Then you have sajin who they idiotically made a NAD unit both times. Not even necessary in brave battles. Loses to orihime and only stops yhwach’s boost so everybody just uses chad, soifon, candice, future society orihime instead.
i really like the comeback gremmy got and how they implemented all of the attacks he did in the anime on basically every single one of his attacks down to the NA and the SB. he's up there with one of my most favourite visually looking characters so far
Shinji is cool but he is mid month and tybw shinji isnt that hype overall anyways. Hollow bankai is also far from toshs coolest form in this arc and ts ichigo is just much more fun with the sprinter plus two and long stride
imo, the way I rank them is quite different mostly cuz of one character. 1. Gremmy, best support solid unit overall, extremely safe and unlike 8th anniv Ichigo has good DPS on top of it 2. Kenpachi, Absurd DPS monster, he's very awkward to play at times but if you get it working right he's nuts. 3. Soi Fon, this unit is the best support unit for Limit breaker and is an invaluable lead in her GQ, absolutely stellar character, also extremely fun to play imo. Guard Break is an issue but it's not enough to make me ignore the 20% CD reduction each map and 20% heal each map for limit breaker which can save a run for your max stam damage. 4. Toshiro, best lead for 2 GQs, one of which he's literally irreplaceable for, really solid damage, and pretty smooth playstyle. 5. Sajin a bit of a wild card, but he's absolutely shutting down 2 of the more annoying brave battle characters by himself, giving him an edge in the mode. 6. Shinji, the best lead of his GQ, actually fairly better than Macy which really surprise me, because of all his attacks being so instant he can take advantage of weaken heavily, unlike Macy. He's also just really fun in general to use, that strong attack 1 is absurd. 7. Parasol Shunsui, I know I'm going to get some eyebrows for this but he's really the only solid NAD DPS for Melee Squad Zero and he's a booster at that, right now you can go pure nad with Maid Orihime as booster, or booster with Academy Shuhei to boost Yumichika thanks to him, which helps a fair bit. 8. Mugetsu, alright I'm sure people are wondering why the hell he's so low, it's mostly because if you check him in a vacuum he's amazing, however as far as melee hollow killer is concerned we have Yhwach, Bruno, Cang Du, hell Yama can clear and a lot of people have him 5/5, it's not that he's useless it's that he's replaceable overall. Good unit, horrible killer and I see nowhere in the game where he particularly shine unless you really need a strong power character to carry people. 9. Parasol Nanao, again not a horrible unit, she's mostly a link to be frank however, if you have Tech Halibel you're never going to use her as a main unit... 10. Kensei, just like Mugetsu he's pretty replaceable, until he becomes a consistent filler in TYBW banners I don't think I'll get him, not that I hate the character but Hollow Mask Shinji is permanent and a lot of us have him 5/5, the 500ATK is pretty huge when fighting 4.5k DEF enemies, so while Kensei might be an upgrade, he's a rather small upgrade unfortunately.

Having a PVP character above Shinji and Tosh is wild. I personally love ranged units and both Tosh and Shinji are a couple of my favorite characters, so it’s just a crazy take to me
Surprised you’ve thrown this out before EOM. But I’ll say in terms of just pure enjoyability Soi Fon is #1, she’s just so rapid and makes playing around with her a blast.
Soi Fon - Incredible unit with fun kit and great visuals. Best lead for her GQ week and one of the best limit breaker characters. She may not have guard break, but she's just too fun to play for me to care Shinji - I've been waiting for this character for years. To finally have another bankai Shinji in bbs is so hype, and to make it even better, he's a goated unit that can actually replace Macy. He would be my number one if he wasn't a mid-month character Kenpachi - This is probably the most lore accurate kenpachi we are going to get for a while. He will also likely be the hardest hitting unit in the game for some time to come. Mugetsu - Hype way to start off the anniversary countdown. I just found him a little boring Toshiro - Love the way he plays and I love the design, but I've seen a lot of this guy in bbs so even though it's a new form, I wasn't that excited to see him on part two of the anniversary. Sajin - Human form Sajin coming in with flurry +3 was a big step forward for NAD characters. Maybe future NAD characters can be better designed for PVE content. I also loved his NAD string. The TLA:Reverb Kensei we got before left a bad taste in my mouth because he has a Killer you won't be getting much out of outside of HQ, and in GQ, he lacks the proper immunity, lacked Havoc and Guardbreak. So TYBW Kensei is an upgrade over that TLA:Reverb version imo. I just don't need him because Yamamoto, Hollowfied Shinji and FB Sajin are still destroying Melee Hollow GQ.
Here's my hot take, I took parasol shunsui on step 10 instead of mugetsu, I needed shunsui for GQ, mugetsu was premium, even though seasonal units come back quickly, turned out to pull mugetsu on 1500 BBS tickets, then a 2nd copy the week after the banner went away, so I guess I still W

I'm new player, and I thought about using Kensei 5/5 for pvp (with mind Sajin and power Issin) For the technique sp chars I have Ichibe 1/5 so maybe I should do Shinji 5/5 for my the best technique char? So the question is it more profitable to do 5/5 Kensei to do nice pvp?
Don’t go for kensei at all he’s a guild quest unit and has nothing that would make him good in pvp because his boost gets stopped by sajin i recommend just getting 1 shinji and pulling on the ichigo yhwach banner if you want a pvp character orihime is the best in the game and she’s in that banner Edit: oops nvm the ichigo yhwach banner is gone
Or maybe I still should do the Kensei 5/5 cuz he is good for guild quests and nice link and with max transcendence on attack he is amazing link for a character

i honestly agree with this list besides the parasol characters, Shunsui and Kensei should be reversed since Kensei is arguably thr better character for links usability etc. sajin should have been below toshiro at six, Tosh at 5, soi fon 4. Characters that have less usability or content restrictions (brave battled only built for bravr battle) should ofc be lower while the characters that excel in all gamemodes higher which brings the question why Shinji is low. Squad zero killer = GQ. although i love him hes very underwhelming compared to what we got which is unfortunate.
Saying Shinjis built fot GQ is kinda weird so im clarifying. He will Excel at his Highest in GQ but he clears IT/IZ easy or any other content in the game, just unfortunate he got literally one of the worst killers in the game as a + version.
Ngl, I despise brave battles (they are a necessary evil at this point) so I was really sad that sajin being a bb unit. He would be 10 and ngl I love nag GQ units. It is all a matter of preference.

they can do part 10 anniversary or whatever the real anniversary characters will always be only one banner the banner that is the closest to the actual anniversary day
Zaraki’s good but I feel like Toshiro and Soifon are just more useful/ have better kits than he does. He has raw damage but the other two are better in literally every other scenario. My list would have been Gremmy> Mugetsu> Toshiro=Soifon> Kenny=Shinji>Sajin>Parasol characters
Kenny is better than gremmy damage wise. gremmy has close damage but a better kit better skills and complete status and reversal plus utlity booster for quincies...Gremmy is overtuned and overall the superior character
slow yes adding a long stride fix that since he doesnt need more damage the extra 200 is nothing... in GQ he doesnt need to be fast since he will nuke the waves...so his only issue is in coop has no status immunity but hes still a monster if u play good and didge the status aliment
They did with gremmy what kubo did with aizen . They made him too overpowered . I don’t see another character like gremmy coming for a very long time let alone on ebetter than him .

Don’t go for kensei at all he’s a guild quest unit and has nothing that would make him good in pvp because his boost gets stopped by sajin i recommend just getting 1 shinji and pulling on the ichigo yhwach banner if you want a pvp character orihime is the best in the game and she’s in that banner

i honestly agree with this list besides the parasol characters, Shunsui and Kensei should be reversed since Kensei is arguably thr better character for links usability etc. sajin should have been below toshiro at six, Tosh at 5, soi fon 4.
Characters that have less usability or content restrictions (brave battled only built for bravr battle) should ofc be lower while the characters that excel in all gamemodes higher which brings the question why Shinji is low. Squad zero killer = GQ. although i love him hes very underwhelming compared to what we got which is unfortunate.
Saying Shinjis built fot GQ is kinda weird so im clarifying. He will Excel at his Highest in GQ but he clears IT/IZ easy or any other content in the game, just unfortunate he got literally one of the worst killers in the game as a + version.
Ngl, I despise brave battles (they are a necessary evil at this point) so I was really sad that sajin being a bb unit. He would be 10 and ngl I love nag GQ units. It is all a matter of preference.
I hope the Brave Battle update KLab is working on will make it better because it feels like an obligation at this point and not a fun gamemode

Zaraki’s good but I feel like Toshiro and Soifon are just more useful/ have better kits than he does. He has raw damage but the other two are better in literally every other scenario. My list would have been Gremmy> Mugetsu> Toshiro=Soifon> Kenny=Shinji>Sajin>Parasol characters

Kenny is better than gremmy damage wise.
gremmy has close damage but a better kit better skills and complete status and reversal plus utlity booster for quincies...Gremmy is overtuned and overall the superior character

Kenpachi is my least favorite. His kit sucks and he’s really slow. He gets lacerated constantly in arena.
slow yes adding a long stride fix that since he doesnt need more damage the extra 200 is nothing...
in GQ he doesnt need to be fast since he will nuke the waves...so his only issue is in coop has no status immunity but hes still a monster if u play good and didge the status aliment
