Oh Al, we miss you so much. I could listen to your stories and music day after day. Thanks so much for introducing me in person to pipes the fist time in person. It was a joy to play with you as are all the memories. See you later, we'll have a tune!
The North East English are great traditional musicians. They have a small version of our Uilleann Pipes ie "The small pipes". The "High Level" hornpipe is named after the high level bridge near Newcastle, England. The Irish Uilleann (elbow) Pipes is surely the greatest version of the Pipes on earth. We owe so much to musicians and teachers like this man.
I will be a new uilliann Piper in about a month. I am finding this very helpful. If anyone knows an instructor near Indiana please reach out to me thank you ...pipe on!!
Mike McDonald Look up Eric Sayer. He’s in Indiana. Cathy Wilde in Louisville. Lemme know if you need any more. Welcome to the family. You will be the best Uilleann Piper in your town....... because you’ll be the only one in your town. And join Chiff and Fipple. You’ll thank me later.
