It's an open beta, calm down. Perhaps public beta testing is not within your tolerance level. If it were you would have posted some meaningful input, not spout the ramblings of a little girl during her first period!!!
I just ran the game with my Oculus Quest 2, is laggy as f**k. Super super early access, Automovilista 2 is waaay better in VR. This really need some Development time.
Okay thanks for trying it out! I’m bummed that switching to Quest won’t fix the terrible framerate! Haha I prefer AC1 over this by a mile! But I’m hopeful Kunos won’t drop this 🤞
I gotta try vr still but i broke my toe yesterday so i shouldnt be doing racing stuff. Ill report back my performance later. 5600x/6700xt, 32gb ddr4, quest 2
We need ace step 2 VR patch & an Nvidea driver update for starts, should get a much better idea of what the future holds, In VR best I got was 37 fps locked on a terrible low resolution, but the potential is clearly there, exciting times.
I hope they work on the VR along with everything else and don’t wait for forever! I didn’t like FSR but not sure DLSS will be great for VR but we will see! I was just guesstimating but I was probably 30fps or lower on medium settings with removing reflections etc. not a great start
Managed to get it to a stable 72fps on my Quest 3. Took me an entire evening of experimenting but its now running pretty well. Its just not well optimized at the moment. Don't go over 11 cars in a race. Initially I was gonna refund. But glad I spent the time tweaking. A few patches and it will be great. In the oculus app choose the max render res and set it to 72hz. Then in debug tool set the Pixel per display override to 0 (could experiment with 0.9 - 0.75) Fov tangient mp to .0.85 ; 0.65 You can also use openxr toolkit. Upscaling FSR Size 85%. Experiment with in game settings (it seems you have to quit the game and relaunch it for the in game settings to take effect.)
@@nongamerplayswell it isn’t complete and it can only get better. We weren’t even supposed to be able to do it in VR yet. I think we should be thankful that you can use it now as it is
Oh I’m fully aware and okay with it being Early Access. But I disagree on the VR part. They said VR from day one and granted it has VR… but not usable in any real way. So I’m bummed about that and won’t be playing flatscreen in the meantime (I only play in VR). I’m excited to see how it improves!
@ really? I’ve been watching the videos on this and people weren’t sure if VR would work on the Early Access but it’s good to know. I understand what you mean about doing it on a flatscreen it just doesn’t feel right when you race on VR all the time. It will get better and I believe it will be the best Sim Racing experience ever. I have to try this out on my quest 2 hopefully they will be updates soon 👍
Yeah im capped at 40fps at the highs at anytime with q3 and 7900xtx 5800x3d. ac1 runs like a dream, will have to wait a few months for it to get optimized, i hope
Reading through these comments is hilarious... They release a couple of cars and track for us to test and give feedback to for a discounted price while being completely transparent about what content is available and what isnt... yet people are stil yapping about "how bad this fully released and 100% finished game" is. pathetic community. I am enjoying my time ingame. I didn’t see any comment here about it being a full game. These discussions are important so Kunos knows what needs fixed. And for me at least, playing in VR isn’t viable so it’s a valid complaint that the VR doesn’t work yet. That’s great you’re having good experience with it (flatscreen) but the majority of my content and viewers are here for VR information.
@@nongamerplays It's not just here, it's every comment section of any acevo video. People are getting insanely mad in their comments like the game has been out for a decade and they spend their life savings on it, yall gotta chill. I didnt watch your entire video and what i saw was pretty chill but the comments often are not chill whatsoever. Mentioning whats good in the game helps the game just as much as hating on the bad features btw
I hear ya there. I’m sure plenty of people let hype cloud their expectations and a 0.1.1 release should be perfect in their eyes. That’s really too bad. I’ve said many times I’m excited for the upcoming patches. And I’ll be trying on every patch to see if it’s improved. I’m in this for the long haul as AC1 is one of my favorite sims
I'm super happy with it even with an Elite 2 Controller though the controller should be better but haven't messed with my settings on it yet. Graphics are awesome and runs smooth even when it dips both laptops I tried it on didn't even make the fans go crazy.🤷♂️
It's not even that it's demanding, it's simply broken. Running a 4080 and 9800x3d with pretty much the exact same results. very dissapointing
Was that in VR? I noticed other than some occasional stutter and pop in that people who streamed it flat had a better result than mine in VR
@@nongamerplays Yup. Quest 3. Monitor does seem to be fine, but who wants to drive in 2d right :)
@rayviljoen2284 certainly not me anymore! VR all the way

how come guys? I have 60 fps very smooth, all ultra. quest 3, render 100%

They have plenty of time, and now, an influx of cash. The roadmap is very encouraging!!!
@tenToesUp747 I’m hopeful! I enjoy both AC1 and ACC!

Hey what vr headset is that? Looks great
Thanks! It’s the Bigscreen Beyond HMD - it’s got microOLED screens. Pretty nice but kinda pricey
@nongamerplays I'm buying it thank you!
Get the audio strap too. It’s way more comfortable. Speakers are mid+ tho
@nongamerplays ok cool i didn't even know it was out yet I'm coming from an index
@workbirdygaming having the base stations already will take some of the sting out of the price - I didn’t have them prior!
is there a command for center the view? can't find it
Hidden in the camerasettings. Very far down below ist reset or recenter camera option
And it doesn’t say so, it it’s for VR recentering too

Thanks for sharing your settings! Hopefully it’ll help people play with their quest while we wait for VR version2 in their next updates!
lets wait for stage 2 vr.
That’s what I would recommend to anyone who hasn’t purchased yet
Well, i'm not paying for this yet.
I feel you there. I’m going to stick it out and I’ll post updates if it improves

It seems to work pretty well flatscreen I agree. I prefer VR for sim racing (and everything else)
AMS2 is the best of all sim racing games
Good to have a favorite!
If VR works, yes kind of got 37fps on 4090 😂😂😂😂
ouch, my 3080 is gonna die
I think once it’s optimized we should be able to get decent fps on 30-series cards
