help clarify what we believe.
This is a Mormon channel, mormans are not Christians. They have different beliefs, they believe in adding to the gospel with good works saves them. They believe in a different Jesus who is the brother of satan, they believe in many gods and that they can become gods. They believe everyone will go to heaven or at least one of the levels of heaven. Look into their beliefs just because they say they follow Jesus and the Bible doesn’t mean anything, they have a lot of false beliefs that contradict the Bible. They follow a false prophet Joseph smith who was a Pedophile, a polygamist and a liar and a false book, the Book of Mormon. They believe the Bible is for the Jewish people and the Book of Mormon are doctrines given to prophets in America for Americans. They are not Christians

I have a movie called One Night With The King. She was selected by the King as The Queen of Israel. It's about Esther whose real name in Hebrew is "Hadassah". The name means Myrtle Tree and in the Bible it represents the recovery of God's Promises. The movie is Great.
