- Why should you support the green faction? In our previous video, we talked about the reasons why we should support Rhaenyra's side, but now it is the turn of the green side, who currently hold all the power, and are keeping the seven kingdoms under control. In this video, we will be presenting seven reasons why we should support Alicent and Aegon's side.
Team Black. Viscerys chose Rhaenyra.
The majority of the Lords of Westeros chose Aegon. The Lords chose Viserys instead of Rhaenys in the first place. Democracy>>>Dictatorship. The king who fights his own battles himself. The king who has trueborn sons in the line of succession, not bastards. The one who wields the blade of the conqueror and wears his crown and has his name. He might not be the best, but he's certainly better than Rhaenyra considering Rhaenyra's husband had Aegon's first son killed.

It doesn’t matter which side you support, the Dance of the Dragons still happens. I’m for Rhaenyra in spite of the reasons given here.
I do want to point out that Alicent went against Vicerys wish that Rhaenyra be crowned Queen. But her father manipulated her to put Aegon as King.

@@user-mh5nk5zh9i Bruh, even Aegon III acknowledged Aegon II as his predecessor. Aegon II was merciful to let Aegon III live after what the blacks did to his son. Rhaenyra was the usurper by all accounts. Aegon III even married Jaehaera, daughter of Aegon II to strengthen his claim. Rhaenyra never had the crown of the conqueror and neither, the sword. Rhaenyra's heir, Jace never got the throne.

All of these reasons are reasons to support Queen Rhaenyra.
In EP10, she told her sons they must follow the faith of the Seven, so the faith would still be safe under Rhaenyra.
Aegon is the one who doesn't respect anyone, so it's ok for Aegon to have children out of marriage in the most horrible way possible but is not ok for Rhaenyra when there's a valid reason why.
No one will dare revolt or start chaos against Rhaenyra when Daemon is around, so the realm will be in peace.
Rhaenyra is the one that would unite the realm against NK, she is the one who knows the prophecy.
And Rhaenyra would be a great ruler, in EP10 we already started seeing how she cares about the realm and how she wanted peace and unity more than anything, plus like Jaehaerys, she has been trained to rule since she was little. Your point that she is a bad ruler is invalid, along with all of the other reasons.

Well considering Otto surpported Rhaenyra until he saw how monstrous Alicent could be using the cat's paw dagger on Rhaenyra... Not to mention Otto wanted to send the honorable Kings Guardman to assasinate Rhaenyra and her family before they got a chance to find out Viserys was even dead? Nope, team black.

Otto set up Rhaenyra to fall, took advantage of his own daughter once she showed her anger, then his friend Viserys dies and his next thought was to kill her. "Be quick and be clean" Funny enough Alicent is against it and offers terms. Blood and cheese are nuts and Rhaenyra may have not been worthy of the thrown but Otto should have been fed to Syrax long ago. Conspiracy to commit murder before Rhaenyra even did anything. We are talking show Rhaenyra and Otto. She is actually seeking a peaceful resolution as opposed to Otto. The only innocent one in this show is Helena so far. You can't argue for one without seeing that both sides will bring fire and blood either way but Otto has been seeking ascension before Viserys was even named king. That is some Tywin Lannister stuff.
@@Ozzywozzy what about Aemond if we are talking exclusively about the show Aemond is pretty innocent since it wasn’t his fault Lucarys died and while Otto made Viserys reign actually good even though Viserys was a weak king and sure he schemed but so does every lord and lady even the starks I can see you have read fire and blood and know that the greens are much better there but don’t forget many in the show got hurt killed or could have been hurt or killed because of Rhenyra and her allies you can also see that Rhenyra is not worthy of the throne in the show and books and in the show which demonized Aegon Aegon is not worthy of throne however if Aegon was the king in the show the realm would still be better off since Aegon has a great council with experienced men like Otto who as you can see in the show have done a fine job ruling and in the universe of game of thrones and asoiaf it does matter who is more worthy of the throne the people obviously love the greens more and with Rhenys killing all those small folk in the show and Rhenyra never even scolding her it’s no wonder people like the greens more

#1 could be used on both sides had the greens honored Viserys decision in the first place there would be no bloodshed no reason for a war otto turned allicent against rhaenyera and allicent turned her children against rhaenyra's children pinning both sides against each other causing chaos which was 100% avoidable
Then also i think Viserys could have given up his throne to rhaenyra when he was becoming too weak to rule making sure her position was secure.
All this could be avoided if Viserys had honoured the established tradition of all the Targaryen kings where the succession was concerned.
This was his fault, if he was so keen on Rhaenyra ruling then he should have never begotten any sons that could challenge her claim. Anyone who has an inkling of Westeros history would know how this would end up. Viserys was either too ignorant or too arrogant, thinking the rules that got him on the throne in the first place would not also apply to subsequent generations.
The greens manipulate the king to start of with. So how can you trust an manipulator?
How did the greens manipulate Viserys? If that we true, he would have disinherited Rhaenyra and her strong boys. The fact that he didn't do that means there is no way the greens could manipulate him.

These are the reasons why I am rooting for Team Green. Especially with Alicent's better judgment. She didn't ask for the circumstances where she's in, but she obviously has better judgment.
Otto supported Raenyra to keep Daemon from being the Heir. He knew she would be easier to be disputed after his daughter had a son.
I blame Viserys for all his wrong choices. I don't know if Otto had a spell on him but all his advice to the king was to promote himself and not the Kingdom. The same reason he hated Daemon and manipulated Viserys to hate Daemon to the extent of dethroning him as heir was for Ottos own selfish ambition. Otto succeeded in creating enmity between two brothers. Now same Otto who didn't agree for Renearhra to be queen adviced Viserys to name her as heir, after killing the King's male heir at birth then continues to push her daughter to the King when as Hand of the King he knew the best choice for Viserys was Laena Velaryon. Otto was serving himself. Viserys should have killed Otto for multiples of treason from the time of King Jeahearys to the day he dismissed him as hand but here again Viserys brought him again to be hand in the latter part of his reign after knowing all there is to know about Otto. Viserys was weak and unfit to be King as Daemon said to him.
Again, Even b4 the thought of Sir Laenor and Renearhra, Viserys should have married Renaehra to Daemon and declared their son heir.
The greens could never have been King also because they did not have the secret to the Kingdom. King Viserys trusted the kingdom secrets to Renearhra and that's more reason she should be Queen and don't forget the Unification of the 7 kingdoms was as a results of that secrets Viserys trusted to Renearhra. The King Made his choice and that was final!!!
Well considering that Aemond KILLED Lucerys, it is the Greens and the actions of someone who did not know how to control the nuclear weapon he rode Vhagar and it resulted in the death that then kick started this war….I actually believe that Rhaenyra would have given the answer that Alicent wanted but once her son was murdered any forgiveness she might have thought about went right out the window
Demon was loyal and did what needed to be done. Otto was wrong the entire time. Imagine being the kings brother and you’re not hand knowing the kings hand is a snake. And Viserys was trying to brake the wheel bc he knew Rhaneys should have been queen. And half supported Rhanerya as well. These things sadly occur to usher in change. I think there’s times I’ll like the greens too

The fact that Viserys chose Rhaenyra is irrelevant. No other king did that, they all followed the established succession law. If great transformational Kings like Aegon the Conqueror and Jaehaerys the Conciliator did not get to chose thier heir but instead followed the set precedent then why does a mediocre king like Viserys get to do as he likes?

Not entirely true but Alicent's misunderstanding helps their legitimacy. Otto and members of the council were plotting to put Aegon on the throne anyway., I support Team Green because Alicent has been ruling whereas Rhaenyra has not really taken that much interest in the realm only claiming that it's necessary for her to rule because of a prophecy and we all know how often prophecies are misunderstood in Westeros.
The only reason Otto got to be hand of the king was because he murdered the previous hand who was the real reason why Viscerys kingdom was a success. Otto Hightower has always been a conniving snake hungry for power

Helaena can see the future? Then why can't she save Agon's Heir? It's not an asset if she can't do anything with it. Not once has any of her visions served her family. How about her brother's eye that she could have saved? All her visions have done is drive her mad.
I believe myself to be a fair minded ASOINF fan and although I have been a staunch BLACK's supporter since reading Fire & Blood this video does make me question my allegiance. You have made excellent points however in the end honor and justice will not prevail in Westeros with a mad man like Aegon II on the throne. I reluctantly remain a supporter of the Blacks Targaryen
The Greens are not keeping the seven kingdoms under control. At least we know that the north will declare for the black, Being that rhaenyra's mother is from the vale, they may declare for the black too. The riverlands and iron Irelands we don't know yet who they might declare for, but since Daemon is meeting lord Grover himself, I am assuming they may not have a choice than to declare for the black. Driftmark even though not a full kingdom already declared for the black. So it's going to be a fair fight. The black will control close to half of the seven kingdoms, however they control more of the dragons.

Why does Daemon need to be stopped?! Who started it? Otto wanted Daemon gone so he talks Viserys into naming Rhaenyra is heir. Daemon did nothing. Daemon never lifted a finger against the Green's until AFTER Luke's death when he clearly could have fucked them all up the moment he was exiled in season one. What would stop Daemon from doing that, other than the fact that he didn't want to? Daemon could have run up on KL after he married Laena, the rider of Vhagar and daughter of Corlys. Daemon had ample opportunity and he never did a thing.
Sometimes I think many of you hear what you want. We don't see or hear Daemon trying to take anything from anyone, but, we see Otto and his ilk scheme and plot in every episode to steal another's birthright. Daemon only stayed in Westeros after Laena died because Rhaenyra begged him to. He wanted no more parts in their political bullshit, and he didn't want his girls raised that way.
So, for everyone saying Daemon needs to be stopped, please, give me the page number in F&B or the exact episode and scene in HoTD that shows he actually did something? Daemon doesn't act until Luke is killed and at that point the Green's had struck twice. All bets were off. Daemon had reason to kill Otto long ago with the amount of treason that man was committing. How anyone can be for the full of shit faction is beyond me.
