Hello, this might be a silly question, but a Centur'ion monster in the MP zone is continuous spell-like. However, when it activates its effect to special summon itself, is this considered a monster effect or a spell effect? Can phantom of Yubel activate as Chain 2 to Primera’s special summon? Or would a spell negate be more effective to prevent Primera’s special summon?

Great questions! So they are treated as continuous traps in the backrow, when they activate to special summon themselves that is treated as a trap effect. Veiler, Phantom and other monster effect negations can’t negate the effects to special summon from backrow, but can negate the effects of the monsters once they are summoned to the main monster zone, cuz they are once again treated as monsters. Trap negations are more effective in negating the centurion monsters in backrow, as are effects that destroy or banish them chained to the special summon effect, like ghost ogre or cosmic cyclone.

Hey, when primera primus was synchro summoned on 1st game, we could have used her effect to destroy a card on your side and another card on the opposite field?

Are you also finding pure, the best version with a few bystials or are you going through addition of other types based on your other video??

@@jayserrano4428 just based on some test hands I’ve been running, pure with a chunky bystial package is the best so far, I’ll probably run another week with pure then try some of the variants

@@jayserrano4428 yeah definitely just getting used to the new cards lol, i definitely forget to use that effect where it matters way more in the next two videos after this one
