Francois D’Haene- Hardrock 100 2021- New Course Record- POV coming down Handies Peak (14,058 ft.)

This is Francois D’Haene (4x UTMB Winner) coming down Handies Peak (14,058ft.) after a hail storm at mile 38 of the Hardrock 100 endurance run in Silverton, Colorado on July 16th 2021. Francois went on to beat the course record with a time of 21 hours 45 minutes 50 seconds.
The Hardrock Hundred Mile Endurance run is a 100.5 mile ultramarathon boasting about 33,000 feet of climbing with an average elevation just over 11,000 feet. Depending on the year, it runs clockwise or counterclockwise starting in Silverton passing through the towns of Ophir, Telluride, and Ouray. This section was coming down Handies peak towards Grouse Gulch (counterclockwise) aid station at mile 38 and about 12,500 feet in elevation.
